It has been perfect in every way except for a tailight bulb went bad (I just pop another bulb in)....It goes 40 miles on a charge & I'm still using original batteries that hold excellent charge at 2yrs., I paid $1,950 + free freight to my door - It looks awesome, turns heads & I love it !!
I have an EW 46 scooter for over 2 years. I'm the second owner, so I replaced the batteries. I love it. It worked so well for me that I purchased two Deluxe Touring scooters. One broke the bumper and it took a few weeks but they shipped me a replacement bumper and a gift for my patience. The other one broke a side mirror and they are working on that. We love our scooters. We get out on them at least once a week running around the city. I recently ran into two other people in my city with them and we both have had good experiences.
Thanx I’m paralyzed and need one real bad and insurance won’t pay for it. So I’m trying to save money for one and was looking at this and liked it but thanks to you 🙏 I won’t be looking at this one anymore.
I ALSO OWN A EZ LITE CRUISER WHEEL CHAIR. THIS IS ALL AMERICAN MADE. MY INSURANCE PAID FOR THAT, BUT IT IS ONLY GOOD AROUND OR INSIDE YOUR HOME. OR AROUND A COMPLEX. THE WHEELS ARE SOFT RUBBER AND WEAR VERY QUICKLY. IM ORIGINALLY FROM FLORIDA WHERE THEY MAKE THE HOVEROUND WHEEL CHAIR. NOW THIS IS THE CADILLAC OF ELECTRIC CHAIRS OR SCOOTERS. VERY EXPENSIVE, BUT INSURANCE TAKES CARE OF THAT. ALSO REMEMBER. MANY LARGE HOSPITALS AROUND THE COUNTRY HAVE PLENTY OF THESE HOVEROUNDS TO DONATE. I KNOW, BECAUSE I FOUND IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DONATE MINE TO A HOSPITAL BEFORE I MOVED TO HAWAII. LOOK INTO IT. JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN MIAMI.
Im in a similar situation here in the UK I ended up buying my mobillity scooter from Argos giving me 6 months to pay off which I can do . It's worth considering Good luck

I got.the ew-72 4 wheel model 3 years ago and have been extremely disappointed in it. I got it mostly because of the way it looked but I immediately knew when I started using it that it wasn't what I was expecting. The brakes bring you to an abrupt halt with no slowing down. Also there is no adjustment to speed using the handbag throttle. It's either all or noting. I basically turn the throttle and then adjust the speed master knob with my thumb to speed up or slow down. It's almost like the function of the throttle and the speed limit knob are reversed. I wish I had sent right back when I noticed all of this. Also mirrors won't tighten down properly and one of the turn signals does work now.
Don't buy from this company. I bought the EW-75, $3600.00. Piece of junk. The rear wheels lock up when the throttle let off and will either wreck or come to a skidding halt. They don't tell you in their videos of this and then when you complain, they say it is your fault for buying it. It is a $3600 useless paper weight!!

So sad, I have had 3 since 2008. No problem whatsoever. Just bought the 3rd one and this one is even smoother accelerating than my 2006. Sorry you went through this lemon.
I would never buy an E wheel product I do not feel they are safe to drive and if it needs service you will have a hard time finding some one to work on them . I am a wheel chair tech and usually turn down jobs on these. Their tech service sucks they will put you on hold and after 10 minutes tell you to leave a message because no one is available and good luck getting a call back

I'm looking for something to get my freedom back. I am diabetic, have foot amputations, other severe leg problems and can't walk 10 feet without pain and stopping. I dont want a Walmart type scooter because I want to attend family functions etc. Glad I saw this. I want a bigger one like the wrangler, or one that is bigger and more powerful for like $5,000. I had to give up driving forever. I will do my own modifications though, ham radio, antenna, etc. I have the knowledge to do that electrical stuff to eliminate everything but the drive motors, where it counts!

