If a person buys a new system with no plan of switching up anything or trying to learn basic system layout. You can buy the svc sub or subs and then match the amp to it. (Ohm wise). Get it professionally installed and don't touch gain, you will never have trouble. A dvc sub gives you more wiring options to be able to use more amps and keep ohms matching stable between amp n sub.
Yes Rockford is expensive but they've been around for decades as well as Kicker and Orion. It looks like he/her put too much power on these or wired them wrong, who knows. I only use T1s and they are the best sounding most accurate quality subs Ive heard to date and I've never blown them. Just give em 2cu -2.25 and tune to 37-40hz\800-1000 watts and youre good to go. Ive loved and have had rockford since the punch 45 in the late 80s....Their impact on their low notes are killer. Their Power Series amps are killer too
The sell fusible box post with the fuses but it doesn't say what fuse to use😉 what CPU and socket. Couple year ago some of the i7 were selling for 100-150$$ 💪👊🎵
Let's be honest, though it's all simple. It's old om's law, it's simple math. It's the stupidest equation whether you're going series or parallel. Or you're combining a series parallel circuit. It's so stupid, we learn it in eighth grade. Shop class.
Awww I was mentioned last minute with Ultra Audio. But yeah I no longer deal with LOB or Ultra. I'm 2600 miles out east enjoying not dealing a person who talks shit about everyone behind their back then acquaintances in front of them.
Well I hope you and your son are doing well. Last time we talked you had some problems with the baby mama. I've always enjoyed your work. Let me know if you're working on anything right now and you want me to promote it
I just bought one of these, D4 12. I plan on running it with a JL RD 1000 at 2 ohms. I have a JL loc 22 also. My question is will the amp and sub match up? Also the amp has the option to have high or low input. Would it be better to use the adapter for the speaker to rca jacks or continue to use the loc? I would really appreciate your input you obviously know audio.
Yeah yeah womp womp. Other unheard of brands are for the poors. I got a aftermarket head unit, it’s a…….SONY!!!! Sorry for keeping with the name brands.
T1 is far better than T0 that’s not a T1 there’s no copper cooling ring and it says T0D212…the T1s can handle way more than the rated 800 rms without bottoming out. I run 2 in a 4 cube net box tuned at 35 on a jp23 wired at half ohm and they’re great. Given I didn’t pay anywhere near full price for the subs it was $250 with an amp and box
But as we talk, smack, let's be honest. It looks like a solid cast basket and those magnets. They've been around for centuries. It doesn't take a genius to make a speaker. And it doesn't take a genius to understand we're only going up to 250 Hz. How hard is it and when it's a week low number? That's not with fine precision. It's a simple back and fourth motor it's very silly. I like how you tear things apart. So I've never seen the magnets inside like that. It's interesting that they have it inburden. I don't like that I say go big. Let things have room so they can roar and blow down the door.
They're alright. Remember that Kole is owned by Epsilon and Epsilon also makes Power Acoustik and SPL Audio at that time. Chances are it uses the same coil as the SPLW / MOFO of that time. You can text me direct if you'd like me to build you something. 6023126504 Just let me know your name and shipping address. I'll add you to my phone and we can review your options.
Sometimes YT will foul the upload until it's bots check that I didn't say anything about their dark overlords BlackRock and Vanguard. I have to upload again with a different title.
Ya those are rms fuses the fast burn type of fuse might be a safer bet not to cook the coils but it's kinda a Grey area cause I hear fast burn fuses are best for tweeter n mid protection. Ads home theater towers from early 90s late 80s had two fast burn fuses in each tower one for soft dome mids n another for soft dome tweeters. I just had a guy with 2 of those black face t1s. He thought he blew them but it was the aluminum dust cover that was coming loose smacking around. Tore those off with ease replaced with old school kicker inverted caps. Their a nice mid level sub never worth 500plus that's for sure but they did sound nice from a tonal balance aspect. Wish I had them with my datsv3 I would have liked to seen the fs cause they sure were broke in overtly well lol.
@@RobotUnderground interesting because I had some dumb loudspeakers from circuit city about 20 yrs ago and when slamming them at night lights off the rear ports emitted light n not just a little. 6:17 those are polaris rockford subwoofer amp used on 20-22 utv rzr pro R under dash molded woofer its a
pOs that sells for $899 dollars
This on is only $100
not only can you use one coil you can power one and put a resistor or rheostat and on the other and adjust the overall q of the sub
Correct. Dan Wiggins did a whole white paper on that. Let me know if you want the link.

I would hope that Rockford would figure out how to give people more for their money by this time.

SVC > DVC Just my opinion, I cant stand when people ask me how to get specific ohm loads. SVC just keeps it simple, so simple dummies can get it.
But that’s for stoooopeds I need dual
Less moving mass = faster more accurate representation of the notes.

Does anyone know about the Kole Audio KMX-15 is it worth doing anything with? It's the huge yellow and black one
They sell/sold on sonic electronics for 150 new. ??? Hope that helps

Correct and then Samsung bought all of them
What amp do I use to run one of these
It depends on what impedance it is. What size is it and what impedance is it?

Incandescent bulbs are the best for tweeters and if you can find a big enough one, mids too.
