Have you seen 'Calvary'? Chris O'Dowd is amazing in it. Be warned: it's not a comedy and it's heart-rending but it shows you how good an actor he is. Brendan Gleeson is also amazing.
Chris O'Dowd was excellent as a guest star (opposite Katherine Parkinson) on DOC MARTIN. It was the season finale of the second season (I think) that was on around the same time as THE IT CROWD. Also: Don't forget the three season of the show MOONE BOY. O'Dowd was the creator, writer and star. It's kind of a "Derry Girls" show before Derry Girls.
I think the fire was caused by someone who was lied to with that same story, “Parents died in a fire at Sea Parks.” And the person was so obsessed wether the scenario was even possible, they went to a Sea Parks to test it and made it happen for real, hence Roy’s girlfriend being orphaned
Why was there a gap of nearly 20 years between the last episode of friends and the reunion? There was a lot of fan upset about it ending and they didn't shut up about it untll that extra episode finished, which ended up being nothing more than a montage of previous episodes put into one
