Amps sounds nice but man is that guitar playing spastic. Definitely would have chosen someone to play guitar who is not obsessed with weird whammy bar hits.
Some Alarming info....I talked to someone at Bad Cat, and apparently the Cougars are actually not a Bad Cat USA product, hence them not even being listed on the Bad Cat site. Apparently the old owners of Bad Cat had a licensing agreement with Hanzer Musical Group, the company that makes Kustom amps, to use the Bad Cat name for this import series. I'm not sure whether the Bad Cat people had any input or design involvement with the amps themselves
it looks to me like a Bane Capital deal.... they did the same thing with OCDP drums. They bought a piece of the company, and had them outsource the construction, then sold them exclusive at bane retailers.... Guitar Center, Musicians Friend, Music123, and Woodwind
Gotta love how after some horrible playing on the clean channel when the camera pans back to Hammond all he can say is "Nice, it's twangy" I've demoed this amp, it's actually pretty cool. Definitely high gain unless you have some low output single coils or good rolloff on your Hum guitar. FWIW a US Hot Cat 15 was right next to it and I liked the Cougar's gain much, better. I find the high gain on the USA BadCats's not all that useable. Granted I have only tried a Hot Cat 15 and a Hot Cat 30.
I played a Panther and it was one of the most magical amps I have ever played. This thing is the total opposite of that. I don't know what happened but they took some of the best amps made and turned them into this....I'm pretty sure the "angry can of bees" setting on a POD sounds better than this.
Bad cat cougar avalable now on THAILAND. it's don't have footswitch. You must buy it later or diy. so I tested 5w it's butic amp,50w has 2 chanel soud difference by MID BOOT switch
More alarming info...I e-mailed Bad Cat asking if it was possible to rewire the european version to american voltage without rewinding the power transformer and look what I get: "Hi Eric, The Cougar series has nothing to do with Bad Cat USA. Please contact the manufacturer of the amp Hanzer. Thank you, Brian Kushner Bad Cat Holdings LLC" so they outsource a new model with their name on it and they have nothing to do with it?
I think there is something wrong with that guitar. I'm not going to do what everyone does on Premier Guitar's great videos and rip on the player, I'm going to rip on the guitar. xD No, seriously, I think that bridge is too loose and is vibrating every time the guitarist strikes the strings a little harder than he probably should for that type of floating bridge. I'm glad Bad Cat are stepping further out of their over-priced range.
Whats going on here? Thats not a Badcat. & I dont think its endorsed by Badcat. is this the epiphone of Badcat, theres no mention of it on Badcat website. plus it sound slike a peice of junk to my Badcat.
$800 for an Made in China or where ever is very overpriced. At least a Marshall Cab is made in the UK, Orange is made in the UK or the USA plant on their cabs. Plus they need to take that guitar away from that guy and teach him how to play.

@angrygoldfish I kind like the sound of if vibratoing every time he hits a string hard ^_^
whats with all the black veil brides stuff?

10 seconds of that guys playing was enough for me... ugggg.

Did he really just say the wrong website? lol
droolworthy
That guitar(ist) sounds awful on clean channel.
How i in the hole world, can anyone make a amp sound so bad??? If it was I, who should sale these things, I would not showe this video to anýone!!
the picture of black veil brides put me right off any Bad Cat product ever
They said these were made for the average Joe to afford and the guy playing is named Joe🤔
Definitely not garbage just cause it is from china. I Own the cougar 50 head and it kicks ass
Never open up a demo with a Night Ranger lick
They payed him to demo this ? Wow, hard to tell if he is out of tune or just HAS to bend every note. Sucked. Certainly not bad cat USA tone.
In spite of your unbelievably irritating playing, I still want one.
Very poor choice of guitarist to demo these amps.

Wrong guitarist :( uffffffffff its sounds so..... No thanks
They need a different guitar player to demo the product. That was some awful playing.
With all the effects it sounds like they trying to hide something...hmm...It's a no buy for me!

Yes, you can wiggle your tremolo. No, we don't want to hear it on every. single. note.
Если ты четкий пацан, то ты компрессор-то на клин не ложи!
แสบดากมาก!!!!!
PCB I'll PASS
why did they pick this awful player? I like how they edit the video to cut out when they are talking about the construction... ...
I think these amps sound bad period.
