Most of the time, I tend to be more supportive. I always want to listen to people before I speak and I do not discard whatever Idea that is already on the table. I would rather air my ideas for the group to also consider.

These strategies seem very noble and indeed inclusive! In pressured situations where time is of the essence hearing everyone's opinion can simply unfeasible. How do Gibb's framework address this challenge? I find your videos very informative an easily digestible, thanks for the work!

Thank you, Frederik. Pressure does make it more challenging but I think that Gibb's framework is about how we express ourselves, not so much giving time to have others speak. I think supportive communication can have that benefit but it's more about communicating in ways that uphold a respectful view of others. Time pressure may add stress but the more we practice the more consistent we'll get.

i watched this for a class and i mean no disrespect when i say this but i honestly wasn't expecting much + i was delightfully wrong. this is the BEST video and/or description i've seen about communication probably in my entire life. it puts everything in my head into an organized system that makes perfect sense. i can clearly see why i've had conflicts with people (especially family) about communication in the past, because we are on opposite sides of these points. this should seriously be taught in all k-12 schools. thank you so much for sharing.
