The last thing I want Respawn/EA to do with TF3 (if it comes out) is for them to play it safe. I want to see some crazy new ideas with the classic emphasis on movement
literally as long as the movement of TF|2 is there, maybe if they somehow improve upon it (I don't see how they could tho), I don't care what Respawn does. Go nuts, just don't change the movement

@@whotfisBriX Exactly. Hell, if "titanfall 3" was quite literally Apex but with Titanfall 2 movement, it would still be fun.
I think they should play it safe with the multi-player but go ham on the singleplayer campaign. For multi-player just add some new titan/pilot classes and a couple new guns (maybe the ones from apex since those are actually kinda cool).
But for the single player campaign I want like multiple endings and like a level where you go into a parallel dimension and kill a giant space squid or something, I don't know just make it cool.
All I could hope for tomorrow, Is the devs saying "Titanfall 3 is officially in the making" that would make me so happy to hear that

Might be hopium but there are even more 3's in the anniversary event in the form of Amped Hardpoint. This is bc the point limit is specifically capped at 300 (new change bc bar in game isnt full), along with all titans only having 3 bars of health

I never really believed it was TF3. I was hoping for a Titanfall 1/2 special edition that contains both games but even that was wishful thinking. What I don't understand is why now? 7 years is a bizarre choice for suddenly celebrating an anniversary. Why not 5 years? Or 6? Just seems odd.

It's mind blowing to me watching gameplay like this and realising thats how quick the TTK is supposed to be. I don't know if its just slow connection from playing from Australia (like it used to be with Halo) but it takes easily twice as many bullets for me to kill anyone
Im Australian too, and there are Sydney servers. I'm not from Sydney, but I still get 60 ping every game so idk why you'd be having such bad connection?

Someone did the math way back and determined the Amped Alternator can kill in 0.01 seconds if you get headshots. That's not the usual TTK for the majority of the weapons lol

ive been playing titanfall since day one of both releases. It hurts man, I just want titanfall 3, I remember finishing the campaign at 13 years old, in tears cause of bts sacrifice, then seeing the hidden message. Thats the day my hope for a third game started, and I have held on to that for the past 7 years. Tomorrow will either make me cry tears of joy, or tears of disappointment.

since it's not the 28th yet, I'm still holding onto some hope lol. The playlist update could have just been scheduled on the servers clock time, which is a weird time imo considering happy hour lands at 4am for me, but I'd assume any announcement would be scheduled at a better time (and when it's actually the anniversary date for most people). I shall continue to pray while knowing we may be trolled.

Still sad to see despite knowing the chances of this not happening were slim, but also still happy to at least have my favourite game fixed and to have a blast with everyone else on it!

As someone who bought Titanfall 2 last month and has been actively playing it since, I have to say this easily became one of my more favorite shooters. The fluid movement, the way the weapons complement the fast paced gameplay. The big robots swatting Pilots like flies and beating each other up like its the WWE. Everything about this game just has me hooked and I easily clocked in about 60 hours so far. I just really hope Respawn keeps the official servers alive. I could go to Northstar but all the veterans are there and the transition would be a lot harder. Either way I love this game and would love to keep playing it.
As hopeful as I am for Titanfall 3, it would probably be like Halo Infinite, having terrible progression, little content, and awful monetization. I feel like it would be better just to update Titanfall 2 one last time, adding a few maps, guns, and features.

If Respawn is trolling then we are truly lost. There have been way too many references to the number 3 _and_ it's almost the 7th anniversary. That on top of the listing in that one website makes _fairly_ certain that TF3 is happening.

I unfortunately agree with you on Titanfall 3. I'm kinda actively hope they don't do it. The money printing machine that is apex legends, taught EA the wrong lessons. If they ever do Titanfall 3, I'm think It's absolutely gonna be soulless and corporate. As much as I crave the titanfall experience when it was at its peak, I know that Titanfall 3 ain't gonna be it :(

Something I noticed is on the 2 new maps they added to frontier defense relic and colony 1 all the waves on both are named the same 1. united we stand 2. Seeking the main path 3. Cutting another path 4. Blind patch 5. Divided we ambush. now the first and last one is on the srs symbol so you can either look at bt's nose paint or look at the banner for it and lastly relic was the 3rd mission in the titanfall 1 campaign missions probably just coincidence though
Happy FAIL Anniversary. It's an absolute shame and some of us Die-hard originals deep down, knew this. We've been there through all the years of being ignored. Why would they change their tune now? The anniversary game mode forces you to have holopilot equipped and you get 2 charges plus yourself. 3 pilots, 3 games.

