I hope you enjoy this tour of the NEC Toy Fair and the pickups! What would you have taken home? As always, thanks for the support... Happy New Year! Cheers, VTR Dave 🤘
Happy New Year! Cool B.A figure, I had the army Action jack's as a kid, remember them having lots of extra bits. Thanks for the amazing videos in 2024. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Cheers Lee!! 👍 Yeah, those Action Jacks are pretty cool, may have to find some more. Glad you enjoyed the videos, thanks for all your support. Happy New Year!
Nice find with Drax and the great box too. Nice tour and video, thanks VTR Dave! 2:39 The Wishbook volume 1 is great. Volume 2 is awesome too and includes the entire M.A.S.K. Kenner line, plus Tron, Super Powers, etc.
Aw you met toy polloi Dave!!!!! Two restoration extraordinaires together!👍 Great event and great pick ups as always Dave, especially that BA variant and Drax, you get all the best stuff my friend, see you in 2025 👍
I think the photo with Dave was from the January Shepton Mallet toy fair 👍 Very pleased with the pickups this time, nice way to end the year... however, let's make 2025 even better... let's see if we can meet up multiple times!!! 🤘
Great video Dave, always enjoy joining you on a toy hunt, if only vicariously via RUclips :-) Nearly made it to the NEC this time, but just didn't work out in the end. Looks like some great items and you got some great pickups. Think I'll be picking up the odd annual or storybook in the coming years. Got a Last Starfighter storybook recently after seeing the remastered film. I also received a 1975 Star Trek annual from my youngest daughter for Christmas, which is fabulous. Happy New Year to you and DCB June, hope to see you at a future toy fair 👍
Thanks Scott! 👍 Would have been great to see you there, but we have this year to meet up!! Last Starfighter... now that's a blast from the past. There were annuals for everything 😎 Fun to collect though. Happy New Year!! 🥂
Great video VTR, it's always an awesome pleasure seeing you at these events. Glad you and DCB June liked the annuals. (With all the pictures at the end, it seems like I was stalking you!! But with everyone there it goes to show what a great community we have).
Cheers Dez!! Thank you so much for those annuals 🤘 Ha ha, when I pulled those pics together, I did chuckle, as I thought you popped up everywhere 🤣 Wouldn't have it any other way!!
Been waiting for your video to come out on the NEC toy fair as I was unable to make it. Another great watch from yourself again 👌 Didn’t see much Action Force there, i’m going to be concentrating on adding to that and the Gi Joe collection next year hopefully.
Fantastic pickups VTR....wow. My eyes lit up with glee when I saw you picked up am Action Jsck......I collected those as a kid. I forgot all about them up until this video.
Cheers Chris!! 👍 Yeah, awesome customs... the guy has also done some A-Team Battle Beasts but unfortunately he didn't bring them on the day... maybe next time.
Cheers Kieron!! 👍 Agree, good to see AM & Six Million Dollar man. Shame Big Foot is so damn expensive... cause I'd really like to add one to the collection 😎
Awesome Video, love the camara work showing us a variety of different toy lines and prices there in the UK, hope to come over one day enjoy the shows in person. Have a great New Years !
Thanks Chuck!! 👍 Glad you like the style of the videos, I try to be a slightly different with the toy hunt coverage. If you do come over let me know! Happy New Year 🤘
Great video as always man. 👏NEC looked stacked with some great stuff this time. 😮 Those card backs for Titans were sweet. Liked the MASK communicators and the MIMPs. Hope your New Years is a good one. Thank you for sharing.
A great video of a brilliant fair Dave. I made it over myself for the day but didn't manage to bump into you, had a fabulous day though. That Battle of the Planets Annual...lovely!
Hi Dave, sure is but hopefully the next time. I got some nice pickups including some Action Force reinforcements and some nice boxed Matchbox die cast vehicles. Happy reading with the Annual, cheers.
Hi Dave, I always look forward to your videos-I really appreciate your passion and the way you put them together. There are some poor alternatives out there with badly made vintage toy videos that are almost unwatchable, but you, Jules, and Toy Polloi are the crème de la crème. Keep up the great work!
Ah thank you so much for your kind words... and that's quite some company... I'm a big fan of both Jules & Dave. I'd love to publish more frequently, but when I do, I try to create something worthwhile 👍
Thanks!! Yeah, I see you too and am subscribed to your channel. Just got the Kraken - it's been a long search for one that's a decent price, I got it from the US! 👍
Looks like it was a great Toy fair Dave you picked up some real eclectic toys for the collection 😊, thx for sharing mate hope you have a fantastic new year in 2025 cheers Muzz 🇦🇺
Another fantastic overview showcasing an array of awesome toy goodness. That Action Man Mountaineer may have been coming home with me, if I had attended. Instead I was at the Guppenheim museum in Yeovil. Maybe next year…👍🏽
@VintageToyRush now this might be my memory making things up, but I'm sure there was a maybe a few more than 6, and also you could get a couple of vehicles and even a playset of some kind.
Wow, so much beautiful stuff! MOC and boxed Buck Rogers, CHiPs, Lone Ranger, The Black Hole... I could go on forever. But here's some personal faves... 4:23 Graded BOB + The Greatest American Hero 😍 8:55 Automan! The most disappointing show of my childhood 😞 16:25 Plush Batfink & Karate 😲 BA variant took me back to that brief moment in time when Mr. T was pretty much the biggest star in the universe. Well, he was to us eight year-olds in 1983 😆 Toy You Tube All-Star line-up in the photos haha
You have great taste!!! Well spotted on The Greatest American Hero, Batfink & Karate!! 👍 And yeah, Mr T was everywhere back in the 80s - I think we forget how big a deal he was back then.
@ yea you should check out the great Ohio toy show. I’ve never been but the videos look insane with how massive it is. Problem is you have to hang out in Ohio which is… uninteresting to say the least lol
@ yea hard pass but I’m heading out there for a show in February Toyhio. Supposed to be good. Apparently that area is like the toy collecting capitol of the US 🤷🏼
Great stuff Dave! Moonraker Drax 😮 amazing pick-up. I’ve just started re watching V and although dated what a show. He-Woks 🤣🤣🤣🤣 We have booked a hotel for NEC next September so will finally get to this toy fair! 👌 Looking forward to seeing you around in the new year mate 👍
Cheers Martyn! Very pleased with Drax, it's been a long hunt for that one 👍 Love V, but it kinda freaked me out as a kid LOL Have started reading the annual to refresh my memory. The custom guy is fantastic! He has many funny card backs 🤣 Well, I'm definitely booking for Sept then, that will be a good laugh 👍
I could of sworn i seen you sitting having a coffee in the shop, my eyesite isnt great at distance lol (i had a stall opposite it) but i couldnt get away and i dont recall you coming past (we were selling retro video game stuff, so thats probably why) all the best for 2025 mate (ive been watching for ages)
Ah I think I know which stall that was - had a load of retro consoles on there? I am interested in retro gaming too, had a C64 which I absolutely loved. Thanks for all the support, and hopefully next time we can say hello 👍
I used to buy Action Jacks from Scarborough indoor market. They were about 50p in the mid-80’s. A great pocket money toy. Apparently they’re a KO of a Matchbox toyline called Mobile Action Command
Love the Clash of the Titans stuff, I only had one figure as a kid: Charon, and I still have him, complete with sword. Sadly the cardback never survived.
Fantastic you have your childhood figure! I've been enjoying collecting the line - wish they'd done more back in the day. The carded versions are expensive here, so am happy with repro card backs for now 👍
Yeah there were quite a few graded loose figures at this show. At the time, I wasn't even sure which Black Hole figure that was, as I'd never seen one before 😎
Hasbro really slipped up by letting the go of the Battle Beasts trademark. If they re-released them today they would absolutely fly off the shelves. They've always been just so cool.
I hope you enjoy this tour of the NEC Toy Fair and the pickups! What would you have taken home? As always, thanks for the support... Happy New Year! Cheers, VTR Dave 🤘

