This routine is actually so dreadly hard I had tried it for a week I swear I have never been so hard on myself, it's so exhausting and the end of the day it's just like convincing yourself for the next day I remember that week it still gives me chills. Rest is as much as important when you are a student AND HATS OFF TO KOREAN STUDENTS AND YOU TOO FAYE 😭
actually I am not from Korea but following this routine everysingle day I wake up around 5:00 or 5:30 and sleep around 1:00 or 1:30 and study go to school etc in day I stay at school around 7:30 to 2:00 after that 2 hour of maths class and than self study for 5 or 6 hours
I have been trying this out for quite some time now, it is exhausting!!. The only thing that kept me going is... WATER ! I drank about 3L of water throughout the whole day Key takeaway drink a water No Really, drink a lot of water.
@@airsoftstudio580 legit, even in class when i am about to get sleepy, i would drink a lot of water and suprisingly it does make me stay awake for a while🤣🤣
well you also have one brain which can be taught anything for your lifeime and by doing this though it can impact your mental health you can still learn alot and be healthy
@@phoenix12393you will study for 18hours for a month and for the next six months you will be in mental breakdown, anxiety, stress, depression study but take efficient breaks
If I compare it to German school. I am not sure if Korean schools just suck out the life of you. Or if Germam schools are just chill and slacking of....
@@lucycarlay8547 same with dutch schools, i only have to study like 1-2 hours and i get 80% on a test so if i would ever study for 18 hours i would get 100% on every test for sure
I'm a high school student in South Korea, more specifically Daechi dong, one of the most competitive areas, and the rigorous academic system stresses the hell out of students aged 7 to 17. I've witnessed students studying until 10pm since the age of eight, and this feels wrong. Motivation is important and all, but please remember to have a life. Many friends I've met were so used to this tedious routine that they forgot they even had the right to live a life, have some good rest, and take time for self-care. Some got depression and physical/mental health problems. It feels ironic, even hypocritical, to say this since I'm obsessing over my scores lmao but *college and grades may be important, but it doesn't define your life.* So please, for the love of god, make sure to give yourself time to sleep. Well, gotta get back to studying. Have a wonderful day everyone!
But I have question: why do you guys study so much? Is the program really hard and long ? Or is it the way you are evaluated ? I have a hard time imagining it is very much harder than other high school programs and I looked at the Korean one and it seemed normal so why do you have to spend so much time ? Genuinely curious. Anyways, best of luck to you and hang in there.
@@everlastingideas8625 Well there are several reasons I guess, but first off please keep in mind that even though many students work hard, not all students study like this, obviously. There are students who decides to enjoy life a bit more, but it is evident that the there is a problem with the current education system. hmm... It is true that our curriculum is pretty normal and it's not THAT hard. Sooo what's the problem? I'd like to call out the private education market concerning this matter. We have these 'hagwon's, private after school academies, and they are triggering the insanely overheated competition by creating an atmosphere of competition and anxiety for falling behind. They sort six year old kids into 'level's (based on test scores) and evaluate them since a very young age, which ends up being sort of a way of social stratification among peers. This constant evaluations and examinations the young students face often becomes a toxic motivation for hard work.
@@everlastingideas8625 okay I made that sound too... umm pessimistic lol I can't deny the fact that this system is toxic and overwhelming in some cases, but we do have fun too! We do spend some time realaxing, hanging out in malls, playing sports, and indulging in tteokbokki(a popular snack lol) with our bestest friends, whenever we have time. It's not like our noses are stuck in a book 24/7 hehe, unlike our ''reputation''. As for me, I sort of enjoy the competition to an extent :) That's that, thank you for your kind regards and have a wonderful day! Wish you the best
@@hannahan904 First of all, thank you so much for the explanation and the perspective. Like I said before I was quite curious but I also wanted to understand especially since my line of work has to do with teaching and academia. I think things can get exagerated in the media and of course, I and others have a limited view since we never lived in South Korea before but I am glad that not everyone succumbs to the pressure and that you enjoy the competition (I honestly do too from where I am). About the private sector and Hagwon's influence in this matter, I can see how that happens and it makes perfect sense (It happens in here in France and in Morocco too where the people who attend private schools get ahead easier). Thank you again for the explanations/clarifications and best of luck. Fighting!
This is so relatable LMAO. Currently here in Malaysia...., it's time for the SPM (our national exam). Next year will be my turn to sit for that exam. AHHHHHHH it's kinda...dreadful because if I didn't do well in SPM, I might not be able to go to my desired college. (even though there are other options for foundation) But then, I have to face this anyways. I'm rooting for you to score your Suneung too!
