I've been using this method for years with snorkel gear as well. I had a swim coach that used to do a simple mix of 2 parts baby shampoo with 1 part water and would make a big batch in a spray bottle. One spray in each lens and a quick dunk in the pool and you are ready to go!
A different technique: Use a 2 part water/1part baby shampoo mix of baby shampoo in a small spray bottle. Spray on inside of lenses at END of your session and shake out excess. Put the goggles away as usual. The next session you will be fog free. Repeat at end of your following sessions. This method has been the most effective for me and the least hassle.
I never thought about using baby shampoo! I've always just used the hand soap at the pool or whatever soap I had with me instead, but I'm definetly gonna use that stuff so I don't get all teary eyed! Haha thanks!
arena makes really good anti fog liquid stick which lasts really long and is perfect for sensitive eyes! its about seven dollars for 15ml but you apply it once before practice and wait for it to dry then rinse off like the baby shampoo method but you dont have to apply it frequently. i personally like to applt it once per day (2-3 swims) since i extremely dislike foggy goggles and i've only used 1/3 of it including the amount shared by my teamares! i use the japanese version of it since its easily to buy it in where i live, but there are also spray versions of it with the same price, double amount of liquid but with international versions but i persinally havent used or tried out the spray international version but i think its definetely worth trying the arena antifog products!
Great video. Thanks! Just Worked for me in ocean water. But i only Rinsed very gently with bottled water. Making sure a film was left on the goggles. Not sure yet if salt water rinse would work also. To be continued.
I was told toothpaste is a good cheap way to keep your googles from fogging when you're snorkeling. I came here looking for better options while swimming though lol. I'll try the baby shampoo and see how it compares ^^ thanks for posting the Vid!
Neat trick! I have some Speedo (IIRC) antifog spray coming in the mail today. Will see how well it compares! Also, would you ever consider doing a video tour of your NP collection? It is sooo tantalizing seeing it in your background!
GREAT tip, thanks! Also-u can buy a BIG bottle of generic baby shampoo at Dollar Tree for $1 ! Btw--have u ever tried rubbing alchohol on this inside and outside of your goggles before swimming? I think that works. I remember trying it last summer and it worked, but Im not sure how long the defogging effect will last..
Wow I can't believe I just discovered your channel! I'm a swimmer too and I love your content! I will make sure to try some of these hacks in the future as well. You've also earned yourself another subscriber.👍😊🏊🏼♀️
You can use gelatin powder mixed with water it creates transparent layer and totally safe for you because they make candies from it. Baby shampoo is also great method, but it's still a regular shampoo without irritated agents.
thanks for the tips on non fogging goggles i have the speedo speed socket 2.0 and was wondering if you could do a review on them they r my FAV goggles and never really fog
I have just thrown away Arena anti fog "spray and swim" bottle, because it doesn`t work, for more than 10 minutes in water. And bought that mini shampoo.. Tomorrow.. testing it.
use auto dish washer "Finish" anti spotting solution. Works perfectly. Soak a paper towel and seal in plastic bag for repeated use. Rinse thoroughly after application.
i swim outside and i use the vanquisher googles and i love them, and they don't really get the foggy (but i do play water polo so i don't wear them for that long) but when i swim indoors (which all i do is lap swim, so i do wear them for a long time) they fog up so quickly. idk if it's the water i'm swimming in (i've only gone to one place to swim indoors) or the googles. but i'll try out the baby shampoo next time i swim indoors and see how it works.
I use toothpaste for my dive masks but it doesn’t work on goggles since they are not tempered glass. I have a pair of Tyr tracer goggles and absolutely love them, but the anti fog wore out. I’ll try the baby shampoo.
It’s baby shampoo, so it won’t irritate your eyes. I have really sensitive eyes and it never irritates them!👍🏻 It lasts through an entire practice, but once they dry, it stops working.
Almost perfect. To achieve perfection, make a 1:5 shampoo:water solution and fill in a small spray bottle. Just spray the interior and rinse 2-3 times. Not even necessary to rub!
What i do is before i go to the water i wash my goggles with the liquid hand soap that is at the pool and i wash them real good with my fingers and then i will rinse them with water and I'm good to go but they last for 1.5 h ( it depends on water's temperature)
I'm a lifelong user of my own spit. I've recently discovered that the longer the time between spitting in my goggles and entering the pool, the more effective this method is. So about 3-5 minutes before entering the water, I spit into the goggles and spread in around with a finger. Then just before entering the water I rinse it out with pool water, discarding the pool water into the gutter. again just like she says with the baby shampoo, don't be overly aggressive with the pool water rinse or you'll wash it all out and be back where you started with goggles that fog
+Cute Doggo I have a video called "My Top 5 Must-have Gear For Your First Day of Swim Team' that you might like! I talk about my favorite goggles in it too. ruclips.net/video/o9dY8J-GVjA/видео.html
Cute Doggo I don't have any personal favorite goggles, But I've seen that many swimmers on my team like the Bunge cord Goggles, But I don't think they are very comfortable. Have fun swimming!
thanks for the video! it was really helpful since my goggles have just begun to start fogging in the middle of my swimming sessions lately... so I just have to wash them with baby shampoo and rinse them with clean water and letting them dry..is that right? thanks very much for the answer
You just need to rub the baby shampoo on dry goggles and then slightly rinse them (so that some of the residue from the shampoo is still on there) and use them immediately after. If you let them dry it actually doesn’t work anymore. :)
I would recommend you guys to apply the baby shampoo and to sink it in water at home, they will be dry when you get to the pool because one single drop of water with shampoo can make you cry like hell, I now carry eye drops in my bag, just in case
Since this is baby shampoo, it doesn't hurt if it gets in your eyes. And if it's getting in your eyes, it's because you're not washing it out enough. There should be a thin layer of the baby shampoo left, but it shouldn't be gloppy or bubbly. :) Also, I've found this trick doesn't work if the baby shampoo isn't wet, so I make sure to do it right before I get in so that it's wet. :)
I've used this and it actually works, in fact, it stays there for like 3 days or so, so it works. The downside is that you can feel the mint in your eyes...
Sorry there's no bloopers today guys!! 😭😭
Hi swimlifeguru please reply to me on instagram
Thank you
SwimLifeGuru I am thinking about starting a swimming channel like yours. Do you have any advice?
Couple of jump-cuts. Those don't count? Hey ... seriously... great vid. Very useful!!

