- Lots of test footage of Monster the new for 2021 B&M invert at Gröna Lund. Shot on Thursday the 1 of April.
And yes… there will be some slowmotion. But also two complete uncut complete circuits at the end (2:16 and 2:52) of the video for those who are interested in pacing and transitions between the elements.
Please note that the last part of the track - the camelback and final spiral is not visible from outside the park and is not included in this footage.
The coaster is set to open on the 5th of May.

For those or you who don’t know: a junior Immelmann is a non-inverted Immelmann another notable coaster that features one is Black Mamba at Phantaisaland

They sure do! So glad they went with a dark color scheme for this coaster.
I just noticed they’re using the original invert trains and not the vest restraints! That’s bound to be a more intense experience! The original trains are way better. ESPECIALLY on dive machines.
Agree. The vest restrains makes everything feel too tight and too controlled.

Yeah, the giant supports are really unique to this coaster. I made an entire video about them if you want to see more.

I love those giant, thick tower supports. It looks different, kinda reminds of me how different the supports are on Eurostar, though I know that was just with the B&M manufacturing type track and not actually B&M. It definitely took some brilliant engineering to fit this all in here, not mess up at all, and get it going. Though it was definitely "worked on" given the original layout changed to not include a vertical loop, one can understand with the constrained space-though, if they could've gotten it in and removed "Insane" it would've been worth it.

Haha, best comment ever. Getting good sound is actually harder than picture. Boats, birds people and the occasional helicopter tends to show up at the same time as the train dispatches. Need to add something to scare away seagulls with in my camera bag...
@@FABHadventures Haha, I imagine that the harbor atmosphere adds charm to the park. This is what makes me want to visit it one day.
Now that it is more broken in this looks almost as intense as a Batman layout. Which is a good thing.

Old B&M trains? why not a pre-drop as well?
B&M got rid of the pre-drop long ago
They got rid of pre drop with Banshee on inverts. They've redesigned chain system to compensate for train leaving the chain at top. Which was reason for pre drops. And can't tell. Looks like old trains yeah. Maybe they haven't fixed the tightening for invert vest restraints like they did on dive coasters vests. Saw in Liseberg behind scenes video was a demand from park if they were going to buy the vest restraint dive coaster trains and B&M supposedly fixed that. Maybe something similar here? Or they just wanted cheaper trains. Or some other random reason. Can't really tell though if they're hard shell OTSR.

The pre-drop is early B&M. In fact, it probably should be removed from the B&M Wikipedia page, where it is described as a B&M staple.

Great footage of the testing. Any chance that I could use this for my channel? My idea is basically to use the video in a small area of the screen while I speak about the ride and the excitement that is starting to build up.
Of course with credits to your channel on the video both in text and me saying it.

This coaster sounds pretty loud
It is pleasantly loud. You can hear the roar when the park is quiet, but when the crowds line up it probably won't be noticed that much.

Haha, I agree. To me it is also an corkscrew but since Gröna Lund called it a Flat Spin, I changed. But then there were comments that is actually an Wing over. So I thought it might be best to add them all :- ) And I totally agree on your second statement too - it is a great looking coaster!
