Get some J trim and make a proper box for the siding around that outside vent. That install will leak water into your walls no problem. Just look at the gaps around that vent cover. They didn't even use silicone.

Amazing. No moisture sealing the wall that is now open to the elements. No sealing around the exterior vent. Terrifying.

Been looking for something like this for my garage bar. This will help eliminate the cigar smoke in the winter when the door is closed. Thanks.

Can you extend the flex duct if need be? Or is there a limitation on how long it can be?

The flex duct included with the vent is 10". If a longer flex duct is needed, reach out to Jake at tnvc.sales@gmail.com and we'll figure out a solution.

If it a garage why wouldn't you install an exhaust vent in the ceiling and just let it vent into the attic?

Garage fumes into an attic, potentially shared with the rest of the house... instant code violation

Venting the garage into the attic disrupts the roof venting system installed with your roof putting more moisture into your attic then the system was designed to handle. It will start dry rot in your sheathing and possibly mildew or mold.
