As a Parisian, I can guarantee you there's probably less than 5% of locals that go to this bakery. Not taking anything away from Cedric, he does amazing stuff. But Pastry is a COMMODITY in Paris. Any bakery in Paris makes the best croissant any American has ever had and the cost 1-2 euro. Why on earth would go to an instagram influencer doing excess?
@Kevin24. You're the one who lacks understanding, he said what he meant and you know that bc of the following line about street swag... it wasn't about the artistry 😅
Actually I only see clearly 2 Chinese women. Couple in front is Japanese. Presumably, the hordes of Chinese tourists who travel with groups have limited time and are more concerned with brand name goods instead of waiting in line for a new pastry shop. Plus there are many more fancy food places to take photos in that don't have queues.
@@sko1beer It's not about being American, I lived in Paris for 4 years, they share that kind of cookie cause people there are cheap, at the evening majority of people turn off lights and have 1 single bulb on to save money on energy
That chef is phenomenal he loves fruit all his pastries have tons of fresh fruit. You never find in the entire US a cookie with fresh fruit on top. I think it is a great idea.
Ehh, not really. The amount of labor involved and materials jacks the price up. Just the raspberries alone on the cookie would coust like $3-$5, non organic. Expensive, but not really a ripoff. It looks much better than those high end restaurants that just cover everything with butter, caviar, and truffles. That's also labor intensive, but not worth it, imo.
The "gourmet" price tag in the US isn't any better, I spent almost $50 for 3 items at some pastry shop and was thoroughly disappointed... probably would've been double if it was in Paris instead of LA
Call me an idiot, but I would rather spend 20 bucks on this beautiful cookie covered with berries once, than eat a bunch of sugar and calories from 20 regular ass cookies. Cookies about pleasure, not about getting stuffed
