I moved from Brazil to Italy, from Italy to England, I was thinking to move to Switzerland, but I had enough!!! It's time to change, all this emptiness can't be filled by the world. Don't waste your time with false promises in this earth, Surrender to God !!! God bless you.
I'm an alcoholic doing the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous Recovery Program. And knowing the Confessions of St Augustine, I can say that St Augustine laid the foundation of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Thank you Bishop Barron.
12-steps did not come from the Church. St. Augustine would not support it. Dr. Bob Smith and Bill Wilson (founders) admit that much of their philosophy came from the Oxford Group Movement, which was censured by the Church because it promoted religious indifferentism. Bill Wilson participated in occult practices and later took LSD (which he saw no contradiction in AA) because he sought spiritual experiences (Step 11). He sought lessons from Fulton Sheen to convert to Catholicism, but stopped because Catholicism is incompatible with AA. This info was shared by a Priest.

Dear Bishop. Thank you for this masterful treatise on Augustine . I feel as if Augustine had been part of my life all of my 81 years. I was taught by the Augustinians in high school and college. More recently I taught at Seton Hall University where the Confessions was required reading for all students. I’ve even visited the site of St. Monica’s home in Ostia Antiqua. Again thank you for this and all of your work.

Such a beautiful story/history. Thank you for the captivating eloquence in telling the stories of the pivotal players (actually in every story, sermon, or conversation). Thank you, Bishop Barron and all those who help you to create these incredibly educational masterpieces.
Undescriptable what Bishop Barron and others like Ascension do for my faith. I really love the focus on beauty, truth and kindness that you share with us.
Thank you for sharing this video on YT! I read Confessions for the first time last year, which took me several months, not because it was difficult to read, but because I found myself sobbing at the passion and beauty of Augustine's prayer... His soul-searching mirrored my own. Praise be to God for men and women who have gone before us in the faith to share His light and goodness.
Thank you once again, Bishop. Like ancient prophets, the Lord is using you to tell our fallen world to change its ways before God takes away His hedge from around His vineyard: the many great nations of the world that are now suffering like the Roman Empire the consequences of indifference to Christ.
Thank you Bishop Barron, I have been really looking into St. Augustin after seeing something about just what this was about and you clarified all that I was seeking. I have loved your Catholicism Series ever since the beginning, I am 79 years old and have followed you since. GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS 🙏💙🙏
I think the moral lesson of co-workers' common values, and beliefs has significantly affected teamwork given an action of support from the administration. This will help us to be more productive, stronger, creative, and committed to engaging in our daily task jobs. Not only co-workers but also help the students discover more about themselves and improve their confidence and sense of well-being, especially in their academic performance.
Thank you for your dedication to teaching and sharing the life of St. Augustine. I have sent this to family and friends. May God bless you and your Apostolate.
I have had so many people, even a minister at my church, to have been raised Catholic; yet, not understand their need for Jesus, our Savior. Thank God, I had good priests and religion teachers that taught me that I am saved through grace by faith in Jesus. You so eloquently explain this in this and your other videos, and I just want to thank you. You are giving so many Christians, whether Catholic or Protestants, and unbelievers the true hope of the Gospel-Jesus is Lord and Savior, and He came to earth to pay our penalty for our sins. May God bless you and your ministry as you continue to proclaim the Truth that is Christ!
Thank you Bishop for this blessing of a supper document. I studied with my parish your series on “Catholicism” and am delighted to find this presentation of Saint Augustine. Great video. Makes me want to read the Confessions and City of God. If the Hollywood gods are phony, the morals and behavior of society will be phony. What you worship and value the most determine your behavior. Just like in reinforcement learning and consistent with Matthew 6:21.

Whoever composed the music for this was brilliant. Excellent musical writing
The background music is absolutely meaningless. The text would be easier to listen to without it.