Things haven't looked good for a LONG time, but on the bright side, the game is playable, no queue time and no DDOS, which is fine, for now. Maybe I'm just too jaded after years of let-downs. Glad you're on the ride with us!!!

I played the game back at launch, i played on PC before the DDOS's started, i played on northstar during the DDOS's, ive played on vanilla again now that they are fixed. I haven't had much hope for a 3rd game for a *very* long time. And overall i think your right, if it did become a thing...... theres a chance it could be great, better progression, skins worth getting, better balance. But there's just as much a chance of the game being microtransaction filled, or worse imo be apex but with titans. Think about it, they have this giant game, which is fairly approachable (talking about apex). And if they actually made Titanfall 3 and made it TRUE titanfall movement..... it would be hard for some people to play after apex. Titanfall 2 movement is by far my favorite movement system in any FPS.
Over the past year ive spent dozens of hours just in training learning it. Learning all the speed running tech and shit, and oh my god its so good. The only issue with this system is that if you take a gen 100 player crack head, and put him next to a gen 1 player. The newbie has zero chance, absoloutely none, the gen 100 half the time will be going so fast the gen 1 cant even hit the guy. And weve seen this happen! The amount of time's ive seen a relatively new player, be very frustrated and unable to get many kills because the entire enemy team is just B hopping and flying across the map is uh.... a fair amount.
It has issues, mainly the skill ceilling being so high that it can make the skill *gap* insane between players. If a Titanfall 3 happen'd and it was APEX but with Titans. I. Would. Refuse. To. Play. It. Apex is a great game for other people, I just hate it. If you enjoy Apex, that is fine. Dont let anyone tell you it isnt, just for me, as someone who played Titanfall first, and prefers faster games. I cant see Apex as anything other than Titanfall, minus movement tech, and chasing trends. Am i biased? ABSOLOUTELY, but i just prefer Titanfall 2 aight?
PS: With the amount of (relatively) small community, fast paced games i play or have played. It wouldnt be terrible if there never was a 3rd game. Something ive taken away from my favorite franchise, Halo. Its better to leave you wanting for more, then to continue and dillouting it to the point of you leaving in dissapointment.
I honestly think it is great that they gave us the anniversary playlist, but man do all the modes in it suck.

I'm talking about the anniversary playlist modes itself, the Amped hard point with no boosts and reduced health, the attrition with no titans (this one is actually just the worst), and the skirmish with reduced hp and fall damage (it is the best out of the bunch).
Titanfall 3 would be nice but I'd rather see them support Titanfall 2 again.

I think a Titanfall 3 would be so awesome, with better mechanics, gameplay, and looks. It’s almost like a win-win situation, since Respawn (EA) could easily get a whole lot of money and benefit from a good Titanfall 3. After Anthem was trashed, I was extremely disappointed, so I’m hoping for a win.
Even if this is all it is. It's something. Sure it's barely something after years of silence. But it is something. Which is more than I thought would happen. (I thought it'd be a tweet from the respawn account. Not even the titanfall one.) So long as the game can still be played, I'll be happy. (Which is making me think it won't. But, whatever.)
That aside, It's been a while ride. I leveled up a lot, tried some new weapons, Honestly, I can't complain all that much. I sort of knew in the back of my head that TF|3 was never real. So, really all I can say is, that I got more than expected. Which does make me a little happy.
I truly just want a titanfall 2 remaster or remake. It’s such a great game but if it just got cleaned up it would be basically perfect for me.

I love TF2, but TF3 is not coming. If I were an EA executive, TF3 would be too much of a risk and not going to help the bottom line. It's low risk and guaranteed money to focus on current IPs. This is why the Titanfall Legends game was canceled: too much risk.

Never got to play tf2 in it's old days, got it when it was on sale recently. If playlist is all we are getting it's a bit underwhelming, but I won't complain, cause I got more than I could ask for: amazing game that quickly became my favourite, unhinged memes, one of the most wholesome communities I've ever seen (kinda unheard of for an fps game) and many hours of fun with my friends. That's amazing as it is and I'm grateful.
It’s likely just a few guys working on this, not respawn. They probably begged for a while to work on titanfall instead of apex and tried their best. I mean servers fixed, new modes and whole new frontier defense maps? Thats great! But I hope they continue even after the event.

The Northstar client is cool, but it doesn’t compare to the OG titanfall 2. Literal neuron activation when I play Titanfall 2 on the fixed servers. I played for as long as I possibly could until the DDos attacks didn’t even let you into the multiplayer menu. Literally going insane now that it’s fixed, and if all this hype is for a couple playlists that I rarely get, then it would be a massive letdown from Respawn. Trust. Save your overdose of hopium for later today.