So far I’ve only seen one k-drama portraying the school routine south koreans go through. In the episode the main character went to a convenience store students from an academy nearby usually go to and the lady said “You think the kids eat well since they come from rich families but they come in running at 10pm and eat junk food, instant food. Do you know what they look for when buying drinks? The amount of caffeine. The more the better. It’s hard to see, if that’s how they are now, how will they manage in high school?” I knew it was just a series but it didn’t seem too far from reality. I really respect them.
As a neet aspirants (medical college entrance exam in India). My maximum study capacity is 14 hrs. But average 10-12 hrs. Korean students study vlogs is inspire me alot to study more. Once, I tried 18 hrs study too but that was my first and last😅.. It was too much exhausting.
The amount of effort Faye always put in every video is immeasurable. I love her honesty She is the best advice giver. You always motivate me to Study. Love you Faye 💜
The most I get influenced is mostly by Korean friends I have. They work damnnn hard. 10 hour is just a normal time I even saw someone study 15 hours as well. I just respect them so much for their schedule and hardwork and mostly the attention they have towards studying. Truly they are the best at this
@@trinitym5552you are so right! I also feel average looking these people but I have accepted me as I am. My mental heath took a toll on me studying two months straight for 8 hours. I feel like it depends for me, somedays I can do more and some days less. Now I listen to my mind and body
As a Asian student: almost every country near Chinese do the same : I am a gifted student in Vietnam and I have like 1 hr to sleep in the afternooon and 4 to 5 in the evening since 8 years old.I belive Asian have a quotes kinda like this: sleep 4hr per night and you will pass, sleep 5hr per night and you will fail, and if you fail you will become a beggar.
Bonus : it may not be the school but most of us have to go to private class or self study at home to complete for the best hình school/University because you only have one shot doing the test and get in and choose your school and there is NO job guarantee after university unless you come from the best school. So yeah, hard times, cope or die
The longest i have ever studied is, like 10 hours i guess. And this is an entirely different side of korea that i saw, and honestly, this routine is very exhausting, both physically and mentally. I admire the korean students now, for being so strong and following this routine everyday. I also appreciate you, for trying this. You always do your best, and definitely deserve a pat on back. Can you make a video on how to not get distracted on RUclips, when you actually want to study (watch lecture) from youTube? Lova ya faye ❤
The longest I studied for 12 hours umm it was my exam week so yup I was pretty much anxious but still I tried hahahaha but I literally proud of myself sometime lol.... What the hell I am writing bye.😊😊😂
See if you study like this you might get succes but you will lose your body and as we atleast need 7 hr sleep and if you don't they you may face very hard issue
i always see these korean students studying so much and they're just so admirable. i tried to stick to that routine, once, but i'm a firm believer in prioritizing my health over anything else so i never tried it again 😭 the longest i studied was for my o level history final. i started studying at around 8pm at night, and ended it at 4 am. the exam was in the afternoon so i managed to get a couple hours of sleep, woke up at 7 am. the exam was at 1 pm so i used that remaining bit of time to revise more- except for the last one hour because i simply couldn't anymore :'D
I grew up in Malaysia which had similar education expections - go to school, go to after-school tuition, your entire life is studying. I point blank refused. I did go to school and sometimes school would have mandatory after school extra tuition, but unlike my peers I didn't go to external after school tuition classes. In my final year of secondary school, one of the big exam years, I actually ended up skipping half the class year because I had been diagnosed with depression & panic disorder & was having a hard time with panic attacks and such. I did ok in the exams - not terrible, about 5As on the super crucial subjects, could have done better if I followed my peers. And that's while I took the exam in a medicated haze! But at age 37 now, I can tell you that none of that mattered. It didn't matter for university (both locally and abroad), didn't matter for grad school, didn't matter for career or hobbies or projects or whatever. I'm glad I didn't follow my peers into endless study sessions because while I did find school very stressful and bad for my sanity (for many reasons, not just academic pressure), I think I would have ended up in much the same place now if I went all out and I would have just resented all the time I spent on some exam nobody ever asks about again. It's not worth it. Take care of yourself and live your life.
I always find the differences in study habits between people from different countries so interesting. In the USA this varies a lot depending if the school is private or public and how much funding the school has. Also in the USA extra curricular activities is emphasized just as much as regular classes, and we were taught the more we do the better our resume looks for college. Students are really pushed to join a team or club and volunteer. When I was in high school I woke up at 5 am, caught the bus at 6:45am. School was from 7:15am- 2:35pm. Then band practice was from 4pm-7pm. I would do my homework before band practice or review my notes. I took pretty much all AP classes, so the workload was a lot. I would study from 8pm-10pm. I would get ahead of class on the weekend unless I had a football game or band competition. In college I sort of studied like this video. I would wake up 7 am. Classes were from 8am-4pm. I would study inbetween classes then study from 7pm-1am. Now I'm in grad school and I've become a night owl. 9:30am-6pm doing research in my lab 9pm-3am writing, studying and doing a literature searches. Plus I hold sessions for 1st year pharmacy students struggling in biochemistry twice a week.