I completely understand your frustration and anger after purchasing this scooter. I would be upset too. $3000 is a lot of money to throw away on something that does not work for you. I applaud you for making this video to warn others before purchasing one. I also think you are very creative and handy with trying to modify your scooter. I just wish you were more articulate and specific explaining each part (without repeating yourself). It would have been nice to give a review of each item from the transaxle to the handle bars and why it’s no good.. Make a list.IE: Seat has to be removed before accessing other parts, plastic on this area breaks and zoom in with camera, the 12 volt bulbs are really 48 and are located here and they do not work because ....state reasons. I am a 62 year woman that can barely walk due to a crippling birth defect. I have walked all my life in pain but now with age comes bone on bone issues. I want to buy a scooter or wheelchair but I do not know the mechanical things to look out for. I am trying to learn what will work for me. You have given me a lot of food for thought on other scooters and what to avoid. I am compiling a pro/con list. I will not buy this scooter so this video has helped at least one person, so thank you. I bought a similar scooter (60V Comfort Scooter) and I've had nothing but shaft issues and oil leaks all over my floor. Been at the shop for repairs twice already and I've only had it for 2 months, the shaft is too small and too long for the heavy set scooter .. .RIP
I’ve had my ew 36 for 4 years and it’s awesome! Maybe the quality has changed since I bought mine? My batteries (4x 12 v 20ah) last for two years, and they are readily available on Amazon at a reasonable price. I change them myself, and I’m a 63 yr old female. I’ve had no issues with mine at all. Sorry to hear you got a lemon.
BUT there r only two makers to choose from. PRIDE and GOLDEN. They service them too. Come to your house too if needed. If machine needs repairs u pay transport fees but fixed locally.

I had an ew72 and it's been a mixed bag of tricks, it worked great for the most part but There's nothing separating the wires in the back from the wheels so I lost one of my tail lights due to the wire being chewed up by the wheel and then also the throttle quit working on me so I had to call the company and of course they don't make that throttle anymore.

I'm disabled in my 30s. I've had my EW-36 for 4 years. My charger broke after a few months and was replaced for free. The only issues I've had was a rear brake bulb go out and the seat adjustment lever bending. That was mainly my fault because I drove it through a tight doorway to store it inside for the winter. I caught the rear panel and broke off part of it. The seat lever is weak and bends easily. I bought mine from Mobility Direct for $2,400 in 2019. I transport it in a hitch mount carrier from Harbor Freight for $200 dollars. I use ratchet straps to hold it in place while driving. I'll cover it with a tarp while we're on vacation to protect it from rain while transporting it. I also use a heavy bicycle lock to lock it to the carrier so I can store it on my SUV while we're on vacation.
I have one rear brake bulb burnt out and I can't find and lost my only key last weekend can't find any where .I do use I t a lot and I enjoy riding it w is it was a Harley I like what your saying I'm gonna do the same and put American modifications take the junk off and replace with made in the USA maybe lower the back and ape hanger handlebars God! I like your videos. I got an ewheels ew-72 last November. So far so good but I have had turn signal problems. Plus lead acid batteries instead of lithium is plain stupid.
The motor stops when you squeeze the brake lever!!! Did you tighten too much? Did you ride with your hand on the brake? Maybe operator error and not faulty scooter. Mine works flawlessly! Don’t destroy it!!

Yeah I had one ran perfectly and trouble free for about a year but my major mistake was when the Batteries were low I plugged it in overnight and it was overcharged by morning and the batteries were shot!!!! If you own one of these ? Make sure you have a 4-6-8 hr timer that you’re charger is plugged into!!! The charger will not disconnect once the batteries are fully charged!! They wanted to charge me $550 to replace the batteries!! Do not overcharge the Batteries..!!
Also ex Vet but UK, and 77yr old, same trouble, lamps out £95 call out for at £1 lamp, Now batteries at £200, I live on basic pension no vet pension etc Stick at it mate
Mobility Direct stopped selling EWheels mobility scooters and actually blew one up to demonstrate their feelings. I have used a Pride Go Go Elite Traveler for some 10 years. Only had to have electric brake unit replaced and replaced batteries as needed. I highly recommend Pride brand. Beware lots of "zooty" new Chinese mobility scooters, warranty fixes and long term parts and repair services may not be available when needed, parts may become "discontinued" quickly. Beware "one-piece" auto-folding scooters, too heavy to put into/take out of car trunk. Mobility scooters are being converted to lighter, longer range, lithium batteries.

