I am a 66 year old grandma. Been working out for 4 months. This works. Take time between work outs for recovery. I started by just walking and stretching before I started doing weights. Muscle atrophy is horrible. I want to be happy, healthy, and strong for the rest of my days...
Finally! Someone that's not a kid in their 20's or even 30's trying to show the effects of exercising for someone who is older and really doesn't have a clue about how age affects the body after 50. I am very grateful thank you!

Nice
Bob and Brad, PT don't recommend these exercises and explain why in their video.
@@user-pd7il3xz5j
One of them, can’t even do one push-up 🤦🏼♀️
Agree ! When I was in my 20’s I was super fit. Now in my 50’s, it’s a battle to not get too flabby and out of shape 😬
Thank goodness for a soft spoken older woman who explains in detail rather than the loud young ones who don’t stop talking about themselves 🤦🏼♀️
Trying to avoid batwings at 70!! I love the way that you are really looking at the safety and body /head positions. thank you.
Thank you Deborah for this work out. I am over 60 and your exercises have helped me strengthen my arms. I have been doing these exercises 3x week and find a lot of change - NO MORE JINGLES.
Google "Takishima Mika". She's a 92 yr. young fitness trainer. I want to be as fit as her if I live to her age. All the very best to you! Imagine it, and you can become it! And always remember, that when we don't exercise, we rust.
Went in for arthroscopic knee surgery after I tore my ACL l/ meniscus from a fall the day after my 50th (crutches for my bday)...it was a life changing moment..have been doing these exercises everyday with some light walking, dropped 15lbs! In best shape since my 20s..key is to change your mindset to positive, everything falls into place after that- it's not easy but once you start feeling good and seeing the changes it becomes addictive
I am glad that a person that is not a teenager or a little older is doing these exercises. I am very encouraged to start. I am 67.
Hello 👋
I am 71, and my arms look terrible! I have terrible batwings. No one has given me any good exercise to do up till now to fix this. I will work on these exercises; wish me luck!
I know. Everyone my age (72) says you can exercise all day but you’ll not be able to get rid of the three quarter length sleeves!! Let’s prove them wrong!
I am 77, recovering from open heart surgery and am horrified by my "wing" back triceps. Once the dermatologist got my awful scar pain manageable with injections I am sure I can get these arms in shape!! These exercises look the thing to do!!
I passed 60 thirteen years ago, not bad compared to others but I’ll do these exercises. Thank you! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Love it !! ❤️
I'm almost 61, and this has been an ongoing problem for me.. This seems like a short, effective routine for me. Just started, and hoping for good results!
How are you doing 5 years later ?
Thank you for the informative video. I'm 63 and started out with soup cans a few years ago, graduated to 8 lbs. but stopped over the summer due to working outside but now that autumn is here and winter is coming, I'm going to watch your videos and work out inside again.
Thank you for taking the time to explain the correct form behind each of these exercises; so many fitness trainers on RUclips don’t bother with this information and people don’t get the true benefits of the exercises that they do.
This video hit the nail on the head. My arms have never inspired confidence in going sleeveless and getting past 65 has not helped. I never subscribe, but I subscribed to your videos. Straightfoward, thorough, and no nonsense advice. I'll let you know how it goes.
What is good about this video is that the tutor states the importance of diet and exercise in conjunction with the routines. Plus, she mentions the need for some regularity of the exercises with some minor changes to get the most out of each exercise. There's no bs around the results, yes, it takes time and with persistence results will be seen. This lady is a refreshing change to alot of the exercise videos which make huge claims. Thanks for the clear and concise advice.
Nice 👍 job in creating an effective arm workout in 4-5 minutes! Well explained and demonstrated! As a 59 yr old, I’m on board with this routine!
My thing has always been cardio and dancing which I love, but now that I am over 50 I realized that I have neglected certain muscles that when I see in the mirror I don't like. I am going to make this part of my routine for a while and check out my before and after. Thanks for posting
I'm 66 yrs. old. I lost 65 lbs. in 5 months on Keto. It is now a lifestyle, not a diet, because I can continue throughout my lifetime. Easy, fun and I'm never hungry! I feel great for once in my life! Your exercises will help with some flabby arms. Thank you!
nalvar82 you go girl. I’m 49 in a couple of months. doing Keto 6 weeks in. Lost 22 lbs. flabby arms have me here. Started at 178lbs. 5ft 2
My favorite exercise video you've done so far--leaves me feeling better, healthier, and keeps my arms in shape!
Thanks for posting this - I’m 67 and lost too much weight from a bad bout of the flu in the spring. Gaining back weight and mass and strength but was looking for how to correctly exercise away the batwings that I now have - you have the knowledge that I needed as I used to exercise and know how bad it can be to exercise without knowing the correct positions
I'm 56 yrs old and have had huge arms for years. This video has given me some great ideas on how to lose them. Thanks for the advice.
Great video! I am 65 and I'm trying to improve my health and get in better shape. This is the first video that I have found for us older ladies. As my husband says, you have to start somewhere and this is an awesome video for me to start with.