how long to you keep the shamppoo before clean up?

Try using a shower gel...actually works better ..
Being and swimmer myself I can relate to these so much and love your videos❤️❤️
Worked like a charm,3 hours in the chop not a single issue.I didnt even have to reapply.Thank you!
BEST ADVICE AND TIP EVER. FIXED MY FOGGY GOGGLES COMPLETELY. 50 MINUTE SWIM TODAY WITH NO FOG!!!! THANK YOU!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for this video! Hopefully I will be able to see the underwater scenery now when I snorkel!!!!
Thank God you're a lifesaver

Very useful. Gonna try the baby shampoo trick today itself.
any luck

Speedo antifog can hurt sensible eyes
GREAT tip, thanks! Also-u can buy a BIG bottle of generic baby shampoo at Dollar Tree for $1 !

Oh you DO know about baby shampoo! But a pea sized amount is way too much to use and I don't rinse it off. I kind of just wipe it with my finger.
Do you have to do it right before you swim or you can do it the day before?
You can use gelatin powder mixed with water it creates transparent layer and totally safe for you because they make candies from it. Baby shampoo is also great method, but it's still a regular shampoo without irritated agents.
A mixture of soap and vinegar (and maybe a little bit of water) works amazing. But you want to cleanse it off well before you wear your goggles :P
Super helpful, thanks :D. Foggy goggles are the worst! Definitely trying baby shampoo next time :).
Thank you so much it actually works for me.. I am so glad.
thanks for the tips on non fogging goggles i have the speedo speed socket 2.0 and was wondering if you could do a review on them they r my FAV goggles and never really fog
THANKS! can' wait to give this a try!
Like the baby shampoo tip. Worked for me!
I have been waiting for this video forever!!!!!!! Thank You!
Oh my goodness I’ve never heard this what a great idea I’m going to get baby shampoo now! Thank you so much and swim well and have fun at
Great post…about to try it today!
Does the baby shampoo and swirling it around work in open water?
Great tips thanks.
My Vanquisher started fogging up after a couple of months.
Very useful tips! I like to use saliva anyway, it's handy and cheap😂
Thank you for this. I will give it a try
Just started swimming and the fog is really annoying. I'm going to try the baby shampoo today
Thank you I needed help
Will try, thanks
I have just thrown away Arena anti fog "spray and swim" bottle, because it doesn`t work, for more than 10 minutes in water. And bought that mini shampoo..

Yep, works good.
The baby shampoo worked great!
Ready to try. Thanks.

I have been looking into this topic recently. Very helpful. Thank you ^^

Would clear nail polish work? Just wondering 😂😂
Might but my guess is the harsh chemicals would ruin the plastic lenses..might not be blurry but be opaque instead
This video should be featured in the first google topic search page.
Aww thank you!❤️
Hey, i am a swimmer and when I have to go to practice I hate going! Do you have any tips to make it more enjoyable and any motivation?? P.S. Ilysm💓💓
sprays made severe eye irritation, i ll definitely try baby shampoo
Tried it today and there was absolutely no fogging.. I was in the pool for one nd half hour..loved it .. thanks
Awesome!!
Will it irritate our eyes or not
And how long it works
It’s baby shampoo, so it won’t irritate your eyes. I have really sensitive eyes and it never irritates them!👍🏻 It lasts through an entire practice, but once they dry, it stops working.
SwimLifeGuru thanks i will try it today
And which will be best googles for swimming 🏊
Almost perfect. To achieve perfection, make a 1:5 shampoo:water solution and fill in a small spray bottle. Just spray the interior and rinse 2-3 times. Not even necessary to rub!
Are anti fog goggles supposed to not fog up when your head is above the water or just when your head is in the water?
What i do is before i go to the water i wash my goggles with the liquid hand soap that is at the pool and i wash them real good with my fingers and then i will rinse them with water and I'm good to go but they last for 1.5 h ( it depends on water's temperature)