i transport mine easily...just go online and order a scoota trailer..the trailer fits any vehicle that has a hitch ....watch the video online....SCOOTA TRAILER
I had the same problem, There is safety switches on each hand break, if you have one depressed the motor will not run, my had a sticky switch, it took 15 min to fix. SORRY BUT YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.

My grandfather bought one 6 years ago drove it twice lost the key and the battery is dead got to buy an ingnition and a battery for 400 i think I'm gonna have to replace the Ignition myself wee•_•

Had mine for four years and still runs strong.Problem is the plastic used in the body breaks like an eggshell! When it arrived the speedometer was cracked. E-Wheels did send me a replacement. Not long after I found the how easily the body breaks. Mine now looks like it was in a demolition derby! So I never bothered to replace the broken part. DO NOT BUY THIS SCOOTER! IF THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS DON'T GET YOU THE "EGGSHELL" BODY WILL. As for lighting, a 12v bulb will work with the proper resistor is placed in the wire going directly to the bulb. Rotsaruck

I watched a couple of reviews on youtube about this scooter a fast 18 mph scooter which in my opinion is too fast for a mobillity scooter The rest of the reviews were OK You say you paid $3000 for this That is a lot I have one and only paid £740 brand new which is about $102.0 , 4 wheels top speed of 6 MPH which is fine considering Im disabled It is a Drive DeVilbiss a brand recommended by motabillity UK. 3 wheels does not give you good stabillity and you could easily topple over taking a corner .Well good luck scrapping it .It seems to me you have more money than sense but I could be wrong

This is an honest review. I sell this scooter on my website MobilityDirect.com and what most people do not realize is this is a recreational scooter that is marketed as a Mobility Scooter. You do not get a service warranty with this scooter that means you can only get part replacements and you will have to install them yourself or pay for it. Ewheels is a very busy distributor lately and it has been hard to get parts as well. Make sure you choose a reputable dealer to buy your Ewheels scooter from that way you are not left alone with your service requests.

It has been perfect in every way except for a tailight bulb went bad (I just pop another bulb in)....It goes 40 miles on a charge & I'm still using original batteries that hold excellent charge at 2yrs., I paid $1,950 + free freight to my door - It looks awesome, turns heads & I love it !!

I have an EW 46 scooter for over 2 years. I'm the second owner, so I replaced the batteries. I love it. It worked so well for me that I purchased two Deluxe Touring scooters. One broke the bumper and it took a few weeks but they shipped me a replacement bumper and a gift for my patience. The other one broke a side mirror and they are working on that. We love our scooters. We get out on them at least once a week running around the city. I recently ran into two other people in my city with them and we both have had good experiences.

VERY EXPENSIVE, BUT INSURANCE TAKES CARE OF THAT. ALSO REMEMBER. MANY LARGE HOSPITALS AROUND THE COUNTRY HAVE PLENTY OF THESE HOVEROUNDS TO DONATE. I got.the ew-72 4 wheel model 3 years ago and have been extremely disappointed in it. I got it mostly because of the way it looked but I immediately knew when I started using it that it wasn't what I was expecting. The brakes bring you to an abrupt halt with no slowing down. Also there is no adjustment to speed using the handbag throttle. It's either all or noting. I basically turn the throttle and then adjust the speed master knob with my thumb to speed up or slow down. It's almost like the function of the throttle and the speed limit knob are reversed. I wish I had sent right back when I noticed all of this. Also mirrors won't tighten down properly and one of the turn signals does work now.
Don't buy from this company. I bought the EW-75, $3600.00. Piece of junk. The rear wheels lock up when the throttle let off and will either wreck or come to a skidding halt. They don't tell you in their videos of this and then when you complain, they say it is your fault for buying it. It is a $3600 useless paper weight!!