The longest I studied was 10 hours a day because it was just one week to my exams and I didn't prepare anything but I would say it paid off as I got very good mark and again it was your videos who designed my schedule. Thanks a lot And because I have been through it can you make a video about preparing for your exam on a small deadline school level. And i have 10 subjects so.... I would be really thankful if you made this video.
The longest period I have ever studied was 21 hours but after it I literally died and I couldn't study for nearly a week I did it for my exam but please no one should ever do it it is so tough for your mental health and for your body as well ... Hello from Russian 16 years old girl! To find you on the internet was a treasure. You're very positive, beautiful, cheerful and hardworking person❤️ I admire you so much🥺 you became for me an older sister, THANK YOU!!!!
as a Korean student, the study method isn't very effective .for me studying 4 hours is enough because it depends what you are writing in your notes, if you write anything the teacher says and not cutting it short into shorter sentences I swear its going to take you hours.but there are times where this method actually works because the material is a lot.
I am currently studying 16 hours a day. Its too exhausting, you can never understand the joy I feel when its sleep time, which is unfortunately less than 4 hours. I appropriate your videos. Lots of LOVE FROM AFRICAN STUDENTS ❤
10 hours max a day.... I'm 15 n need to study a lot in next 2 years .... So i would try to be consistent and increase it a bit... Hope you help us too 💜💜❣️
The most I studies was last winters in my winter break in January for my exams after that After 2 or 3 days of doing it continuously I did felt productive but NOT AT GOOD FOR HEALTH!! My neck was at danger of cervical.... And Faye you are doing an amazing work. Helping + entertaining us at the same time... And you will definitely be a scientist someday!!! Ik
I am not a Korean student but this is what I am going through every day . My life has become hectic and I am really fighting with my mental health and studies , Well not only me but alot of Indian 12 th grade science stream students are also going through this . Although it's hard , I have to go through it for the sake of my future and my dream to achieve . So fighting ✊✊✌️
I'm a Biomedical Engineering student and here in Italy you sometimes have to do an entire course by yourself since the professors don't cover what's in the exam....so sometime I have to study for many hours every day for months: this is why I think I can give you some tips to make this routine really work: The first mistake you made was starting at 10 pm, then going home to have dinner and returning to the library...this way it won't work and you'll just want to get over the afternoon and evening sessions. In my personal experience, if you don't start earlier (like at 8.30 even if the korean routine seems to start at 10), and don't eat dinner later in the evening, you will feel very tired and drowsy for the night study session; also, you need to take some breaks to walk around and wake yourself up for a few minutes every hour or so. I wake up at 6-6.30, leave home at 7.20 to catch the bus for uni and then my lessons start between 8.00 and 8.30 pm and we only get a 15 min break for a coffee before endind the lessons at 1 pm (so you need to have breakfast before you leave home or before the lessons start, you are not allowed to eat or drink in class) then we have lunch till 2-2.30 pm and classes start again at 3 pm till 7 or 7.30....if you are lucky you don't have lessons in the afternoon and you can study till 7.30 pm: anyways, you should get another coffee break and a small walk in the afternoon and study till the university closes at 7.45. If I don't have classes, I keep the same routine, if you stop it's super easy to get used to a less demanding schedule. When I get home I do my gym routine 3 times a week, if not I clean or do the laundry, do homework or copy my notes till I have dinner about 8.30-9 pm, then study till midnight with a break to take a bath/shower before going to bed.
Hey Faye, I gotta tell you this! So it was around time when I was having my board exams and I seriously lacked motivation, Like you have exam in a few days and you're lying on bed, regretting your existence. So that time your video came out "lazy but trying". I commented thanks for this video (you replied to it 😭❤) coz that really helped me a lot and My results came out recently! 82 % without any coaching and Parental support (I mean they were busy during ny boards and couldn't help me out) So I Gotta thank You for this Little achievement if mineee! THANKS A LOTTTT! LOVE, India
Omg I admire those student that can study almost 18 hours! I might passed out if I try this😂 Btw your videos always become my daily dose of motivation THANKSSS FAYE💜😭
I am not a Korean student but I am a person who went from studying 3-4 hrs a day max to having a daily goal of 12 hrs . Here is what I noticed after studying more : [For context I am a senior in high-school and I need to work my butt off this year because my college degree depends on my grade so this year is esp hard but its almost over now ] Negatives : 1- my health has worsend Stress has been a constant life hindrance for me but esp this year it is unbearable and I used to get sick like once a year . However this year I got sick like 8 times in the last 7 months + constant abdominal pain 2-not feeling like what you are doing is enough As I said I studied 3 hrs max before but now when I study 8 hrs I feel like a failure 3- abandoned all my hobbies I love reading and cycling its been so long. 4-cant freaking wait till I get to summer break . It will be so awesome Positives : [they do exist ] 1-more disciplined I actually got to my 12 hr goal before even though I thought it was impossible but I did it . 2- it becomes easier with time You really don't feel it anymore which contributes to negative number 2 but oh well . 3- can't freaking wait for summer break 😊.[in 1 month]
I'm an Indian student in grade 10 and as of now, my usual study routine lasts for up to 15 hours- 10 hrs in school, 5 at home. the longest was about 20 hours I think, this went on for about a week during my 9th grade finals
I absolutely love your study vlogs. I also went to college to become a scientist but during the summer I’m trying to learn new languages (Japanese right now) so I would LOVE to try this routine with you! Thanks for always staying so innovative with your studying. It motivates me to push myself more too ☺️
major respect to Korean students. I'm not sure how you do it every single day because I have only managed to do such a schedule for a few days. The latest I've stayed up working is like 5am but usually I face immediate consequences. Please take care of yourself and good luck to you guys!!
