    Thanks, K Tv yes many people think that drums are trash fish and not that good to eat but like you I think they are great. Sometimes going to the rivers and lakes they may be the only fish that's really biting. When you cut that bloodline out you are good to go... The next time you fillet fish soak it in lemon or lime juice for a few minutes or you may do it overnight. Look bro. this will really enhance the taste... Great video.. I subscribed as well

    I live right under a dam with fast flowing water with a lot of chunk rocks.
    Everything I throw gets stuck and no bites. Everyone catches drum there.
    What should I throw?

    Did you know drum have rocks/bones in their heads? There two if them that they rube together and that's where their sounds they make come from. Some people have been known to make jewelry out of them they are actually very pretty almost like ivory.

    • @Kalabmetcalfe
      @Kalabmetcalfe  3 года назад +2

      Yes I do know that! I did take both of them out and kept them! I should make a video about making a jewelry out of them!

      Definitely try next time! I’ve always soaked it in salt water for about 24 hours and it’s comes out super clean and no fishy taste whatsoever

  • @RyanTheSenpai

    How do you get these guys to bite!! Mammoths in my lake but they could literally not give a fuck about anything I toss out

    • @Kalabmetcalfe
      @Kalabmetcalfe  Год назад

      A lot times I’ve caught them on night crawlers! But I rarely use live bait. So a lot of the big drum I catch come off of small profile crank baits
