I was educated by nuns who followed the Rule of St. Ignatius of Loyola and was married in Nairobi, Kenya, in the Church of St. Francis Xavier in February 1962. Many fond memories of that time. I didn’t realise that St. Francis Xavier was influential in the founding of the Society of Jesus.
Several years ago our assistant parish priest here at Christ the Redeemer in West Vancouver was Fr. Xavier, an amazing Indian priest who died too young. He is missed.
