Cousin, nursing school is hard. I went at age 18 and even now, 11 years into the field, I say nursing school is one of the hardest things Ive done in my life. I was a good student and found a way to juggle everything and still found myself seeing the tutor 4-5 times per week. 🤣 I went to the tutor so much I became the first peer nursing tutor ever at my college 😂 you were not alone! It's a learning process. It sounds like you were learning what you needed to be a successful student and thats what college in general is! about Here are your flowers ! Well done, you go girl!💐 to all my future nurses, we need you and you got this!!!

Thank you so much. I am currently in the LVN/LPN to RN program. This has been the hardest 10 months of my life. I had a break down moment last Monday and I was ready to quit. My mom told me, “You prayed for this and God is not going to bring you this far for you to fail.” Watching you video just gave me confirmation. I have 7 weeks left til graduation. I know that God has me in His hands. Thank you again.

I was looking at Ytube and came across you. I am almost 67 years old. For 43 years, I worked as an LPN. My desire is to get my RN degree. I got through the first semester with a 3.75 average. But this was virtual classes. Im registered to take Algebra and Math for the Spring 2025 semester. I pray I can keep going and get my degree before 70 years old. I am going to utilize my resources. The tutoring, extra studying, and so forth. Please keep me in your prayers.

I already have a BS and a Masters in Education, but I am still so confused about how to feel about nursing school because I always hear how challenging it is. During my obtaining my BS, I went thru a painful separation and divorce so I felt so accomplished when I walked out done with a high gpa while raising 3 small children. Kudos to you! My story was different. I was also in nursing school and I had passed all of my classes with B, A, and C. Howerever, my school requires the exist test before we can move on to the next semesters. This exist test that my school made us to take was outside of our course. They made this test mandatory and came with terms; without having us pass this test they wouldn't allow us to continue to the next semester or would not let students take the remaining courses. Even though, student have successfully passed their courses. Later at the end of 2024, my school decided to change/remove this exist exam requirement and told students it was going to be replaced with the existing final exam. We will be evaluated by it. Long story short.... I was also dismiss from school for not passing or meeting the minimum requirement of this exist exam. I was only 10 points off. I was told re-apply again. I applied again but now my school came up with new terms and is telling me, I have to repeat all those classes again prior to taking rest of my class. I have only 3 class left to graduate. They would not allow me to take rest of my classes and would not let me graduate. Just past year I had taken all those courses, which they are telling me to repeat and now I have a 40K debt taking those classes. I am in my mid 40s as well. I never had debt before I had decide to pursue this nursing school. This is something I don't comprehend and it is really mind-boggling. It is just insane!

I don't know what to think of this whole situation. I wasn't a bed student. I gave my 100% to all of those courses. I had put lot of time, effort and study hard to pass it. I feel like I am being scammed by this school. Don't really know what to start and what not. Never in my life I had imagine that the institution I had once respected, admire , inspired by and felt proud being part of it , one day that same education institution will become a money making industry rather than a real educational institution. Right now I am just trying process this whole situation. Lets see what future holds for me!

One point I was like it’s not the end of all it’s gonna be all right but then today as I’ll drive home from work I started crying. I would’ve graduated January. I create a vision board, but all types of books and flashcards to help me on my way. I am a certified nursing assistant but I’m going to be honest with you being a CNA is all cool and all but that’s backbreaking services right there. Right now I’m in the CMA program so this will help me in the pharmacology area that I kind of failed in. I will be doing certain things to help me pass nursing school the next go around. Long comment alert! I am turning 48 this week. I have been trying to attend nursing school for years! I was raising kids and could only take one or two classes at a time. I FINALLY got my kids raised and going well so I decided to go back to school. Long story short, I was accepted in an ADN program. I changed my whole life to attend this program. Moved to another city, living with someone at my big age so that I could work part time and attend school. I should be graduating this may, but last semester (my third) semester, I was not successfull on the ATI which brought my overall grade down to 76, 78 is required. I was devastated! To go from deans list to failing, broke me. My instructor called me to her office and offered me the opportunity to retake the class. Im so embarrassed, most of my family doesn't even know I went back to school, but still.... Being in class surrounded by kids, most of whom are younger than my own kids, really did something to me mentally. I felt inadequate, or slow. As I was looking for something to listen to while I do my hair for the 2nd first day of level 3 tomorrow, I came across this video. Im still so sad and anxious about going back tomorrow, but this video gave me so much encouragement. Thank you for sharing your story.

Nursing school is obviously not linear to actual practice in nursing but the complexity, pressure, amount of work, and the tether between multiple things demanding your attention in nursing school is comparable to what it *feels* like to be a nurse. I've been an RN since I finished my ASN program at 19, now having 15 years in the game. Nursing is HARD, but perfect for the right person. If you love it, didn't mind the stress of school, you will find a rewarding ending
