I don't know anyone who makes locks for a YJ factory half door. I know on my old CJ, I prefer not to have locks, since it's so easy to get into anyway. But we put locks on all our doors now, in part to help keep anyone from stealing the doors.
Hey can you explain to me why my 1989 yj has no locks? And can you tell me how to install locks on them and what I would need? They are factory half steel doors, thanks
Thanks for watching folks! This little video is way more popular than I expected it to be. If you have specific questions that dont' get answered by the video, please let us know. 800-845-3567
Not -precisely- correct. Yes, you can modify TJ uppers, and some people do. But you can get soft uppers designed specifically for a YJ - you just need to make sure you get the proper ones.
I get the details on door strikers a bit discombobulated in my head, but we do make them. Hopefully they're the right type for you. Call our customer support team. 800-845-3567

To run soft uppers, you need to run slightly modified TJ uppers. Search on-line, you will find all the info you need to make them work.
It's a Bestop two piece. We don't sell them anymore.
Im surprised you dont post a link to the top its self.
I borrowed it, and can't remember. But I think it had coils, at least in front. Very custom rig.
Is the red Jeep sprung over? (the lift) I couldn't ever get a good look at it during the video.
Do you guys still sell soft tops for yj’s? 1993 is mine and new to jeeps looking for a soft top
bulldog makes secure half door fiberglass uppers, so there is relevance to knowing how to put locks on half door bottoms