The longest I 've studied for was like 16 hours because of my exams! I felt that it's better to just study for 10 hours a day and taking a proper rest is very necessary to remember what I 've studied!😊
I think that study technique was really hard! Just by seeing it😂. Answering the question: the longest time I studied in my life is when I was studying for mathematics, I started at 10 am and finished at 4 am( of course I took breaks including lunch and dinner) and the next day was this math exam so I was _pretty_ tired.
2nd. Hello Faye! Edit:In India a lot of schools in south states follow the similar system(10-14 hours of school). And they also give us extra assignments that literally take like eternity to complete 😭
We have that in North too like in middle school i was off to school at 6:30 am and came home at around 3 pm it was really exhausting, plus all the homeworks which at least take 3 hours to complete and then some other things like taking notes reading ahhh it was such a experience..
I'm bulgarian and studying this much is actually a must for me. Every school year we have two semesters. In the first semester we start at 7.30 am, end school at 13.30 with no lunch break, go home and study till 20.30.
Once i started studying at 8 am in the morning and studied till 10 pm at night and only took a 1 hour break in between i think that's the longest i have ever studied , oh and loved the video as always and you are totally right , we need to give ourselves rest and time , it's really important otherwise you literally end up burned out because i have experienced it a lot of time and i don't want anyone else to experience it so good luck with your studies , stay focused , healthy and remember to take breaks ❣️
Loved this video and yeah you're right, our body and health matters the most. Just remind yourself that you deserve enough rest for working hard. It's important to have the balance. Take care faye and everyone 😊🥰
I have always been inspired by Koreans. It inspires me so much to think that if Koreans the same age as me can work so hard i can too. I'm Indian and am studying to become a doctor. It's not easy but I'll get through it. PS : I'm early today so I wanna say that you so much Faye . Your tips and guidelines saved my boards results ( i got 97 Percent ). I follow all your techniques even now and they help immensely ❤️
I only have 12 days left for my final exams and I'm really late . I only started yesterday , I can't study for more than two or three hours, so I'm going to try this Korean study routine . Good luck to all students ❤️✊
I'm LIVING for their dedication! Really appreciate people who are so serious towards their goals. But these study methods are not very healthy and I hope they try to be as refreshed as can be during these extreme studying sessions.
As an highschool student in india The longest i have studied for is 13 hours during night cause i had an competitive exam. But that study session really paid off cause i ranked 13th in that exam which really makes me happy and i am proud of my self
I tried this and it's so exhausting! At the end of the day I also kept looking at the time waiting for the day to end. Hats off to the korean students who go through this everyday!
Try indian study routine 8.30 to 1.15 school hours then After school an student has to study 3-6 hours and ya it is almost 8 hours of study and some students goes to their tutions which is for 2 hours so app. 10 hours of study
i tried this for like 1 day and its actually very tiring but also a bit effective but if ur planning to do this for the rest of ur school life...its not healthy like, i missed my phone
Wanna say it Faye! you are amazing!! l literally won't be able to study for more than 4 hours in a day. Hats off to you and Korean students. Love you my motivation!
the longest i have studied is 15 hours 20 minutes, but i did it only for a day tho and i was never able to do it again because i didn't try again. you made me realize everything's in my hand, my thoughts, my brain. if i decide to do it, i can do it. is a lesson you taught me thank you very much.>3
As a Turkish student I want to tell about our high school system (especially about my school). At the end of the high school you should take an exam named YKS to go to universities in here. So every Turkish student starts to prepare this exam at the beginning of freshman year. Our schools generally starts at 9 am and ends at 5 pm for most schools but for private schools especially for my school it’s started at 9 am and ends at 9 pm. we don’t have extracurricular activities in 11 and 12th grade. Last two years we choose our area for study (ex: math and science or math and social sciences...) my area is math and science so I learn only four (math biology chemistry and physics) subjects in 12 hours
I am from Pakistan and literally this is the hardest routine I ever had. Normally I used to study atleast 14 - 15 hours a day, with different sessions but believe me even if you make your mind to do this, you can't do it until you have a little motivation. I am a seventh grader but still I used to study some thing like I have to have to pass an entry test, but sometimes people around us don't see our hard work, or the early mornings and late nights and when it pays off they say it was luck, so sometimes our own mind bow us down that if we are willing to do it we aren't able to do it.
