- It's been almost 10 months since I moved to London as an international student from India. So, here's my one of the living alone diaries where I am taking you throughout my day. My typical day includes work and study from home but some days I had to travel to central london to attend in person meeting.
Apart from this, I explore cafes and usually try food around london while explore different places. This time, after completing my work, I decided to make a visit to British Library as it's one of the tourist attraction and very famous in London. After that, I tried Tik-tok famous Boolay crepe and also did little grocery shooping before moving back to home.

I honestly haven't seen anyone without an iPhone (as an indian) after moving for abroad studies in the UK.

Honestly, I was presented with loads of opportunities to choose from within the university while studying full time...
All these were paid roles, so yes, I was earning enough to sustain well in London.. Apart from this, I am still completing my last semester with the final dissertation. So, hopefully I get good full time job opportunities after that too....

i knew that you live with roommates.. how does that work? You all in a big house or apartment? If you do.. do you share the rooms itself or just the house or apartment and everyone has his own room?
Is it safe in the first years to leave an expensive device in the room.. an Xbox for example and I need to know what does sleeping rooms containe? Does it have a kettle, tv things like that or all people in the same place share those things?
About working.. what are some half time works that I can do to earn some money?

You get al types of accomodations as you need- For eg, Box room, Single room(Shared bathroom and shared kitchen), Ensuite(Private bathroom, shared kitchen), Studio apartment, Double room or go with twin sharing.
If you are student, go and check the University dorms or the Amberstudents.com or University Living.com for student accomodation. Here you can get all types of accomodation as per your need. Most of the expensive accomodation do provide kettle, fridge etc... But you need to get your own utensils.
At last, London is known for stealing... :D So highly dont recommend to trust anyone at the first go. Make sure you keep your important documents, expensive devices secured. Laptop and Mobile are the two most stolen things.

I didn't get any scholorship. But yes, you can check for scholarships. Every uni has different types of scholarships according to courses you choose.

Probably yes, Once you complete the 12 grade in India, you can directly apply for bachelors to study in the field of your choice.

I would recommend to choose the exact position you want to be prepared for to get in Meta. Look at the requirement, talk with people working there and see if you are actually in need of doing MSc in Marketing to get in Meta or not?

Scholarships are mostly dependent on the university you choose and their requirements also vary accordingly. Would recommend you to have a look in the uni you want to study!

I had something to ask. Is it hard to make American/uk guy-friends or female-friends? Because, i see most of the indians with indian people and friends instead if American/european. And also, what about the racism? It’s too much there or it’s normal? Im actually so curious about it. I really want to study abroad in us or uk but i’m afraid if I’ll be lonely.. are they friendly?
This scenario totaly depends on your personal experience. Hence, I would say... I was fortunate to get connect with frnds from all over the world while studying at University of Westminster. Yes, racism exists where culture differs but not all people are rude. It's just you have to keep your vibe positive and everything positive will come to you

Now kinda with roommate. But I am really looking forward to get my own place... may be small... But you know what??? London is too expensive to live alone especially when you don't have constant income. So yeah in terms of living alone it is difficult... But it's worth experiencing!

I work at in my University Campus such as Media & Community Enagagement Intern, Research Intern, Student Ambassador and more. @@talatansari3701 For us, everything is given on University Portal on how to apply for the same. So yeah! Also, not to forget, in London most of people are active on emails so they would definately prefer you to apply suitable jobs online through website, linkedin or more.

How much distance you have to travel daily
Counting to and fro to central london it takes around 1.5-2 hours daily. Do note that I live in Zone 5. It varies if you live near or in central london.
