Thanks for Watching and Have a Magical Day!
I’m shocked that no one has mentioned the obvious: the tornado scene is a tribute to the Scene leading into the Wizard of Oz sequence in the Great Movie Ride.
Good point! When you find John Wayne in there let me know haha
The Studios might get hit by a real tornado now? I rode the runaway railway a few times on opening day as well and I think it will be a crowd pleaser. For me more than anything I was impressed by the technical aspects of the ride rather than the concept or storyline. The clarity of the image mapping on the walls can only be described as high definition crisp and stunning and the the trackless system excites your senses because it is out of the ordinary from what you have expected from a ride all you life. I also very much liked the substantial wind effects from the tornado which is much like the Kylo Ren scene in the Rise of the Resistance. If there was anywhere I thought the ride could improve it would be maybe a bit more cohesive storyline and the empty space could use something overhead to add to the spatial effect. Like having string lights overhead in the amusement park scene. And maybe a grand chandelier overhead in the dance studio with Daisy Duck. But the imagineers are so talented and advanced I have to think they had a reason for not doing so.
It's more likely a reference to the classic Disney short The Band Concert which featured a tornado. It was the first Mickey Mouse short in color.
The Attraction just looks visually outstanding from start to finish. The Imagineers have really outdone themselves!
Grant White I know right. I was really impressed by this ride. Also a fantastic addition to DHS.
I kinda find it ironic that they used a trackless system about a TRAIN ride
capgun17 I never thought about that lol
Hence the name Runaway Railway.
so true
Goofy stayed on track in the engine car completely oblivious to the fact that the rest of the train derailed and ran amuck all over town.
Andre thank you
Ah Kevin Rafferty, such a good guy, so humble. He’s definitely one of my favorite imagineers that is still active with the company :)
So glad you shook his hand to thank him!!
AMagicProduction agree 100%
Causally shakes Kevin rafferty’s hand
that was awesome!
Who is that.
Smokie Lead imagineer on Runaway Railway
Fantastic video, Brayden. I’m glad you had fun. Thank you for sharing
We arrived just after 6am and stepped on the attraction just after 8am. The line moved very quickly. What a fun new addition to Studios. Also it was awesome to see the imagineers at the end of the attraction waiting to see guest reactions.
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and his girlfriend show up in the background of the amusement park scene too
Disney baught Oswald when they were working on the Epic Mickey game so now they own him free and clear!
I didn’t see him but here’s a fun fact:
Oswald was basically the original Mickey Mouse, Oswald came first, but then Walt had the idea to create Mickey Mouse
@@rainyday6512 Walt lost the rights to Oswald and was forced to invent a new character.
I’ve watched several DISNEY vloggers reporting on the new ride. You give a fresh perspective. I thoroughly enjoyed your perspective & content. You do an awesome job
Marr In Memphis I absolutely agree. He does such a great job. I don't understand how he doesn't have a disney press pass yet. He totally deserves one
Y k Does Disney offer media passes to cast members??? Since he’s an employee, he may be disqualified
Marr In Memphis i didn't realize he was an official employee.
He isn't an employee
Y K , maybe they will when he turns 21!
7:19 Passenger guy in the front of the vehicle, in the black baseball cap, who starts to conga dance per Daisy's command is my spirit animal.
Unbelievable talent displayed here! That ending factory transformation gives me chills. What a fun crescendo to a zany ride! If I had to nitpic, it would be that, after watching about 20 different on-ride videos, it seems you can miss a LOT of the room effects depending on which car you are in. For example, I've seen cars that enter the underwater scene first, and barely get a glimpse of the room! And in some scenes, the last car in the room misses alot of the action. A good example would be the room in the jungle that turns into a volcano. Certain vehicles entered the room and the room is already in volcano mode and they completely missed Mickey and Minnie flying in and landing in the bushes. STILL.... that re-rideability element! Cant' wait to experience this. Get some SLEEP Braydon and thank you!
I think I know why they added the twister scene to showcase The Wizard of Oz. The Wizard of Oz portion had the most high tech animatronic until now. So they wanted to support it by making a twister scene to remember it by.
Great video thanks. Skipped through the ride I’ll be there Saturday. Definitely grabbing that PassHolder shirt as well. Can’t wait!!!!
Mondo from Five Fires was right in front of you when you were heading past the ride entrance LOL
The Original Adventurers firing it down firing it down!
It's cool you got interviewed by Disney! This is a nice ride, a cute addition to DHS and it'll be perfect for Toontown
Avery the Cuban-American - You could totally do a Disney news channel C:
you're continually stepping up quality in these blogs, well done man
Great video Brayden. Especially liked your congrats to Kevin Rafferty when you were getting off the attraction. I knew I recognized his face but great that you said hello to him!!!!!
