- Tegan tries to tell a story (about Sara losing her retainer during daycare) to prove that she wasn't the only one that was a total crybaby all of the time, but this doesn't quite work out... "I meant to tell a story about Sara crying, but it just turned into a story about me crying..." hehe..

i love that tegan plays call it off intro, talks and then plays the call it off intro, then stops. and then does it all over again hahaha
I love how like Sara nods her head like 'great you're gonna tell that story, thanks' when Tegan mentions the retainer >
i think it's kind of hilarious that tegan thinks sara looks like alyssa milano, seeing as how they're identical and all. i mean, *i* kind of agree with her and i never have any problem telling them apart... but it's still kind of hilarious when you think about it.
hahaha... so true. i am completely baffled by people who don't find their stories absolutely fascinating and hilarious. i think my favorite tangent-ridden story is the joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat one from last august. you should go check it out if you like tangents! hahaha... (there are two parts to it, i hadn't figured out how to splice video together yet...)
ah, it's okay, i think most of us have our own childhood trauma. they just get the opportunity to talk about theirs a lot more often than the rest of us do, even the ones WITH therapists (i mean, who gets to talk through their own personal issues EVERY NIGHT?) lol... and i think i remember a good amount of my childhood, it would just take a little thought to dredge it up...
hahaha... by how traumatized they still seem by some of the things that happened to them as kids, they probably are still reliving it as if it was yesterday. but no kidding... i definitely don't remember a whole lot from that period of my life... ;)
hahaha... seriously, i should film the audience sometime when she's talking. that would be pretty hilarious too. and i generally hope that they can't see me grinning like an idiot, but i usually think they can...
yep yep... they were both awesome! and i recognized the second penguin and figured the same person must be there... either that or there was a copycat in the crowd!
@stefjula ah. yeah, you're not going to get to be this close, they don't let people up to the stage anymore. but you'll still be pretty damn close. :)
LOL... just search for "dreamcoat" and "tegan" and they will be the only two videos that pop up! they're from southpaw in brooklyn last august. :)
@stefjula no, this was back when everyone was allowed to leave their seats and go up to the stage. not anymore.

That was my penguin too!! I was hoping that Pittsburgh (penguins) would play Montreal in the hockey playoffs, but sadly Montreal lost to Philly. That was why I decided to throw penguins on stage - in support of the Penguins hockey team.
Anyway, I threw a penguin on stage in PGH that said "I [heart] Sara" and then in NYC I threw one on stage that said "I [heart] Tegan." We used little felt hearts on their chests to be reminiscent of the So Jealous album.
So, I guess you went to both shows?
oh god...daycare stories. im lactose intolerant and my sister was a vegetarian so it felt like we couldnt eat anything and they would punish you if you didnt finish your food. my mom lost her shit at the daycare authorities for punishing us.

OMFG THIS WAS SOOOOOOOOOOO FREAKING FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!! i would have to puase like every minute cuz i would start laughing my ass off and then thinking i would be ready to start again, tegan cracked another joke!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahhaahahha i love these girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear just the way Tegan tells stories it feels like I should be sitting on the floor sipping kool aid or something.....I just love it. If you moved the camera to orch row N on the left you would see me smiling like a madman..
seriously these two are like the funniest chicks ive ever met!! or i guess heard of seeing as i havent met them yet....i could accidentlly go like 5 hours watching them talk and not even realize it

It was a ridiculously fun show! At least once a day, I logon to youtube just to watch a video of them. It makes me happy and makes the workday easier. Tegan and Sara are my happy place!

I thought I was the only child with anxiety and crying issues I cried in kindergarten on picture day just because my mom left and couldn't take a picture with me like seriously the parent is not suppose to be in the photo!!! I totally try to switch rules back then I was so attach to my mom I was like her shadow Lol.
