@@CogSpartan The Protagonist wanted to be reborn to live a life as an adventurer, she wants to be the BEST Swordsman, plans to fight and kill those magic beasts which can only be hurt/killed by magic (As they are immune to MUNDANE weaponry & Protagonist killed one with magic, the artifacts are most likely just magical weapons as well) and shows off her Swordsman skills at age 5 against someone who fight and won against a dozen seasoned knights, while her eyes are closed.
Yes, definitely very ordinary. The only thing she hides is the fact that she is able to cast magic, as magical knowledge seems to have nearly died out in this world/age, so using it could make things more difficult than they have to be (yo, your kid was floating, must be a magic doppelganger monster, better kill it!). Additionally, being an Adventurer/knight/soldier is never 'ordinary', even if its in a fantasy world with magic and gods. an ordinary life would be a craftswoman, farmer or something like that, finding a husband, marrying, getting kids, not run into the gaping maw of a deadly beast in order to blast it to smithereens.

You know, after watching this episode I was shocked. By what you may ask? By the very fact that the entire episode was 2D animated. Why might this be shocking? Purely because so many damn Anime, especially in this genre, have this incessant need to put VERY BADLY designed 3D models as monsters. I was genuinely shocked the dragon was not some horrible 3D abomination lol.

something very good and quite similar to this is a webtoon (on tapas) called 'The beginning after the end', the main character basically was a really strong king and after he died he was reborn as a child. In the new world there is a aura type thing [powered by mana] that specifies how strong you are with many different elements and colour auras [some stronger than others which is powered by the surrounding "aether" or "mana"] (im so bad at describing lol) basically he awoken really early because obviously he is a man in a childs body so hes pretty op for his bodies age and the story is just very amazing (if things where its very overly sexual and no good story around it isn't too much for you luckily this isn't purely based around that)

That's my fave comic. I would argue it's better than most isikai that try to mimic it. It's been going for a while, and has both a great foundation to it's world and plot direction.

It seems like there is a lot of anime this season that has a lot of similarities to other anime and web comics I have seen and/or read. Not many seem to be truly original.
Honestly, I'm not that surprised considering what the competition is like in Japan. Why take a huge risk on a fully new idea, when you can take something that is popular and add your own flavor to it?
@@33pandagamer It is not uncommon for anime to follow trends, but I never really had the feeling like I have already watched/seen certain scenes before in a new anime. There is a new anime that will be coming out soon that when I was watching the trailer I could have sworn I watching the animation of a popular web comic I have recently read and then all of a sudden in the trailer it changed to the main character growing up to be a girl in stead of a guy and the plot was suddenly different. The beginning was exactly the same as the web comic.
