I went through six full years of suffering through every spark plug change on my LXV 150. Now that I have a new GTS, I searched out this video because of the little plastic bracket. Lo and behold, the pliers! They’ve been sitting in my toolbox crying out for me to use them! Thanks, Robot! You’re the best!
This is a tough job on a 300 super and is even closer quarters on my 2012 than depicted here. Just getting the plug socket itself on and off was a bear. Really tested my patience. Thanks to Robot for the walkthrough.
You wouldn't believe how long I've been waiting for a spark plug change video on a modern Vespa. First time I saw where the plug was located -- to quote Sigourney Weaver in Galaxy Quest -- "F#ck that!"
Thanks. Was easy cheesy. 3min and the plug was changed. Important note was to turn the plug clock wise to loosen the plastic clamp. I was able to use a standard 1/2" ratchet and socket w/o issues.
Been riding for over 30 years and always carry a spare spark plug, with one jug if the plug gos out while on a ride, your walking, and most auto parts stores in US will not have your plug saved the day for me once. Small space under your seat for the extra security.
Robot, thanks again. You’re a godsend! On the east coast there’s just nobody who I trust to touch my Vespa. Do you recommend disconnecting the battery when you change out the plug?
Thanks for creating all your videos, they are really helpful ! I'm new in Vespa world and you just saved my ass in the middle of the road as my bike stopped and i didn't knew what to do !! Really appreciated and grateful for sharing these informatios to all of us !!! 🛵💨
Does anyone know where the boot goes too? I just bought a project vespa and the spark is getting replaced, but when i went to do the job, the boot is missing!! I cant see it dangling anywhere and i am still trying to find out where it supposed to plug into, so i can trace the line... any help, greatly appreciated. I have a 200Gt. thanks.
i know it goes to a green and black flat wire, but not sure where that wire is. I think it's by the sylenoid under the seat bucket on the right if lookin at the steering wheel, and there is also another 2 wires coming off the group of wires in the front by the seat hinge. tried looking all over manual and videos, no one shows where it goes.. any help or video link appreciated.
They're about 10"-12" overall length. If you just google "Long Needle Nose Pliers" you should be able to find something that will do the job. Thanks for watching!
That is one way. I know I used to work on Corvettes and one year required that you cut a hole in the fender well to change the rear spark plug. There was even a rubber plug for the mod
@@lomate1963 Yeah I agree. This guy has saved me thousands of dollars and probably hundreds of hours because I'm a total novice. Robot, you take as long as you want on these---I'm grateful always.

Cool Pharaohs shirt. Thanks for the spark plug info. I'm only at 4.5K, I'll wait.

Also just a good trick, I use an old spark plug wire and slide it on to spin the plug on and off. ty