Another VTR video and another 12" Mr T in the background. How do I keep missing these?!! Awesome video Dave and super pickups.
Cheers Conor!! 👍 You're not hunting Mr T, he's hunting you 🤣
Nice find with Drax and the great box too. Nice tour and video, thanks VTR Dave! 2:39 The Wishbook volume 1 is great. Volume 2 is awesome too and includes the entire M.A.S.K. Kenner line, plus Tron, Super Powers, etc.
Thanks!! Very pleased with Drax! 👍 Yeah, those Wishbook volumes are very well done and dangerous 😎
@@VintageToyRush Cool, good to hear. Yeah, volume 2 has all of the classic Dune figures, worm and vehicles too, I forgot to mention it before. Enjoy!

Fantastic pickups VTR....wow. My eyes lit up with glee when I saw you picked up am Action Jsck......I collected those as a kid. I forgot all about them up until this video.

Great toy hunt, edit and haul. Cool seeing the battle beasts crossovers. Cheers for taking us along. Nec never disappoints.

Great NEC Toy Fair video and pick ups, Dave.

Hey Jeff!! Shame we didn't cross paths... hope you had success with your finds 👍 Very pleased with the annual, already started reading it 😎

Always a pleasure my friend - only 52 days until Sandown. Great video as always (even with my annoying voice in the background) lol

@@vadertronstoychest most of the time, my US deliveries have a small import charge, this time I don't seem to have been charged at all! 👍
@VintageToyRush great stuff
Should picked up one of those clash of the titans card backs. Audio problem is hearing Adam in the background lol.
You git lol
They've done a great job on those cards! 👍
