I believe Isabel was domineering, scheming and manipulative. She also took advantage of a vulnerable guy who lost the only real love of his life. Dean may take the lead in Ice Dancing and Jayne actually said he " was the boss" in one of their interviews. He seems to be a genuinely nice guy. The two of them had it hard when they started and had to work and then find time to skate around their work schedule. They could have medaled in 1980 at Lake Placid, if they did not have to contend with working. Skaters now are spoiled. Mommy and Daddy take care of them. Viva Torvill and Dean forever the King and Queen of Ice Dancing. Thanks for posting.
@@Person-mh6xq No it is not ridiculous. Skaters during the last 20 years have not had to work full time jobs while they were competing like Torvill and Dean in the 1980 Olympics. They were lucky to get a grant so they could devote all their time to practicing for the 1984 Olympics where they won gold. Torvill and Dean did not have the benefit of Russian coaches and choreography. Dean did everything! Virtue and Moir and their US rivals Davis and White had the benefit of starting early with the same Russian Coach - Marina Zoueva. They were spoiled in the sense that they did not have to worry about supporting themselves and were given monetary as well as training support.

Their problems only really started when he and Jayne were offered Dancing on Ice. The show was filmed in England, and Jill didn't want to uproot their kids and move them to England, different schools, etc. So, Chris tried doing 6 months in England for the show and then 6 months back in the States with his family. That only worked for a short while and then the time apart just became too long to maintain the marriage. But as for his not being over Jayne, I have to agree with you. There's an interview somewhere where Chris says that the only people he really cares for are his two sons "and this one", referring to Jayne, who's sitting next to him.

The pair Duchesnay were a disgrace for France and Quebeque as it turned out manipulative dishonest . Any thing goes to obtain power. Dean was asked by Isabelle to give up his career. To just be her choreograph. AND ONLY THAT: ALL SIGNED AND SEALED . that was the end of that . C;Dean asked for and obtained his divorce .
