I think Trigger and Kyoto are top tier for me. The character design from Trigger is S-Tier, and Kyoto has consistently beautiful animation.

to put it very simply, the artist in Kyoani are threated like human beings and not anime-making machines :| (not sure about Trigger but I kind of feel they have a similar phylosophy)

I swear White Fox really cares about the quality of their adaptations so much. You barely see the opening and ending in re:zero season 2 cause they always skip it to make way for the story. Also, their decision of insert songs being sung by the actual characters and played during crucial story parts is so good
White Fox really went all out for Re: Zero, those 30 minute episodes were great!
White fox animated rezero s2 in pandemic while the workers being at home but it turns out so good nobody noticed aside from upto date people
really i thought season 2 art was kinda ugly, respect the music and what they did with eds and ops but seeing it come out in 2021 when the art was argubly better 8 or whatever years ago, an overall decline in music(not terrible though) and a genreal fuck up for more of the source content than season 1.
@@kazuchad2948 Yeah I get that, pandemic probably fricked alot of stuff up. Trailers made it seem like they were gonna go all out with production, but then covid suddenly appeared and they had to delay the parts by a season or two. They probably would've popped tf off if it werent for certain events. Sad.
@@heato8870 yeh completely agree looking at the source material makes it worse Roswaal was supposed to be like shooting six different spells at the same time using martial arts like kicking and stuff but it got altered to just a mage guy who shoots fire.
Studio Pierrot popped off in dozens of important fight scenes, too bad they take on mostly long running shows which gives their production a somewhat low tier look but the key fights in Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul, Black Clover and Boruto were top tier.

They only good at animating fights, they completely ruined Tokyo Ghoul.

Yeah, sunrise is the best, this is based on the animation, types of work, importance to details and give to every anime their own style and soul. They made not just love live and cowboy bebop, they also made Gintama (if you see the whole anime youre gonna know that they REALLY loved that anime), code geass and Gundam.

I'd put bones in S tier if we're going off the quality of their adaptation and not the quality of the stories they pick up. Bones, ufotable, Kyoto, and trigger are the only ones I'd put in S.

Even if Madhouse isn't as great as it used to be, I'd still consider them S tier since they've been shaping the medium and consistently producing bangers since the 70s. They've been top of their game for decades and even after their near bankruptcy early 2010s they still occasionally make hits like OPM, Death Parade and Sonny Boy.
From Osamu Dezaki, to Satoshi Kon, to Takeshi Koike, they've already achieved GOAT status for letting so many influential creators thrive.

Frieren is the latest anime produced by Animation Producer Yuichiro Fukushi put out every 2ish years, which is one of the main reasons it looks so consistently great. OPM (2015), Acca 13 (2017), Boogiepop and Others (2019), Sonny Boy (2021) are the other ones. I love Sonny Boy and OPM as well so I'm not surprised. Haven't finished the others tho
I loved the comments about Whitefox! ReZero has become one of my favourite shows and for the second season they made every episode longer than the standard format and didn’t use ops and endings to really squeeze every ounce of content into the episodes

I dont think Pierrot is absolutely awful but the way they made almost half of Bleach filler, made the animation of Black clover really weak in some areas and everything they did with Tokyo ghoul after season 1 speaks for itself. But they've done some really good stuff as well
@@etonlau8243 yeah mostly due to them usually going for long running shows which really stretches the budget but when needed they absolutely nailed the fights.
@@etonlau8243 the filler isn't really their fault, pierrot actually did a really good job with Bleach's animation for the most part, especially the fullbringer arc and the latter half of the aizen assault arc
Mappa are far from goats. They don't have any work that compares with the studios you listed.

Over this whole year, Cloverworks has been popping off with Spy x Family, My Dress Up Darling and Bocchi the Rock!.
They've gotta be at least sitting in the A range if not B tier, if he were to redo the list.

Idk why people hate Fairy Tail and JoJo, they will always have a special place in my heart..
I only hate fairy tail season 3. Don't have problems with the story, as allways it doesnt have much plot holes atleast. But my problem is with the animation in season 3. Which was done by clover works and bridge if Im not mistaken

kyoani is so epic that the single frame of violet jumping on water immediately gave me goosebumps
ufotable could expand their resume a bit, but when it comes to action scenes, is pure eye sex. No amount of impact frames can compare to 1st class 3d effect work