Ngl bestie but this exactly what my routine looks like and I was unknowingly following korean study routine and now knowingly 😂. But trust me I've never get exhausted!! Ik it's unbelievable but it is what it is🙌!!
I used to apply korean style at Exams days because I had to as I was a cramming student and it is not something to be proud of honestly. Rest is important. Other wise we would burn out. Thanks fay for the nice video.
I study usually 20 hours daily using Korean study routine and techniques but I always make time for power naps and rest I usually exercise and sleep ten times earlier and wake up at 3 am so yeah i am a bit smart
I never miss Faye's new upload. They always cheer me up and motivate me and it's just amazing to see how much effort and time she gives to make these great motivational content for us. Thank you, Faye!
the longest I have studied for was just yesterday...i had a maths exam and i literally started studying at 11:00 am and studied the whole day and the whole night.....like from 11:00 am to 6:00 am in the next morning....well it was worth it though...but after the exam i was dying......and i slept the whole day sleeping then lmao...anyway...i really love the fact tht u said we should live our life....thanku for reminding me this...love u girl
I really appreciate your effort and this video fayee cuz I too know how hard it is to study for such long hours. I remember I studied for 19 HOURS EVERYDAY FOR A WEEK for a national enterance exam. It did really pay off very well but I was not able to feel my self healthy and fresh. I had to take a couple or three days rest after my exam to recover myself because my body was unable to take such a short duration of sleep for 7 days straight. You need strong determination and will power to sit for such long hours to study. I can advice you to study for 12-15 hours in the days very close to your exams and only for very short days and do make sure you get enough sleep. Unless your body supports you can't do anything. Listen to your body and if it feels the pain then just let the schedule loose and give yourself some rest. I appreciate every students ho sits for such a long time to study and if you want to make it a habit then take it slow. You can increase studying 1hr more every week from your usual schedule and make it your habit everyday. I am really glad to see you trying it and share your opinions fayee✨ Remember guys take it slow and listen to your body 👍
I really admire Korean students petience and energy. And also I really really enjoyed the video. The longest I've studied is 12 hours. It was tbh pretty tiring and I felt so exhausted. But one thing I kept in my mind is that I will have to do this and just for me...
okay so i normally dont study loong hours per day since i feel I'm better off with also indulging in other stuff that i like, so its not much but the longest I've ever studied was probably 9-10 hrs a day before an exam with sessions of 2hrs each and 10 min break between each session to fill my tummy. u inspire me a lot , keep up the good work!!!
It's similar in Iraq, I have to study for long hours, and if I study for less than 10 hours, some may consider you a failure, and you are treated on the basis of the grades you get, if your average is less than 97, you can't even enter the pharmacy college, but it can be with private universities, literally, the huge curriculum and tight time are all very difficult
I'm a student from India and I studied for 14-15hrs last year as I was a 10th grader. our school will begin at 8.00am and end at 6.00pm and I'll go for math tution directly from school( as I was weak in math) and return home at 8.00pm. In these hours, I had no time for self study, so I will study from 9.00pm to 1.00pm. I'm felling really proud of my past self :)
I really love how you involve yourself to give us an awesome content which really helps all the students here. Here is a very great thank you for becoming a fairy who solves all our problems 💐🌺
I am from india... in our country medico aspirants do a lot of hard work... My routine is - 5 to 9.30 am physics 10.30 to 1.30pm biology 2 to 5pm chemistry 6 to 10pm revision 🔥😰😣❤️
@@gabrielalmeida6085 this personally depend on the individual. Generally most medico aspirant take a drop year where they have a 15 hour schedule. So a 15 min meditation some do in morning. Or a 10 min walk.
I tried this routine last week and I've never felt more productive!! I completed all of my tasks by 12pm & I had time for myself as well. I just have to fix my sleeping schedule, I had a productive day only because I had enough sleep😭
"You will have many exams in your life but you only have one body , it's not worth sacrificing your health..."... Yes Faye...I wholeheartedly appreciate your work...
