Nice to see this part of the canal and the viaduct. You never know you might be caught on google maps walking around the HS2 site, Yes i have heard about the astronaughts in the space station. That isnt great but at least they get the bonus of an extended visit which they wouldnt have had otherwise. I like how we have seen this being built from your videos so its good seeing it now almost completed.
Completely off-topic but this might interest you, Lord Rock: The sorry tale of missing Piglet was just mentioned on a national radio station (LBC). Yeah, I nearly choked on my croissant. It was being covered in relation to the new legislation concerning the theft of pets. Back in March, Mel (the human) and Piglet (the dog) were down from Derbyshire and visiting friends on the canal at Harefield. The humans went out for the evening leaving Piglet on the narrowboat and upon their return found the boat had been broken into. Piglet was nowhere to be seen. Whether the dog was deliberately taken or wandered off after the break-in isn't clear - apparently there were several sightings of the pooch in the following days. Mel, understandably, was beside herself with worry and delayed her return to Derbyshire while she and her friends searched for Piglet. She even resorted to sleeping in her car as the search area widened. It wasn't clear from the feature how many days passed before Mel went back home to Derbyshire without her beloved Piglet. She must have come back to Harefield at some point armed with a bundle of those laminated Piglet Posters with which we are all now familiar thanks to your ramblings, Peter. The last part of the radio piece detailed how Mel is in the process of contacting every veterinary practice in the country - all 27000 of them - in the hope that Piglet's chip has been logged somewhere. So, I have an apology to make: the cynic in me said that these posters cropping up everywhere were simply an advert for a certain website but, having heard the backstory on national radio, now realise they were a genuine attempt by a worried owner to find her beloved Piglet. Hat tip to Matthew Wright for featuring this story on his show this morning.
Wow! Fantastic news! Someone out there knows what happened, which is good. Maybe they will mention it in a pub sometime and eventually justice for piglet will prevail! And it will be arise Sir David Figgley and Sir Lord Rock! The minimum we can expect is the Freedom of the Grand Union Canal. Oooh, we have that already! Great story Dave. Made my day!
That's really interesting. I did see something online that suggested Piglet had been stolen, rather than just wandering off and getting lost. After all this time, I hope somebody has taken in the poor dog and its caring for it.
6:01 Piece(s) of parapet have been installed. There will be plenty to document from the tow path: more sections of the parapet and then the acryllic panels to go atop them. This isn't over for you yet, Lord Rock. Keep 'em coming 👍

The space station has the world's highest receiving antenna. - So they won't be short of TV programmes to entertain them.
That's good news, Sharron!
