I'm so Glad I found this video. I just bought one of these used and it seems to be having electrical issues. The lights work but the motor cuts out sporadically and the only way I can get it to work again is by pressing that clip that holds the motor pick up tabs down but it keeps coming loose. Any advice on how to fix that?

I am assuming you are doing a dcc conversion. Make sure you push the board into the lock tab. if it still has issues the bottom side of the board has pickups put some solder on those to help take up some space. You can also solder the motor tabs to the board and this makes them more reliable. If you find that it still has pickup issues put a small piece of foam on top of the board, when the shell is back on the engine it will put down pressure on the board.

@thenscalereviewer thanks for the reply! I'm not doing a ddc conversion but this advice is helpful. Going to try the foam idea first and see how that goes. If still no luck I'll solder them down. Thank you!