Hey Faye! You are awesome as always🥰🥰. Love you lots❤❤. Hope you are doing fine. Not the longest routine but for one my college exams i studied from 9:00pm to 4:00am, like 7 hours and slept for 2 and 1/2 hours. This might not be so great for everyone reading this comment, but i feel like i achieved an olympics medal 😂😂
I am Korean and I actually enjoy studying hard. It keeps me motivated. I always need to work hard.our long journey to sats starting from preschool is incredibly tough but it definitely helps us to become better person. So don’t judge our educational system based on this single video.
@Heyn-Learn I do judge your educational system very negatively cause it's unhealthy (for both physical and mental health) . I'm talking here about Koreans health long term. Scientific studies showed that humans need at least between 7 and 8 hours of sleep a night and that studying 10 hours or more a day is basically useless as our brain can stay productive (optimal memory) for only 1 or 2 hours a day. Let's say you study 12 hours. I study 2 hours. 2 days later we both have an exam : i can guarantee you we will get about the same results. Why ? Cause I will remember 100% of those 2 hours while you will remember about 20% of your 12 hours. The difference between you and me is that I slept enough when I was a kid (grew a bigger and healthier brain because of this) but you lacked of sleep everyday while growing up. And guess what ? In Danemark we work only 30 hours a week. Are we poor in Danemark? Are we a third world country? Are we lazy ? No ! We study / don't work a lot but we do it better than Koreans. Again : I will do what you do 10 times faster cause I slept enough last night and my focus is much better than yours. I will go to my office at 8am and come back home at 4pm. And have lots of free time with my family and my kids while you will have no life coming back from work at 8pm. Just think about it. @@exactly1176 true. Couldn’t agree more. It’s basically a system that encourages students to fear failure and put their health beside. Many of my friends dropped out after first exam to study all day for korean sat. My dad comes home after 11 pm cause he has leftover works. This is very unhealthy culture and it has to change But I’m inside the system and there’s not much thing I can do. So… I’m trying to enjoy it. It’s good to see someone putting student’s health first.
8:25 She said she slept 8 hrs.....Damnnn I wish I have that much time to sleep 😭 I am a high school med student in India and here usually med students take max 6 hrs sleep Personally for me as well it is 6 hrs max but if I have a lot of work it can become just 2 or 2.5 hrs sleep as well 😭 It's just coffee me and studies 😅
i tried this routine for like one month or smth and i have never been more exhausted IN MY LIFE. and yh it is true that this routine sucks the energy out your body.. HATS OFF TO FAYE for trying out this routine. and yes the dreaded "yaja" its like an everyday thing for me. but it rlly makes me feel more accomplished.😝

Tip i tried this ever on my science test in first term first semester. after studying make yourself a mini quiz or ask your famliy memebers , friends . Then if you get a question wrong try keep studying that topic until you can master it . hope it helps😊

Right??? The repetition is what makes it so hard
Like doing it for one day can be a fun little challenge, but everyday? Omg no 🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️

@@everlastingideas8625 okay I made that sound too... umm pessimistic lol
I can't deny the fact that this system is toxic and overwhelming in some cases, but we do have fun too! We do spend some time realaxing, hanging out in malls, playing sports, and indulging in tteokbokki(a popular snack lol) with our bestest friends, whenever we have time. It's not like our noses are stuck in a book 24/7 hehe, unlike our ''reputation''. As for me, I sort of enjoy the competition to an extent :)
That's that, thank you for your kind regards and have a wonderful day!
(even though there are other options for foundation)
But then, I have to face this anyways. I'm rooting for you to score your Suneung too!
So far I’ve only seen one k-drama portraying the school routine south koreans go through. In the episode the main character went to a convenience store students from an academy nearby usually go to and the lady said
“You think the kids eat well since they come from rich families but they come in running at 10pm and eat junk food, instant food. Do you know what they look for when buying drinks? The amount of caffeine. The more the better. It’s hard to see, if that’s how they are now, how will they manage in high school?”

i always see these korean students studying so much and they're just so admirable. i tried to stick to that routine, once, but i'm a firm believer in prioritizing my health over anything else so i never tried it again 😭 the longest i studied was for my o level history final. i started studying at around 8pm at night, and ended it at 4 am. the exam was in the afternoon so i managed to get a couple hours of sleep, woke up at 7 am.
the exam was at 1 pm so i used that remaining bit of time to revise more- except for the last one hour because i simply couldn't anymore :'D
its good that you rested right before your exam~
sometimes studying to much and stressing yourself out will do more harm than good~ Take care of yourself 💞
I had the same but I only slept 45 minutes, next day I was so dead I can’t concentrate and had pain in my brain
Plus I hold sessions for 1st year pharmacy students struggling in biochemistry twice a week.
too much work!!
