    Thanks! And good job! I’ve done this replacement twice now on my 2005 Sienna. This is by far the BEST video and instructions I’ve found. Concise and to the point. Some people are taking way too many things off the latch and horn assembly. And taking the air filter housing off and the battery out. Also, black zip ties are your friend when aftermarket brackets and hardware are not working. When I put the 2nd radiator in, the zip ties I used on the 1st radiator replacement were still holding strong.

    Really helpful video, thank you very much. One word of advice I took the lower radiator hose off at the thermostat housing and the housing broke it was very brittle plastic. To remove and replace the thermostat housing it was best to take the two bolts from the starter and loosen the starter some to get room to get that housing out.

      No, It's global coolant. All global coolant is borate, and silicate free. I put it in everything.

    Great video, thanks! After watching 'm feeling ready to tackle our family's minivan that was just damaged in a crash. You have a great sense of when detail is needed, and when you can fast forward. The video length is just right, in my humble opinion.

    Thanks, your shit is more real world than the other similar videos. As I do this for a living also, I can identify with everything. I've had to make "special" bushing for all kinds of other cars. Chinesium junk. It's either that or spend 4 times the money, so...

      I would never buy one that cracks every 2-5 years. I’ll never understand why people do that. You had a great radiator from the factory that lasted 10+ years and you’re gonna replace it with something that will crack in just a few years? Why? You’re not getting a “deal” if you have to replace the damn thing over and over. I’ll never understand it.

    Does this engine require the Asian Zerex coolant ?

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  3 года назад +2

      I'm a non believer in specialized coolants, and put global universal coolant in everything. This
      concentrate contains no phosphates, borates, nitrates or silicates, and is good for all makes, and models.

    Wrong way to remove bumper cover, broke the retaining body clip. No need to remove the fan assembly. For an aged van like this, most screws are heavily rusted, did not show how to remove them.

    • @RustBeltAuto

      Yes. Someone already mentioned that. This bumper had been taken off before, and did not know about what was not there.

    Looks like you broke the bumper retainer when you yank the bumper off. There are three tabs there and depressing them with a flat screw driver release the bumper at that point. From the front these tabs are about 1.5 inches 5 5/8 in and 10.5 inches. Those retainers can be had from ebay for less than $20 both sides. FYI

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  3 года назад

      I don't know. This bumper has been off and hit many snow banks and stuff before?

    • @abyssalsoul6216
      @abyssalsoul6216 3 года назад

      @@RustBeltAuto Yeah snow banks would definitely do that. Good thing though is that the bumpers have so many securing points that I don't think they would fall off even if the retainers were not there. One might see a little more of a gap I suppose

    I’ll never understand why people go out and buy the cheapest Chinese piece of crap radiator they can find… that will crack within 5 years- when the original radiator lasted them 10..15..20 years.. I’ll never understand it. Replace it with OEM in the first place it’ll likely outlast the rest of the vehicle. Or.. pay every 2-5 years to replace that Chinese crap. You’re not really getting a deal if you have to replace something cheap over and over and over.

    • @RustBeltAuto
      @RustBeltAuto  3 года назад

      It depends. This one probably was on its 4th radiator. O.E is about 400$. These are about 100.
