Cousin, nursing school is hard. I went at age 18 and even now, 11 years into the field, I say nursing school is one of the hardest things Ive done in my life. I was a good student and found a way to juggle everything and still found myself seeing the tutor 4-5 times per week. 🤣 I went to the tutor so much I became the first peer nursing tutor ever at my college 😂 you were not alone! It's a learning process. It sounds like you were learning what you needed to be a successful student and thats what college in general is! about Here are your flowers ! Well done, you go girl!💐 to all my future nurses, we need you and you got this!!!
Thank you so much. I am currently in the LVN/LPN to RN program. This has been the hardest 10 months of my life. I had a break down moment last Monday and I was ready to quit. My mom told me, “You prayed for this and God is not going to bring you this far for you to fail.” Watching you video just gave me confirmation. I have 7 weeks left til graduation. I know that God has me in His hands. Thank you again.
I was looking at Ytube and came across you. I am almost 67 years old. For 43 years, I worked as an LPN. My desire is to get my RN degree. I got through the first semester with a 3.75 average. Long story short.... I was also dismiss from school for not passing or meeting the minimum requirement of this exist exam. I was only 10 points off. I was told re-apply again. I applied again but now my school came up with new terms and is telling me, I have to repeat all those classes again prior to taking rest of my class. I have only 3 class left to graduate. They would not allow me to take rest of my classes and would not let me graduate. Just past year I had taken all those courses, which they are telling me to repeat and now I have a 40K debt taking those classes. I am in my mid 40s as well. I never had debt before I had decide to pursue this nursing school. This is something I don't comprehend and it is really mind-boggling. It is just insane!

Hello, my name is Destinee. I am 22 years old. I recently recently dropped out of the LVN program in August. One point I was like it’s not the end of all it’s gonna be all right but then today as I’ll drive home from work I started crying. I would’ve graduated January. Hi sis, happy new year to you! I’m 36 and I’m thinking is it possible to get materials to study as though I’m a student prior to me starting. I’m considering the LPN, and this story is encouraging.

Long comment alert! I am turning 48 this week. I have been trying to attend nursing school for years! I was raising kids and could only take one or two classes at a time. I FINALLY got my kids raised and going well so I decided to go back to school. Long story short, I was accepted in an ADN program. I changed my whole life to attend this program. Moved to another city, living with someone at my big age so that I could work part time and attend school. I should be graduating this may, but last semester (my third) semester, I was not successfull on the ATI which brought my overall grade down to 76, 78 is required. I was devastated! To go from deans list to failing, broke me. My instructor called me to her office and offered me the opportunity to retake the class. Im so embarrassed, most of my family doesn't even know I went back to school, but still.... Being in class surrounded by kids, most of whom are younger than my own kids, really did something to me mentally. I felt inadequate, or slow. As I was looking for something to listen to while I do my hair for the 2nd first day of level 3 tomorrow, I came across this video. Im still so sad and anxious about going back tomorrow, but this video gave me so much encouragement. Thank you for sharing your story.
Nursing school is obviously not linear to actual practice in nursing but the complexity, pressure, amount of work, and the tether between multiple things demanding your attention in nursing school is comparable to what it *feels* like to be a nurse. I've been an RN since I finished my ASN program at 19, now having 15 years in the game. Nursing is HARD, but perfect for the right person. If you love it, didn't mind the stress of school, you will find a rewarding ending
I just got fired from my New Grad RN Residency. Tomorrow I have an interview with a home health agency. I’ve learned that setbacks happened and God has different plans.
I just failed Peds and it crushed my soul! Peds took me thru the trenches! Worse part for me is that it caused my graduation date to be pushed back. Instead of graduating May 2025, it’ll be Dec 2025.
I’m part of the under 40 crew but I really appreciate this! I’ve been in your shoes and this was the push I needed especially asking for help. 🩷 Thank YOU

Awww you are on the right track cuz. We are challenged when we are doing something right! You got this!!

God will make more people like you .Am I n my 50s and i want to go back
Make those moves!! You got this
I just got fired from my New Grad RN Residency. Tomorrow I have an interview with a home health agency. I’ve learned that setbacks happened and God has different plans.
That’s so true. I’m sorry that happened but like you said there are better plans ahead.❤️
How were you able to get back in once you failed out , did you have to retake classes?
I went to another program
I just failed Peds and it crushed my soul! Peds took me thru the trenches! Worse part for me is that it caused my graduation date to be pushed back. Instead of graduating May 2025, it’ll be Dec 2025.
Yeah peds was a challenge for me as well ughhh! Your still in the running for graduation so that’s good
@@Slimm_Sheedah1it may have slowed me down but it won’t stop me! ❤
Nice video. So are you a nurse now? You passed the nclex, that's why I'm asking
Yes I am!

I’m part of the under 40 crew but I really appreciate this! I’ve been in your shoes and this was the push I needed especially asking for help. 🩷 Thank YOU