Thanks for this. Clearly explained, sensible advice and manageable exercises - speaking as an over-60! There are no magic wands but we can do a lot to improve our muscle-tone and look and feel better whatever our age.
ay you are so inspiring to work with the "older" fitness folks...i absolutely love that and being in the same age range and looking to work with 30s and up to seniors in restorative fitness is my career goal.
Thank you for this video . It’s exactly what I needed. Also love your manner of gentle coaching.
Hi Deborah. I wish to testify that I have been doing the arms workout for over three months now and have noticed A GREAT CHANGE in my arms. I have had to adjust sleeves to my dresses and tops. I wish to thank you for posting this video on line. Now I wish to check out your website for exercises for inner thighs for senior women.
Happy for you!
Thanks for the testimony. It gives me hope that the routine will work for me.
Please provide some before and after pics of women who've done this routine. So we can see that a visible improvement is indeed possible for those of us 60+.
I'm 63 and yes! I can go sleeveless! I workout consistently and I thank you for your video!! I just subscribed!
Great video and wonderful instructor. You speak very well and engage with people in a lovely way unlike others in some videos that are unrealistic and annoying. I really value your advice and information on technique and exercises.
Thank you Debra. This feels like a good arm workout I can trust.
I'm 55 and I have rhumatoid arthritis and I have all over joint issues...so trying to excersis is complicated and trying to stay fit and lose weight has also become complicated...your video has alowed me to slowly work out my issues and not be in pain afterwards...thanks
This is great ! Thanks for your posting. I am one of those who only did the kick back, but your method is so much better.
You’re awesome girl, thank you!🙏🏼I’m 62 and I started doing your exercises two weeks ago and I already tied in my flappy arms 😆thank you please keep posting for us 🌺
Debra, I watch this video over and over, and appreciate it every time. I have it saved in my fitness list. Thanks very much for sharing! ...JudyAnn
Fun handle Scarlett!
I I had to turn 61 and gain my own confidence before I would allow myself to go sleeveless. But this past summer I did and you know what? People weren't gasping, little children weren't running away...in fact, I don't think anyone even noticed! I've been working out, I've lost close to 50# but have another 50# I want to lose. But the confidence I gained to love myself here and now, right this minute, is priceless! But I would still like to firm up my arms as much as possible and help keep them strong, so thank you for this video!
Good on you Luanne! It's really freeing isn't it?
I needed to read that! I'm 65 and would never go sleeveless.I"m going to try it tomorrow.
Harmon McCraw, don't shirts all have sleeves?
Luanne kleiman wow
Harmon McCraw 🤔 good for her, not for many.
Thanks so much! Love these exercises and your lovely personality! You go girl!
This is a realistic approach to staying as fit and strong as possible as we age. Thank you !
This is still one of the most watched videos on this channel! LMK what your questions are and how I can help! Love arm work? You might also like this one: ruclips.net/video/t4B9JlLMaPs/видео.htmlsi=i6rb-A950DqteLxm Or this Playlist: ruclips.net/video/t4B9JlLMaPs/видео.htmlsi=BvzBvMO0bTeOUlIn
I'm 68 and have arthritis and rare. I've started with weights. I look forward to keeping up with this exercise. I have flabby arms! Thank you for helping!!
Wow, thank you. Not only for the exercises but for all the information you gave regarding each exercise. The how’s and why’s. Will definitely add these to my upper body exercise days. ❤️
Thank you, great instructions for the older lady...me! I would love to have arms that are as toned as yours, so I am sticking with these exercuses. They don't seem a lot, but I felt the burn!!! Thank you
Love the way you explain and teach! Valuable info, thank you.
OMG I looove you...... thank you so, so much for putting up this video for everyone....including the ' aging ' ....like me. One of my best features were my arms up until 2-3 years ago , took so much pride in going sleeveless....turning 65 and things are just not quite the same( bodywise). I have lost muscle and can now flap around with the birds - not for much longer. Looking forward to exercising with you every alternate day...blessings!
Wow, one set and I'm feeling the burn. I have weights at work and when to guys went to lunch, this girl decided to start my exercising again. Thank you!!
I lived in the mountains in the winter and all I had to do is shovel snow up to three hours a day.
so important thank you. keep these coming!
Ooooh thank you ! I’m 62 & boy do I need this! Effective annnnd …. DOABLE. What a relief thx again. Liz
Thanks! I do three of the four currently with 3 lbs weights. Combining exercises two and three will add the missing piece I think. Keto and 17 pounds lighter (loose skin) plus age 62...gravity is less constant at this stage in life 🤣. I am looking forward to improved tone and strength. I'm getting there and your advise will help a lot. Again thanks!
Just tried this with no weights at all - it was challenging! Fantastic workout
Love your energy - great demo.
Great video! I liked how you had us use water bottles. Great reminder to use whatever you have in order to up the ante on our workout vs. Going out and getting weights.
First attempt is a little challenging! Thank you!
I have worked out my whole life, I never did a straight arm back lift. Hmmm I learned something new today, thanks!
It has taken me 4 years to find you on YT. Thank you!
