Amazing ! 10 years ago I remember finding orchestral string runs 1. I was so impressed I contacted Hendrik and created a deal for the filmscoring students at Berklee. Very happy to see that the link has been kept and the the relation blossomed into a Berklee library ! Congrats
Please make this available in Kontakt, the SINE player always crashed in my potato laptop :(
Maybe you need more ram?
@@FocusMrbjarke I have 96GB and an i9 and it still crashes. Player isn't very good is the truth, needs way more work but they seem to be more concerned churning out libraries.
Also having issues (Mac Pro). Not major crashes, but there is always something (1 update it's mic volumes that change without me doing anything, another update and I get stuck on loading my templates at times, etc)
Started working with SINE from launch and force myself to get used to it, but still hate it after all this time. No upsides whatsoever, for me personally.
Not a single library/instrument performs, plays or sounds better. Merging mics is the only thing what I consider to be a plus (but personally don't even need that).
Slowly started to think more and more about transitioning away from OT because of SINE. Just like Eastwest, they will likely never go back to Kontakt.
@@vaiman7777 You should try it now! I only have 24GB and an old i7 and I've never had it crash with FL Studio :)
@@MamaSymphonia Thanks, but I deleted all OT stuff ages ago. I use VSL mostly now.
Seriously awesome tones... excellent demo !
Indeed, an excellent Demo but.... How do they create and mix something like that? I have this library, but I have not yet managed to mix something like this.
I would be curious to have a look on how this piece has been mixed...
This sounds extremely good. I myself also own this library, but have not yet managed to create something like this. It would be nice if a MIDI file were available with an example like this. We could then work towards that in the learning process and get to know and control the Player and samples better. Also, how it is mixed.
Wonderful!
Hi, are there any templates available for Logic Pro X that would load all these instruments and articulations?
high Eb and F in horns ensemble? God have mercy! =))
How does RAM management works. Does it do look ahead load or purge? How come the string midi notes have overlap in your demo? Does it have built-in delay loading samples or attack is set with higher time for the beginning of the notes starting from silence? There needs to be some sort of intelligence in look ahead engine (if such think is implemented) to adjust the attack / release based on the previous and next note position and duration. My reference is Note Performer.
Hi! Does anyone bought this library? What is your loyalty discout for Berlin Strings now?
you forgot to mention you can interchangeably toggle between vibrato and no vibrato notes mid performance!
How much is saved on the upgrade to Berlin series?
Our support team (support@orchestraltools.com) will be more than happy to advise on this!
Only one microphone setup?Seriously?.
This is a stripped-down version of the Berlin Orchestra. This product doesn't exist just so you can buy the Berlin Orchestra cheaper. It's an educational tool for writing with the basic articulations. If you need more microphone positions then buy the Berlin Orchestra. Is this product's purpose so hard to grasp for you?
@@kateesellner7167 you will be shocked if i tell you how many vsts i own,not cracked, paid.Metropolis ark bundle is just an example...
Someone knows if this library works on windows 11?
Our support team (support@orchestraltools.com) will be more than happy to advise on this.
@@Orchestral-Tools thanks
How much RAM do I need to run all the instruments and articulations from this wonderful library simultaneously, without track freezing?
I know I am not them, but typically I run 30-50 tracks with various Metropolis Ark Series, Berlin Inspire Orchestra 1 & 2, and JXL Brass instruments. So far, the JXL Brass, with all articulations loaded, takes up the most RAM in an instance, with the French Horn coming in at around 1.2 GB! With all of this in mind, my RAM does get to 90-95% and I have 8 GB RAM.
One thing is for certain: You can never have enough RAM!
@@RepentInReprise JXL Brass is not part of the Berlin Orchestra: Created with Berklee library, so I'm not sure what are those 30-50 tracks in your projects and how it relates to my original question.
Do you mean that loading all the instruments from Berklee, plus some JXL Brass will not fill 8GB RAM? Hard to believe. Even harder to believe that JXL Brass French Horn only takes 1.2 MB (I would assume rather 1.2 GB instead).
@@MeWreck Check my edited comment and we can call it even. I tried to offer some insight by providing my experience with OT's libraries, but oh well 🤷♂
For example, when using EastWest's libraries, my RAM gets maxed out in just running a couple of instances of their Hollywood Orchestra Strings!
But OT, in my experience, the Brass (not just JXL) has had the biggest impact on my RAM usage. Strings, Woodwinds, Percussion, etc. are relatively low usage.
The more the better