mine is a 2019 ew-36..runs great..changed the batteries for under 250.00..i bought a scoota trailer to haul it behind my ford escape on vacations..
I would never buy an E wheel product I do not feel they are safe to drive and if it needs service you will have a hard time finding some one to work on them . I am a wheel chair tech and usually turn down jobs on these. Their tech service sucks they will put you on hold and after 10 minutes tell you to leave a message because no one is available and good luck getting a call back
Check the welding. That's where I had problems. My transaxle separated from the swing arm. It's basically a piece of crap.

I'm looking for something to get my freedom back. I am diabetic, have foot amputations, other severe leg problems and can't walk 10 feet without pain and stopping. I dont want a Walmart type scooter because I want to attend family functions etc. Glad I saw this. I want a bigger one like the wrangler, or one that is bigger and more powerful for like $5,000. I had to give up driving forever. I will do my own modifications though, ham radio, antenna, etc. I have the knowledge to do that electrical stuff to eliminate everything but the drive motors, where it counts!

I completely understand your frustration and anger after purchasing this scooter. I would be upset too. $3000 is a lot of money to throw away on something that does not work for you. I applaud you for making this video to warn others before purchasing one. I also think you are very creative and handy with trying to modify your scooter. I just wish you were more articulate and specific explaining each part (without repeating yourself). It would have been nice to give a review of each item from the transaxle to the handle bars and why it’s no good.. Make a list.IE: Seat has to be removed before accessing other parts, plastic on this area breaks and zoom in with camera, the 12 volt bulbs are really 48 and are located here and they do not work because ....state reasons. I am a 62 year woman that can barely walk due to a crippling birth defect. I have walked all my life in pain but now with age comes bone on bone issues. I want to buy a scooter or wheelchair but I do not know the mechanical things to look out for. I am trying to learn what will work for me. You have given me a lot of food for thought on other scooters and what to avoid. I am compiling a pro/con list. I will not buy this scooter so this video has helped at least one person, so thank you. I bought a similar scooter (60V Comfort Scooter) and I've had nothing but shaft issues and oil leaks all over my floor. Been at the shop for repairs twice already and I've only had it for 2 months, the shaft is too small and too long for the heavy set scooter .. .RIP
I’ve had my ew 36 for 4 years and it’s awesome! Maybe the quality has changed since I bought mine? My batteries (4x 12 v 20ah) last for two years, and they are readily available on Amazon at a reasonable price. I change them myself, and I’m a 63 yr old female. I’ve had no issues with mine at all. Sorry to hear you got a lemon.

I had an ew72 and it's been a mixed bag of tricks, it worked great for the most part but There's nothing separating the wires in the back from the wheels so I lost one of my tail lights due to the wire being chewed up by the wheel and then also the throttle quit working on me so I had to call the company and of course they don't make that throttle anymore.

I'm disabled in my 30s. I've had my EW-36 for 4 years. My charger broke after a few months and was replaced for free. The only issues I've had was a rear brake bulb go out and the seat adjustment lever bending. That was mainly my fault because I drove it through a tight doorway to store it inside for the winter. I caught the rear panel and broke off part of it. The seat lever is weak and bends easily. I bought mine from Mobility Direct for $2,400 in 2019. I transport it in a hitch mount carrier from Harbor Freight for $200 dollars. I use ratchet straps to hold it in place while driving. I'll cover it with a tarp while we're on vacation to protect it from rain while transporting it. I also use a heavy bicycle lock to lock it to the carrier so I can store it on my SUV while we're on vacation.
I have one rear brake bulb burnt out and I can't find and lost my only key last weekend can't find any where .I do use I t a lot and I enjoy riding it w is it was a Harley I like what your saying I'm gonna do the same and put American modifications take the junk off and replace with made in the USA maybe lower the back and ape hanger handlebars God! I bought my scooters from local mobility scooters and from health care [that sells osteomy supplies stair lifts chair lifts . BUT
Yeah I had one ran perfectly and trouble free for about a year but my major mistake was when the Batteries were low I plugged it in overnight and it was overcharged by morning and the batteries were shot!!!! If you own one of these ? Make sure you have a 4-6-8 hr timer that you’re charger is plugged into!!! The charger will not disconnect once the batteries are fully charged!! They wanted to charge me $550 to replace the batteries!! Do not overcharge the Batteries..!!