I use mild soap with no chemical and seems to clear the fog.
I'm starting swim team soon, and I've never been on one. What are some good goggles that won't hurt my eyes?
+Cute Doggo I have a video called "My Top 5 Must-have Gear For Your First Day of Swim Team' that you might like! I talk about my favorite goggles in it too. ruclips.net/video/o9dY8J-GVjA/видео.html
Cute Doggo I don't have any personal favorite goggles, But I've seen that many swimmers on my team like the Bunge cord Goggles, But I don't think they are very comfortable. Have fun swimming!
The best goggles are the ones that fit your face. I recommend trying them on and only keeping the ones that fit.
This is probably late, but always have two towels at meets no matter where you are. One for drying off during the meet and one for after.
Get those at speedo that has biofuse
I'll have to try this next time I go lane swimming!
Awesome! Let me know how it goes!!👍🏻
SwimLifeGuru I tried spitting in my goggles, and they didn't fog up at all after that. Now i'm really curious how well the baby shampoo works
Ty for the vid and tip! Do you have a tip for fixing leaky goggles?
Thank you.
I heard you can use toothpaste but that might burn your eyes if you aren't careful
thank you for the tips
Thx lol good luck on your meet this weekend!
This video is very very helpful!! Thank you very much
Awesome! Thanks!!🤗
Someone on my swim team uses toothpaste and says it works really well
Hayley Mc its really good i use toothpaste
How often do I have to replace my swimming goggle?
Baby Shampoo is the best. Even for open water events in cold salt water on hot days. I put on way less than you and don’t rinse it.
Hmm I’ll have to test out not rinsing it! Thanks!👍🏻
Thank you for this.
u are pretty and helpful thanks!!!
I have tried and yes it is very satisfying
Baby shampoo to prevent fog on goggles #FTW!! Super duper tip! Thanks for sharing kid!
Hi tried ur tips.it really works thanks a lot👍
Thank you for sharing!!!!!
omg thank you so much! I love your vids btw ❤️
Thank you!
OMGOSHNESS WE HAVE THE SAME GOGGLES by the way this video was amazing and helpful
Excelente! Good idea!
Shaving cream also works.
Nicolas Navarro hey just to reming you said this 2 years ago
Thank you!!!
I got new vanquishers today and the anti fog lasted 10 minutes...
Is it ok to use baby Head to Toe wash?
It does say "no more tears" but I don't know if I should try it.
Would love a response 😁😊
Your a cute person helping us...
i love your videos so much!!!
thanks for the video! it was really helpful since my goggles have just begun to start fogging in the middle of my swimming sessions lately... so I just have to wash them with baby shampoo and rinse them with clean water and letting them dry..is that right? thanks very much for the answer
You just need to rub the baby shampoo on dry goggles and then slightly rinse them (so that some of the residue from the shampoo is still on there) and use them immediately after. If you let them dry it actually doesn’t work anymore. :)
Ok I'll try then! Thank you very much!
Wow..Good tips👍👍👍👍
🏊♀️🤽♂️🤽♀️🏊♂️Thanks!!
What are you favorite type of fins just for a regular lap swimmer? Thanks:)
Great question!
I know Im late but
It stings like heeeeeeeelll
If it stings you probably didn’t rinse it out enough!❤️
I didn't know about baby shampoo or anything hahaha
I have to put my goggles on the water every two or three laps e.e
Thank you for the tips :p
You can also use toothpa
Toothpaste*
Goat Goat really
spray tan???
Nope😇
I've hear shaving cream helps with fog
Adrienne 😂😂😂
Great idea. Also you do a great job on all your videos. 😊.
I need this hack. Before 500 views😂🤗
Sweet, works very well, thank you sweetheart
your so pretty😲💞💞
I would recommend you guys to apply the baby shampoo and to sink it in water at home, they will be dry when you get to the pool because one single drop of water with shampoo can make you cry like hell, I now carry eye drops in my bag, just in case
Since this is baby shampoo, it doesn't hurt if it gets in your eyes. And if it's getting in your eyes, it's because you're not washing it out enough. Does normal shampoo works too?
It might, but since you rinse the goggles to “activate” the shampoo, it might drip in your eyes. I use baby shampoo so it doesn’t hurt my eyes. 👍🏻
it seems u hate fog as hell lol thnx for the info
I think there is another trick that uses toothpaste... Not entirely sure tho
I've used this and it actually works, in fact, it stays there for like 3 days or so, so it works. The downside is that you can feel the mint in your eyes...
Super Swimmer sweet works nice thank you sweetheart.
I like it
Licking is less gross than spitting and it woks the same.
Big up
