VGM soundtracks continue to inspire me and influence me, but aside from the amazing Lisa The Painful series of games, and Undertale, it's been quite a few years since I played any game.
Good stuff. The only thing that left me a little unsettled was just how long it took to get to the vocals, but that's more a matter of personal preference than anything wrong. Great job on this one!

Oh, it definitely was too low and uncomfortable and I sooo would have appreciated having someone else sing! For context: This was a time-sensitive school project during my Masters degree. We had a single two hour recording session to get all the musicians tracked and we ran out of time for vocals in the studio, so I had to rush to do both parts myself at home. Sometimes you just gotta do the best with what you got and publish it anyway. I really do appreciate your kind words and I am going to choose to believe your critique was meant to be helpful. I know many people who get frustrated receiving critique on a video they can't change, though. Especially when it is several years old and they have likely grown as an artist since then. Musicians are often hyper aware of their shortcomings and are already extremely critical of themselves. Of course you are free to write whatever you want on someone else's video, but I hope this helps you understand how your critiques may be received.

Practice makes perfect, anyhow. I think it would do you well to practice singing lower once in a while, just to get a better feel for it. And you’re well on your way already! Lower pitches are easier to do when you feel it in your chest rather than your throat...I hope that helps? Like I said, you’ve made a fan of me. I look forward to more music from you!
