Your explanation of undercut is perfect. Undercuts are undesirable in injection molding. This engineer is weeping tears of joy.
You are too kind, good sir 😭
You might be the coolest person I have ever seen. Keep casting!
Im just learning about molds and was so glad to find your channel. You are phenomenal at explaining things in a simple way while also being entertaining without wasting time or being annoying (which seems impossible for others). Thanks for the super helpful videos! ☺️

Gorgeous mold! Thanks so much 😊 I'm going to try to make a mold of the face from a small plaster bust of David...❤
It’s stuck… No undercuts, and I coated the object with 3 coats of Murphy’s oil soap letting each coat dry. Looking for advice, any ideas? If I have to I’ll just bust the bust out, but I hope it won’t come to that! Watching your video again, so satisfying!!😅
Thank you so much.
Very clear explanation, open minded in giving info.Love the video.

And this comes from a mold maker....I LOVE your videos! I will make sure I mention your channel (if you don't mind) when I do a video on molds, plaster or mold making. Great work!
I know nothing about molds. Could you explain how to make a mold of a teatray or serving platter? Please. :)
@@deborahgonzalezknight168 Actually you do not need a mold. Find the clay body you wish to work with , roll mit out about 1/4 to 3/8 inches thick and place a plaste or platter of your choice over that and cut around the edge. Remoce the platter or plate and then place the cut out clay on the inside of the platter/plate and gently smooth the clay to the inside conture. When the clay dries, remove it, clean up any imperfectionass and fire to bisque. Hope this helps.
Wow, I was having trouble understanding molds but this HELPED SO MUCH !
Do you wait until the soap is dry before adding another coat and before pouring the plaster?

I enjoy watching you thoroughly teach this technical skill of multi sectional mold making. Your drawn/cut out diagrams along with actual mold making demonstrations connected great with me. I’ve developed a major crush on you, solely based off of these two video demonstrations. Nice to see unicorns still exist 🤷♂️🙏☺️ you’re great!

Great videos...well done and informational. I make simple open face molds for glass fusing and am wondering what ceramic mold material you are using. The material I use usually breaks down after a few castings and doesn't hold detail that great. Keep it up!!
Okay, that was a surprisingly enjoyable tutorial; funny and straightforward. It's what tutorials should be.
Oh, and the Batman apron was a nice touch, too. :)

What is the mold made of?
URGENT: What kind of clay and plaster are you using?? Love the video you rock! Need more info for school project!! :)

what sort of clay is used ? I've seen a few people use clay as a base or in two part molds but what type of clay can be used. Air dry Clay ?
Since you haven’t received a response to your question yet, I’m curious what exactly you meant…do you mean what type of clay can be used to cast with? Or are you asking what type of clay at the bottom, just to make a base to put the form in?
Beautifull ! I LOVE MOLD 😃.
Wow, MEGA clear! Thanks!!
Fantabulous