I like this guy ranks them, so here's my rankings:
Sunrise is A-tier soley because Code Geass is in my top 5 favorite animes and Inuyasha is a hard nostalgic trip!
Ufotable is S-tier because I adore of well they blend 3D with 2D. Demon Slayer I originally thought was their best, but I recently watched Fate/Zero and now that's taken the crown by a landslide.
A1 Pictures is B-tier, they're most popular shows aren't great but their other ones are pretty nice. My favorite is 7DS, in which they made the good seasons.
Bones is A-tier for reaply good work, and my favorite is the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise since that was my first anime.
I'd give WiT studio an A-tier soley based on the first 3 seasons of AoT, but it's the only one I've seen from them so I don't think that's fair.
White Fox is usually S-tier for what they do, but I have to knock off points for the atrocious anime adaptation of Akame ga Kill! *The manga was so much better*
David Productions is B-tier, I may despise the Jojo fanbase but the anime is actually pretty well done, and they did the anime with Break-Dancing on fire!
Mappa is pretty good with their current line-up shows, but the CGI can sometimes get real ugly *Looking at you Armoured Titan*, but otherwise A-tier.
Pierrot is C-tier mainly because they do not know the concept of seasonal anime, but some the fight scenes are just clean.
Madhouse is badass with their string of shows, especially Black Lagoon and Hellsing Ultimate which Damain forgot to mention, so definitely A-tier!
And lastly, Trigger/Gainax are bias tier because Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill are my goated animes!
You need to watch Kara no kyoukai especially movie 5 and 7 since for many people that is Ufotable's best ever work

Yeah agreed. I am not a fan of CG in S4 of attack on titan. The transition from 90% of Shifter titans being traditionally hand drawn to full on CG is a huge stepdown imo.
It's not the fault of staff working on it giving their all under the time constraints barely having any star 2D animators.
It's the fault of both production committee and Mappa higher ups who took the contract.
But you gotta think S4 is so much more titan fighting they wouldn't have the budget to hand draw them all wit or mappa it would have been cgi
Mappa was going to ask one more year to animate s4 from Pony Canyon but they refused it.

It's the fault of Mappa who took the project reason why we are getting half baked product. No one here is blaming the staff who are getting overworked night and day to put this out.
If mappa hadn't took the contract purely for greed the season could have been made later on with a better schedule with higher chances of WIT returning or just any other better studio or mappa itself with better schedule and artists at hand.
Whatever the case the fact remains that S4 so far has been pretty rough. There's no defending the overwork and quality of the season.

Wit was the one who dropped Attack On Titan and it was planned since the start of season 3, so I don't really think it's from the scheduling issues, they were suffering financially and Attack on titan wasn't helping them, so I doubt that they will continue with Attack on Titan with better time lines.
Having said that MAPPA is greedy and obviously cares about money, but if MAPPA hadn't accept the show, and WIT refused to continue on it, then we wouldn't have gotten a season 4, maybe in 2023 once they find a free "not greedy" studio that wants to Animate it, from business perspective the more delays on this project the more fans will switch to Manga and Total revenue will decrees from Anime.
I mean it's clearly the fans request to not delay this project, the majority of fans don't want an Attack on titan movie or season 4 part 3, because they don't wanna wait, the quality in part 2 obviously improved than part 1, but all of this because MAPPA animators getting over worked, things are complicated.
As a top priority they must have healthy working environment, if this require more delay for the show I am fine with it, fans will get used to these delays eventually, maybe producing high quality animation will bring back the fans who switched to Manga.
An other option is MAPPA should stop taking too many shows at once, they can focus more in their projects without being greedy, they new strategy is quantity over quality.
I think CG is way more expensive than 2D animation. And i don't know why would MAPPA waste money on CG if it wasn't because of time. I believe MAPPA could deliver a 2D animation as great as WIT, they just lack the time
I just wanna say that AoT: Junior High is really fucking underrated and is unironically a really good show and a lot of it actually has some foreshadowing to the real show if you look closer, so in conclusion Damian fucking watch the series i promise you'll like it

Science Saru for me is S tier. Similar to Shaft no one does it quite like them. I would have also loved for you to talk about even more studios like P.A. Works, 4°C, Manglobe, Ponoc, Gonzo, OLM, Kinema Citrus, Artland, khara,.TMS entertainment,.Chizu, CoMix Wave Films etc.

Banger video as always man, only thing I really disagree on this list is Pierrot being D, should be C because even though they do make some bad scenes/iffy animation sometimes, they can do better if they weren't doing weekly shows and rushing some of the animation.

Animation studio do not organized the song or BACK GROUND OST. They are made in music studio. which are different from animation studio.
After complete the music they use the music with a COPYRIGHT BASIS
And also the animation studio are not giving money to the ost maker and op songs. the commite or producer or may be distributer giving money to them. But the sound effect is made by studio. SOUND EFFECT MEANS when sword vs sword and explosion sounds.

Toei deserves b at most. They're obviously very influential but the fact that they managed to fuck up one piece so badly is a severe crime in it of itself
Honestly the one piece thing trust me i read the manga its pretty mid adapted because if they adapted it fast we would literally have to wait like 4 weeks for each episode if they used like 4 chapters per ep but i do agree they adapted it a pretty badly even with not trying to not lose grip of chapters

I’m kinda disappointed cuz P.A Work is not on the list. They have a quite a few bangers as well. Maybe they only have 1-2 anime a year but the art quality is top tier. Same year as Violet Evergarden (2018) but the art quality of Iroduku is no joke. They’re specialized in drawing background, color theory, lighting. The character’s motion is their weakness I would say.