Great Vlog! I was there and got on at 8:20am. Just an awesome, feel good, dark ride that all ages can ride repeatedly. Excellent addition to the park
It’s awesome and weird that you always get up so early to go ride a brand new ride
It’s too bad that Walt Disney isn’t around to see this new ride
Baberaham Lincoln Judging by all the other people there, it’s really not that weird.
This is why you have to love Disney. Looks like a great ride, and they don't have a hangup with recording on rides unlike Universal...
True!
Thanks for all of these exciting videos, Brayden! Your energy makes me so pumped for my next trip in 2 weeks.
I can’t wait for the Microsoft Windows error to appear on the screens
One thing with the projection tech used here, it looks like it would not be too difficult to change the story to a different Mickey short or other Disney character short. So what would really be cool is to have a different story after a length of time say yearly, to keep the attraction fresh over the years.
Or seasonally. It also would be awesome if they add special effects only on either Mickey and Minnie's birthday.
The roving reporter on the scene. Best POV video I've seen. Fear there needs to be a couple more to catch all those details Thanks sir
I saw you while you were walking down sunset boulevard and wanted to say something but saw you were recording lol
Looks awesome and so much fun! Can't wait to ride it. Thanks for posting your latest adventures in WDW!
This is my new favorite ride and I haven't even rode it yet
Very exciting day big ride opening. Looks very nice on my small phone screen.
I still think that after the hype settles down i will still lament the passing of The Great Movie Ride .
Brayden- I've been dealing with some significant heath issues this year and haven't been able to go to the parks since Oct (had to cancel my last trip for surgery). Your wonderful vlogs and podcasts have helped take the edge off my Disney withdrawals. I have at least been able to enjoy the current happenings through your enthusiastic posts. Keep up the great work - you are an amazing young man!
I’m so glad I’ve been able to help Melissa, I’ll be praying for you get well soon! 😁 ~Brayden
im really impressed with the graphics and overall environment of the ride, no wonder it took the imagineers as long as they did to perfect everything they could for this ride
Seriously cant wait to arrive at the end of the month. I'm excited for this ride
Wow that’s what I’m about to experience next week 😂😂😂
3:57 Just realised there are chinese words on the ceiling light. “米奇” is Mickey in chinese. Very fitting for the chinese theatre
Was a great day for sure, nice meeting you! Same ride car hahaha
Man I wish I could’ve been there! We were at the opening morning of Toy Story, actually ended up getting on slinky at exactly 8 am that morning, and it was so much fun! Nothing quite like opening day for something at Disney World!
Today was an amazing day, we went to the opening as well!! Mickey’s Runaway Railway was truly an amazing ride, and I love that its front and center in the park! (As it should be!) Loved the video as always!
Edit: totally agree about the ride-ability! Going in there and spotting so many Hidden Mickeys and Easter Eggs was so much fun!
Wow looks insane, thanks for the vlog!! I can’t wait to ride this summer!
GREAT VIDEO! Good editing!
Superb vid, Braden!! The technology in this ride looks INSANE!! Hope to be there in a few months. Hope to see you there, Dude! (I just said "Dude". I'm 64 years old!! HAA!!)
Great video! thanks for sharing! looks like fun!
Brayden is the man.
This made my day! Smiling from ear to ear now. You are the best Disney channel my friend.
Can't wait until next January when I can experience that attraction! Thanks for the preview, Brayden.
Bravo as usual. What a fun day. Watched live streams from Cory and Josh this morning. Ended with your great coverage as well. It looks like that ride is full of Easter eggs. I’m so glad you made the move down there. Exceptional. AND I would have just died seeing the imagineers at the end. So special ❤️
The ride at the carnival was called the great moving ride as a reference to great movie ride
Ahhhh so AWESOME! Can’t wait!! You did a great job covering this! Thanks for getting up so early for us!
I stil dont want to spoil this so i always skip though so yes I missed half the video, but I got emotional watching you walk into the theater again. Im so excited to step into that building again knowing its been unchanged.
Thanks for sharing! I didn't get to ride before the parks shut down! Can't wait to get back in and ride one day soon :)
Super cool looking. After rewinding a few times it looks like when the screen explodes the entire thing moves up to expose the hole. Simple if that's correct but it's still a cool effect
We will be there just after Thanksgiving, if possible I’m keeping my kids away from any video about this ride! It looks fabulous but I want to see the surprise on their faces! 🥰
Did you notice the poster for The Great Movie ride in there? I was watching it on live stream and caught it. In the carnival room it is on the left side of Donald's concession window. I notice everyone kept looking up to the twister effects, but the sign is at eye level.
you were most probably so excited to meet the big heads of WDW and Imagineering
I was there opening day and waited 2 hours, and that includes 30 minutes where the ride broke down. It was relatively calm for an opening day.
