Did you have to trim the deck lid hinge to fit the snout or just the fiberglass brace? And did you reinforce the decklid after cutting? I'm getting ready to reinstall my deck after painting. I have the same IC setup, but ran the hoses through the passenger side rocker panel with copper pipe. Thanks for all your work on Fiero info. Couldn't have built mine without you!
Awesome!!! Just about 2" off the hing Hinge and the inner brace. Top half of hinge. No reinforcement needed really. Short stack does not require cutting however. End of video details exactly where to cut. Thanks for the feedback!
i imagine this would apply for a 2003 bonneville SSEi as well? yes, i still have one of those. i dont drive it in the winter, if i ever did one i would probably get the short stack
it does get hot on a 90 deg day. I haven't run without one for along time nor did I take any measurements before/after. Before the 1/4" spacer though I put on a 1" spacer with no intercooler. It kept the blower warm and not hot to the touch after hard driving. Before the 1" spacer I remember it being too hot to touch.
lol. the butt dyno hasn't been able to tell yet. I haven't really run it much--installed it, took it out for 1 or 2 test drives to do tune a bit, and then it snowed and parked it. I also couldn't really do a proper timing tune, my Knock sensors were going haywire. I am going to take it to a local dyno at some point.
Hey Fiero Austin, your videos are awesome especially this last one. Quick question for you...... My headlights quit working on my 86 Fiero GT. I believe it might be an electrical issue. Any ideas about where to start with the wires ? Keep up the great work 👍
Hey! Thanks for the feedback. There are a number of problems that it could be depending on what is going on. Do the lights still turn on, the motors just don't come up? Is it one side or both? Anyways there are a few elements in the system. There is a control module under the driver's side front fender that could go out, or a relay, or a fuse, or the switch, or the wiring in between. Easiest thing to do first would be making sure you have no blown fuses or relays. I do have a video on rebuilding a motor but it sounds like it's not the same problem to me, check that out here. ruclips.net/video/bHc_NsDhkbs/видео.html
Best would be to post on Pennock's Fiero forum, lots of help over there. 86gt has the gen 1 headlight system I think, all mechanically controlled electronics, so lots to go wrong.
It’s SAD that the Fiero is such a shit stain because I LOVE IT! First car ever in 1993 was an 85 GT then scored an 87 GT but I blew the motor. Regardless! One of my FAVORITE cars EVER owned!

Youre a mad scientist ❤good job my brother
not the first time I've heard that lol. Thanks!!!! More to come.
Man you just blew my mind.... best most well put together fun and informative 3800 sc vidoe on earth.
haha I appreciate it. Check out my other vids. Got a few more ;) ruclips.net/p/PL9MEbquodF3iT4dL8ruvZQL4pabfi1DyA

Welcome!
The P01 and P59 will happily do more than 6 PSI. Start out with the 4.3 tune and treat the coil pack like a distributor.
do you mean flash a p01 and p59 tune onto the 3800's l67 computer or do you mean get a p01 or p59 computer?
i imagine this would apply for a 2003 bonneville SSEi as well? yes, i still have one of those. i dont drive it in the winter, if i ever did one i would probably get the short stack
Yes it would except your cooler mount and line routing would be much simpler!
Man,now i have to do a revision on my 3800sc fiero :p
lol dont you hate that!!
@@FieroAustin Haha i just took off the complete body from my 3800 today. I am going to renew that complete car. I need to redo the 3800 on mine.
@@Thefierofarm oh well then might as well! Dyno test video coming out of mine soon, we will see how it does.
How is the 1/4" phenolic spacer working out. What are the temps of the top of the supercharger after spirited driving?
it does get hot on a 90 deg day. I haven't run without one for along time nor did I take any measurements before/after.
Before the 1/4" spacer though I put on a 1" spacer with no intercooler. It kept the blower warm and not hot to the touch after hard driving. Before the 1" spacer I remember it being too hot to touch.
Be honest, what smells worst, that Teflon sealant on the bolts or used gear oil?
gear oil... teflon wasn't bad!
@@FieroAustin When I removed mine from my LT one, after 20 years, it was some kind of a special smell on those bolts
@@JoeHynes284 Mine were installed only a few years ago, that might explain it!
would this by chance still apply to the 3800 in a 04 gtp?
Yes it would. The front cooler mount and some hose routings would be different. Instructions are included in this kit for it.
Very cool, can you tell a difference?? Iat#'s please!!!

Thanks for the feedback. Was a tough one but hopefully comes in handy!
Nice 👍🏾
Appreciate it man
Gonna rip with a 2.7 pulley! 😯
and 5% overdrive balancer! I wouldn't do that without E85 though. Video coming soon....
I didn't know the 8-rib balancer was overdriven too. Definitely not suitable for stock fueling or stock internals😎@@FieroAustin
@@BassManBobBassCovers yep! 5%. It's like a 2.56" pulley.

lol! I love it too... honestly the concept and layout (after a supercharged engine) is awesome tho