The longest I studied was 10 hours a day because it was just one week to my exams and I didn't prepare anything but I would say it paid off as I got very good mark and again it was your videos who designed my schedule. Thanks a lot
And because I have been through it can you make a video about preparing for your exam on a small deadline school level. And i have 10 subjects so.... I would be really thankful if you made this video.

My life has become hectic and I am really fighting with my mental health and studies , Well not only me but alot of Indian 12 th grade science stream students are also going through this . Although it's hard , I have to go through it for the sake of my future and my dream to achieve . So fighting ✊✊✌️
I'm a Biomedical Engineering student and here in Italy you sometimes have to do an entire course by yourself since the professors don't cover what's in the exam....so sometime I have to study for many hours every day for months: this is why I think I can give you some tips to make this routine really work:
The first mistake you made was starting at 10 pm, then going home to have dinner and returning to the library...this way it won't work and you'll just want to get over the afternoon and evening sessions.

I haven’t started watching it yet but I’m excited to see what Faye thinks about Korean studying 🫶
I am not a Korean student but I am a person who went from studying 3-4 hrs a day max to having a daily goal of 12 hrs .
Here is what I noticed after studying more :
[For context I am a senior in high-school and I need to work my butt off this year because my college degree depends on my grade so this year is esp hard but its almost over now ]
Negatives :
1- my health has worsend
Stress has been a constant life hindrance for me but esp this year it is unbearable and I used to get sick like once a year . However this year I got sick like 8 times in the last 7 months + constant abdominal pain
2-not feeling like what you are doing is enough
As I said I studied 3 hrs max before but now when I study 8 hrs I feel like a failure
3- abandoned all my hobbies
I love reading and cycling its been so long.
4-cant freaking wait till I get to summer break .
It will be so awesome
Positives : [they do exist ]
1-more disciplined
I actually got to my 12 hr goal before even though I thought it was impossible but I did it .
2- it becomes easier with time
You really don't feel it anymore which contributes to negative number 2 but oh well .
3- can't freaking wait for summer break 😊.[in 1 month]

I only have 12 days left for my final exams and I'm really late . I only started yesterday , I can't study for more than two or three hours, so I'm going to try this Korean study routine . Good luck to all students ❤️✊
بشري يا ابتسام؟؟
I'm LIVING for their dedication! Really appreciate people who are so serious towards their goals. But these study methods are not very healthy and I hope they try to be as refreshed as can be during these extreme studying sessions.
As an highschool student in india The longest i have studied for is 13 hours during night cause i had an competitive exam. But that study session really paid off cause i ranked 13th in that exam which really makes me happy and i am proud of my self
I tried this and it's so exhausting! At the end of the day I also kept looking at the time waiting for the day to end. Hats off to the korean students who go through this everyday!
I've been trying to study for long hours since forever... Thank u faye... This is such a motivation❤❤❤
Try indian study routine
8.30 to 1.15 school hours then
After school an student has to study 3-6 hours and ya it is almost 8 hours of study and some students goes to their tutions which is for 2 hours so app. 10 hours of study
i tried this for like 1 day
and its actually very tiring but also a bit effective
but if ur planning to do this for the rest of ur school life...its not healthy like, i missed my phone
As you can understand my mother tongue is not English so if I tell anything wrong i am so sorry and you can correct me whenever you want
This is exactly what I wanted then she posted this . THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤
The longest I've ever studied was 30min... Felt like an eternity. 🤧
The longest I have Studied 12 hours I think. By the way , I love your videos sister 💜️ Lots of love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Wow i had so much fun lol thank you faye for cheering us to study for this long :)
I never miss Faye's new upload. They always cheer me up and motivate me and it's just amazing to see how much effort and time she gives to make these great motivational content for us. Thank you, Faye!
Oh my goddd!! Finally a vlog from faye again!! I just love watching your stuff! It's so inspiring and the way in which you talk! Just love it!! 😍 😍
I have studied for 15hours by sleeping 6hours and doing other things like eating and resting for 3hours.
It went pretty good 😊
the longest I have studied for was just yesterday...i had a maths exam and i literally started studying at 11:00 am and studied the whole day and the whole night.....like from 11:00 am to 6:00 am in the next morning....well it was worth it though...but after the exam i was dying......and i slept the whole day sleeping then lmao...anyway...i really love the fact tht u said we should live our life....thanku for reminding me this...love u girl
I am really glad to see you trying it and share your opinions fayee✨
Remember guys take it slow and listen to your body 👍
I really admire and appreciate about you fayee . It's really amazing
I really admire Korean students petience and energy. And also I really really enjoyed the video.
The longest I've studied is 12 hours. It was tbh pretty tiring and I felt so exhausted. But one thing I kept in my mind is that I will have to do this and just for me...