A lot of high expectations for this ride since it was replacing a timeless classic ride and I can say that it does that and more
Can't wait for this to come to Disneyland next. It's going to fit in greatly with Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin.
Wow, you are the first person who vlogged the line for this; that I've seen so far anyways. You really showed it for what it is. We'll probably go in a year. Super cute ride though, it's about time Mickey and Minnie get their own ride.
No one:
This guy: look at that exclusive trash can!!!
Austin Broadnax exactly. Jesus what a
dbag. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
I loved that trash can too and thought it was cute when I saw it.
So awesome thank you for this inside view!! 🤩
Looked like a celebratory atmosphere! Love the ride openings... the excitement in the air is incredible! °●°
Hi from the UK. Looks like a great ride. Was here back in december, loved DHS. Galaxys Edge, looks amazing, and rise of the resistance, & smugglers run, were awesome. Big fan of tower of terror as well.
Have you ever thought about doing a Universal vlog? That would be cool
That was fantastic! I want to go back again now..... not so easy from the UK!!!! 🤦🏻♀️
Stellar video Brayden! I enjoyed every minute! You have a knack of piecing together bits and pieces of video with accompanying narration of this event making it the best I've seen when compared to the other seasoned vloggers on RUclips. Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
I left Disney on Monday, but I can’t wait to get back and experience this!!!!!!
It’s a child version of Rise if the Resistance. Love the colors
Have now watched about a dozen "reviews", this captures the excitement and activity the best, nice work.
Keep up the good work, Brayden!
Living the dream Brayden!
Thank you for the great coverage as always!
Thank you Bradyen! I was so excited to see this!
Great video and amazing coverage of opening day! I was there too and the energy was great!
Thank you so much Brayden that was really really cool
Gets there early in the morning to get rise of the resistance passport instead of runaway railway: BIG BRAIN
We got Group 14 moments before stepping onto our train.
We got 30 but a cast member, doing as she was encouraged, thought she could keep the line moving at 8:00 but EVERYONE paused for 30 seconds and refused to budge. The people that get there at 6:30 in the morning deserve to also get a boarding pass. They are not going to slow down the line for more than 30 seconds to get their boarding pass so let it be.
My sister and my dad did that for Rise of the Resistance a few months ago, that got up at 5 am to get to the park and into star wars land by 7 am so they could get the boarding groups
Kudos to Disney for not making this one of those stupid lottery rides like RotR. If you buy a ticket they are allowing everyone a chance to ride regardless of the wait time. If you want to wait, you get to ride.
Thanks so much! Braden I Love This Channel So Much Thanks For Keeping Us Updated
Thank you for the great content Braden!
i like how you added the time stamps.
Awesome as always! Thanks Brayden!!!
We love Disney and we love your channel! Can’t wait to go back to WDW🤟
This ride was AMAZING!!! I got to ride it three times!
2:39 Whoa, somebody has an Ice Nine Kills shirt on. 🤯 🤘
Great great video!!!! As always!!!! Thanks for all you do!!!
Best vlogger keep up the good work
FYI... If you do the ride on the other 3 cars you experience will be different. Disney Imagineers have formulated the ride to give the customer a different experience on each of the cars. They had a team of people work just on that aspect of the ride.
Thank you!
Wow! I hope the Mary Poppins ride will use similar technology
Just hope it's not based on returns
Did I hear Kevin Rafferty casually thank you by your first name????
I believe you did! Can’t believe a notable imagineer knows who Brayden is
Has anyone else realized how chaotic 2020 has been since Mickey’s Runaway Railway opened? I blame Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy.
Thanks for getting there at 4 a.m. Brayden! Great video.
That's insane waiting in line for just an attraction

Of course, go ahead! 👍🏻
Awesome Vlog Brayden!
I saw where one individual pointed out during the carnival scene that there is a poster titled "the great moving ride". I love that special nod!
"Check out that trash can inside of the Mickey Mouse short...EXCLUSIVE!"... Don't ever change Braydon X-D
Nice seeing you there at opening
Thanks for the hustle for the video! Keep up the great work man!
I was there Wenesday at. 5:45 am. It was a great day. Happy to be apart of Disney History
ive been waiting all day for your vid
Wait time wasn't bad at all for it today. Both parks had really good wait times today compared to how long they've been recently...
Probably because of the virus.
As much as I'm not into the new anemic Ren & Stimpy look of Mickey & friends, I must say this attraction looks amazing!!!
I’ve been waiting for this video for like 2 days now