Mobility Direct stopped selling EWheels mobility scooters and actually blew one up to demonstrate their feelings. I have used a Pride Go Go Elite Traveler for some 10 years. Only had to have electric brake unit replaced and replaced batteries as needed. I highly recommend Pride brand. Beware lots of "zooty" new Chinese mobility scooters, warranty fixes and long term parts and repair services may not be available when needed, parts may become "discontinued" quickly. Beware "one-piece" auto-folding scooters, too heavy to put into/take out of car trunk. Mobility scooters are being converted to lighter, longer range, lithium batteries.

Had mine for four years and still runs strong.Problem is the plastic used in the body breaks like an eggshell!
When it arrived the speedometer was cracked. E-Wheels did send me a replacement. Not long after I found the how easily the body breaks. Mine now looks like it was in a demolition derby! So I never bothered to replace the broken part. DO NOT BUY THIS SCOOTER! IF THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS DON'T GET YOU THE "EGGSHELL" BODY WILL. I watched a couple of reviews on youtube about this scooter a fast 18 mph scooter which in my opinion is too fast for a mobillity scooter The rest of the reviews were OK You say you paid $3000 for this That is a lot I have one and only paid £740 brand new which is about $102.0 , 4 wheels top speed of 6 MPH which is fine considering Im disabled It is a Drive DeVilbiss a brand recommended by motabillity UK. 3 wheels does not give you good stabillity and you could easily topple over taking a corner .Well good luck scrapping it .It seems to me you have more money than sense but I could be wrong

IT IS THE LITTLE CONTROL KNOB NEXT TO THE THROTTLE. #5. YOUR RIGHT BRAKE. DO YOU SEE THE LITTLE LIGHT SWITCH UNDERNEATH? THIS DISINGAGES THE MOTOR. UNPLUG THAT, PERIOD. YOUR SPEED AND STALL PROBLEMS MIGHT BE SOLVED BY THESE ACTIONS. REMEMBER ONE THING: ALL SPEED CONTROL IS MONITORED AND AJUSTED BY THAT CONTROLLER. (THAT COMPUTER BOX IN THE BACK) THERE IS ONE OTHER ACTION YOU CAN DO LATER. YOUR SCOOTER MAY HAVE THAT ELECTRIC BRAKE ASSIST WHEN YOU LET GO OF THE THROTTLE, THE MOTOR BRAKES YOU. I really don't understand this guy's rant. What about a warranty? I am not sure what he is angry about exactly but he would make a good salesman for other scooters. I had to shut him off about half way as I am only allowed to hear the word junk 46 times a day and he exceeded my limit.

This is an honest review. I sell this scooter on my website MobilityDirect.com and what most people do not realize is this is a recreational scooter that is marketed as a Mobility Scooter. You do not get a service warranty with this scooter that means you can only get part replacements and you will have to install them yourself or pay for it. Ewheels is a very busy distributor lately and it has been hard to get parts as well. Make sure you choose a reputable dealer to buy your Ewheels scooter from that way you are not left alone with your service requests.
YES, I UNDERSTAND ALL THAT, THAT IS FINE. BUT E-WHEELS I A SHAWDY COMPANY, PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK. WE ONE DAY, WILL FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AND END THAT COMPANY WITH A CEASE AND DESIST ORDER.
