Rustboro City | Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald | Bossa Nova Cover

Playing bossa nova is just so fun I couldn't stop myself from covering one of my favorite tracks from this generation of Pokemon.
The music from Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald will always be in my heart and this tune in particular has always been one that gets stuck in my head over and over, so I figured "why not make a cover?". Funny enough, I actually relate this song to Mossdeep City way more than I do Rustboro City, so I've always considered it to fit more to that tropical, chill environment.
Although the last cover also within the same genre, I wanted to go with a different style this time around, taking a fuller band approach instead of a lighter arrangement as last time.
Since I wanted to try getting a more acoustic sound for the bass, I experimented a bit with mixing DI with a mic signal aimed below the pickups, which allowed me to achieve something closer to that acoustic sound I was searching.
For this cover, I needed a collaborator that could fill in a nylon guitar part that fit the style and, luckily, a friend of mine was available to record the parts I needed, couldn't have done it without his help!

At least japan loves bossa and jazz in general, thats why pokemon songs are so rich