Can we just talk about how this vid has so much inspiration and study tips than most study tip videos
okay so i normally dont study loong hours per day since i feel I'm better off with also indulging in other stuff that i like, so its not much but the longest I've ever studied was probably 9-10 hrs a day before an exam with sessions of 2hrs each and 10 min break between each session to fill my tummy. u inspire me a lot , keep up the good work!!!
"Domestication your boyfriends good my queen" - Faye, 2022, while following the Korean study routine
AHAHHAHAA
What did I write AHHG
My exams are LITRELLY tomorrow and i cant get myself to study it's really hard
Love the content faye
5:58 lol I was like" chemical kinetics of class 12th in India and you studying it in University."
Here is a very great thank you for becoming a fairy who solves all our problems
💐🌺
Hi Faye! I love your videos. Can you do video on how to get back into school schedule after summer break and vacations? ❤️
I am from india... in our country medico aspirants do a lot of hard work... My routine is - 5 to 9.30 am physics
10.30 to 1.30pm biology
2 to 5pm chemistry
6 to 10pm revision 🔥😰😣❤️
From monday to friday?
@@gabrielalmeida6085 no . monday to sunday 🥲
@@gabrielalmeida6085😂whole year till the last day before exam.
@@geetanjalidas3417 but no breaks neither some exercise?
@@gabrielalmeida6085 this personally depend on the individual. Generally most medico aspirant take a drop year where they have a 15 hour schedule. So a 15 min meditation some do in morning. Or a 10 min walk.
I tried this routine last week and I've never felt more productive!! I completed all of my tasks by 12pm & I had time for myself as well. I just have to fix my sleeping schedule, I had a productive day only because I had enough sleep😭
Sacrifices and hardwork are aways worth it! Hats off to korean high schoolers!
I (teen) barely think and stay awake with 7 hours of sleep. How does their brain work with 5 hours sleep?!?!?!?!?!?!
excellent vlog! being rested is a great reminder for students 😊+ thanks for using my song 'Destiny (Dasiwa 다시와)' 🙌🏻
Love your music~~
So happy you enjoyed the vlog~
Bless you for being one of the only study bloggers I see still wearing a mask on transport and indoors. Truly. 💕

He's smart 🤩
"No" 🤣 omg the cut HAHAHAHAHA
AHAHAHHAA
He did me dirtyyyy
I am Korean and I actually enjoy studying hard. It keeps me motivated. I always need to work hard.our long journey to sats starting from preschool is incredibly tough but it definitely helps us to become better person. So don’t judge our educational system based on this single video.
That's pretty cool and I wish you luck, but this style of studying is def not suited for me. I hope you're doing well though.
@@superkhangfn8593 I understand. This type of studying is not for everyone. Students all have different learning methods and that's normal.
Edit : and don't get me started with the higher chances of getting heart disease / cancer long term cause of your lack of sleep.
@@exactly1176 true. Couldn’t agree more. It’s basically a system that encourages students to fear failure and put their health beside. Many of my friends dropped out after first exam to study all day for korean sat. My dad comes home after 11 pm cause he has leftover works. This is very unhealthy culture and it has to change
But I’m inside the system and there’s not much thing I can do. So… I’m trying to enjoy it. It’s good to see someone putting student’s health first.
8:25 She said she slept 8 hrs.....Damnnn I wish I have that much time to sleep 😭
I am a high school med student in India and here usually med students take max 6 hrs sleep
Personally for me as well it is 6 hrs max but if I have a lot of work it can become just 2 or 2.5 hrs sleep as well 😭
It's just coffee me and studies 😅
I laughed when you said the 2014 book was old. As a physics student, we use some books from ~1960 XD Your video was amazing!!
i tried this routine for like one month or smth and i have never been more exhausted IN MY LIFE. and yh it is true that this routine sucks the energy out your body.. HATS OFF TO FAYE for trying out this routine. and yes the dreaded "yaja" its like an everyday thing for me. but it rlly makes me feel more accomplished.😝
Hey Faye sis! I watch your videos and I really like those videos.. keep doing it and Thank YuH for this kind of study tips and blogs 😊God Bless you😌
My exams are in two weeks, I have 12 subjects' exams to start preparing for.... 18 hours seems so stressful, I really admire you and every student who does that but I think I will stick to 10-11 hours per day
00:28 this is my inspiration and motivation😆😆
Graduate from China high school. As what I remembered, I study from 7am to 9pm at school and keep going after I go home.I will have a 1 hour study section until 11pm and start what English movie improve English sense until 1 am. Get up at am another morning. We don't drink coffee under 18 years old. So when I see 10 to 10 I feel easy.
Tip
i tried this ever on my science test in first term first semester.
after studying make yourself a mini quiz or ask your famliy memebers , friends . Then if you get a question wrong try keep studying that topic until you can master it .
hope it helps😊