Really why has it taken you so long?
Thanks for taking the time to explain what you were doing, so many video the ppl have no clue what’s up. 👍👍
Fantastic exercises! Thank you!
Hi, Im 48 year old woman and have always gone to the gym, I love weight training and cant recommend it enough. I have how ever the muffin top after 2 kids. You have really inspired me again and Im looking forward to listening to all your podcasts. Your points about stress are so true its just where Im at and I have 2 businesses. Thanks for all the info it amazing and great that so much of it is free. looking forward to following all your tips. Shelly
Pappa Ciccia Thank you Shelly! Glad it's helping. From what you say... you sound busy. Stress may play a big part...make room for good sleep and doing what you can control with high quality intake when you're so busy- that ends up being the saving grace for many! Thank you so much for sharing! Keep me posted.

Pappa Ciccia ?
I really think once you get to a certain age, you get folds of loose skin at the underarm area which is noticeable in sleeveless, even on well toned slim women. Still, worth working out for fitness, and to look as best we can and build confidence.
I swim 4 times a week, about 1km each time, front crawl and breast stroke. Not noticed any changes in my arms in 10 months. I’m 64. Will try these.Thank you from Devon UK
This is a very good video, actually it's an amazingly good video....correct posture, well eplained, does not promise 'great' results', not too challenging for someone over 60. Chapeau to you Flipping 50
I have been enjoying your super routines thank you. You know what you’re talking about .
These exercises really work. I used to do them when I was 30, and I had nice arms, then I got lazy and stopped. I'm 46 and I'm going to start again.... 😯😯😯😯
Just curious.. What made you become lazy?
@@joshuascott7907 Age
@@spearmint1569 Need to take a mental note.Age will make me lazy!!! Thanks for the reply. Reyna
I really like this video. Did the workout, & felt it in my shoulders & back of my arms. Great teaching, very clear & to the point. Look forward to having my bat wings toned! lol Thanks for a great --short video.
It was a great workout I agree. And yes when you do it you can feel in all of those places. Way to do it!
Very helpful videos! I love them all!
Thank you! I'm 59 and have Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is in my shoulders. I will follow you though, and try to do the exercises I can. You are so good to teach us!
I started these a few weeks ago, I do see a slight improvement, It will be winter before my arms are sleeveless ready!
I’m 68 and lost 112 pounds over the last 5 years. Now 130. Look great in clothes but the last 25 pounds left me with SAG! Thanks! Subbed!
Thanks very much. I just subscribed. I'll be 56 in October and this is one area that I need to work on.
Awesome! Thank you so much! I am 53 and have terrible rotary cuff issues... seems every time I exercise I injure my shoulder again (goes into my neck too) But following you... I don't think I hurt myself. lol You are wonderful! :)
DeAnnaYah ... google rotator cuff and prolotherapy. Good stuff
DeAnnaYah is
Are you on fb
It is important when you have some shoulder issues to modify as necessary and do as much as you can
DeAnnaYah, hope you did well if you did these exercises over the long haul.

Yes I agree. Video not pressing us to do more than we should! I’m 70 and am hoping to get back into exercise.
You're very informative , and polite :) Thank you !

These are perfect for me. I had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders, many years ago. And also neck surgery. My 3 pound weights are perfect. Thank you !!
I love your videos. Thank you for posting them!
+Joan Patterson Thanks Joan!
Thank you! I find the personal trainers at the gym do not have a clue about the challenges of women over 50.
I hear this too often Kay Schutlz!
Flipping50 l
Or over 70. You're not just unfit, but brain dead!
Judith Kingsbury you would be surprised to know that there are quite a bunch of younger people more dead brained that people over 70.
It's a supplement. 1 tablespoon a day. CLA and a collagen/HA Matrix! Amazing Results.
Love these videos. New to your channel. 65 and fit. Now I can be even better. Thanks to you.
Loving your content
Hello 👋
So glad I found her ! Plus I have shoulder issues with my right shoulder with osteoarthritis and tendinitis. I start physical therapy on it next week which I am so looking forward to. I am going to do these without weights for the first week to see if I get any shoulder pain before grabbing those Cambells soup cans. I love lifting wts but got tendinitis at the gym doing the arm press up machine so I stopped that one. Then the Pandemic hit. I can't do the plank anymore which I greatly miss too. 😕 I may only be able to do tiny movements at this point. I hope that with physical therapy and doing some lite Tricep movements can help. I am not used to the crepe look but I can't lose any weight or they may look worse. Lol
This is just what I was looking for. Thank you!
Robin, how are the exercises going?
good video. I will be looking up more of your..thank you for providing
Thank you very much. Very helpful information and demonstration.
Felt the burn and I'm 61. Thanks
I'm 69 and sure felt the burn after those few arm exercises. I've been exercising for quite a few years so hope my arms can still catch up and get firmer! Thank YOU Fliippin50 !
This is a great exercise . .. at a level I can handle. Thanks for this.
Thank you! It's awesome!
Just got this video! These are the best exercises I've seen so far. Going to start them. Thank You🌟
