love that while you're giving people an "easy way to make fire" you still do a great job of giving people the essential animation theory for what really sells a fire animation as fire. Great vid as always!
This is so much better than everything else I found a day ago when I was desperately searching for way to quickly animate fire for a project :D I will use these tips next time for sure! Also the small note on the curves following the path of the flame in frame by frame really helped me wrap my head around how to approach animating this frame by frame
Thanks a lot! Yesterday I re-watched one second of your old introsequence a hundret times to figure out how you did the fire in it. And today you drop this awesome tutorial. Thank you! :)
CC Wide Time 🤯Finally, thank you! I have been looking this in AE since I have started doing more cel animation and moving away from motion graphics. It would be amazing if AE did have a good onion skinning system though 🤔 great tutorial!
Great AE stuff as always, learn so much from you're experimentation and wonderful explanations. This music is so fun!! Is it also one of your creations? I know you've said you've been experimenting more with sound stuff the last year or so
Can you please make a video on some alternatives for AE and tutorials in it, as am not rich enough to afford it😢(student) but interested in learning motion graphics.
Hey, thanks! But can you please tell me one thing? When I create an ellipse shape layer and use keyframes in After Effects, and then duplicate it after the Bezier, I don't see my duplicate ellipse keyframe. Even if I use the "U" shortcut.
Hi ben i have request of you. Im from iran and we don't have access to credit card and.... . so we can't register at your master motion design course. My question is how did you jump into your microscope at your project about master...... I'll be thankful if you answer.
This sparks method absolutely useless in real projects. Better and easier way is to create sparks shape and keyframe its position and scale. With pen tool adjust position path and also align rotation to the path so you won't need to mess around with all this keyframes. DONE. You can copy this layer billion times and only thing you need to adjust is position path
Hi Ben! First of all, thank you for your content! I was wondering if you could please help me out by creating a tutorial or giving me some tips on how to achieve the "old paper texture ink bleed" effect from the Diablo 3 cinematic intro. I've been trying to figure it out but haven't had much luck so far. Thanks in advance! this is an example: ruclips.net/video/Cb7QJwQ58T0/видео.html

Yes! this! the little flames going up and dissapearing really sell it!
Wow I have never thought to use Wide Time as an onion skinning tool, that is a game changer!
i swear
Dude! I thought he was going to use some Echo effect, when I saw the Wide Time results im like... "This MF...."
I literally broke into applause at that part. Genius
I love ALL your content Ben. You are the GOAT of Mograph.

Awesome time to upgrade from wave warp. Also the spread out keyframes proportionally tip is awesome
Wave warp, more like..... Time warp... back to the past because wave warp is old news! The era of wiggle paths has begun.
