Beautiful flowers😊. I made a mistake in how deep the bulbs should be in the soil and it caused complete decay and disintegration of the bulbs. Lessons learnt 😅.

Amazing growth sir👍👍, i have also ordered calla lily but they are hybrid ones (270 rs of each bulb) so can i grow them now in november, temperature will go down to 5-20 degree celcius in january, i am from western rajasthan.

Great video, I grew calla Lilly from nursery bought plant, which almost died after repotting I saved it's bulbs and kept it another pot with fresh soil now in rainy season it grew few leves, plant is still small and two to three months old but it's not flowering at all . I stay in Mumbai and it's rainy season here with no sun and cloudy most of the time. Is the plant waiting for sunshine or is it difficult for bloom here in Mumbai climate

I live in Goa where it's hot and above 25 degrees most of the year except the monsoons. Can i sow Calla Lilly in August or September since winter season here is still hot and dry with sunshine.

Hello, sir :) may i ask if you ever had trouble with stray cats "using" your pots as litter? I don't know what to do to keep them away. Citrus peels don't seem to work (and it looks messy) and I'm worried that using vinegar to the soil will mess with the soil's pH level greatly :(
But if you never had trouble with cats before, it's okay. I can search for more solutions later on. Your flowers are so beautiful! Very well-loved. Too bad your calla lily didn't survive April season, but at least it got to bloom so beautifully before the rainy season.

@Dream Cardigan, I am sorry, I don't have any experience with the Cats! Actually, my garden is on Balcony (6th floor) and on terrace (7th floor). So, cats usually don't go there. You are right, Vinegar would mess with the soil.

Anything that is pepper 🌶 very hot 🔥 keeps them away *powder form.
just go out and collect any thorny bush cuttings, Lantana plant works great. it will dry up in a few days. Interlock the cuttings ( do not strip the small branches on the cuttings ) around the base of the potted plant. tats it a natural barrier to protect your pots top soil from pets/pests :))

@rizwan ahamed, New shoots ayeaga..kabhi kabhi thoda time lagta hai. Mera jaldi hua kyoki uo sab already sprouted tha. Abhi sirf pani jyada mat dijiye...Good luck and Sir jaruarat nehi hai actually :-)

How to preserve calla lily.
Sir, I've ordered rain Lily bulbs, can I plant them in shade, that is under mango tree, it's on the road side of our compound?
@Anuradha Anand, Rain Lily actually need lots of sunlight to bloom well..For shady place, you can grow Football Lily but problem is they bloom only once per season like many lilies. Sir is not required actually :-)

Please go for organically rich, moist n well-drained soil. The pH value should be around 6.5 (in case if it's mentioned on the label). I am actually not aware about the brands available in your place. Or else, I could've specified few.. Good luck!

This bulb is not cala lily bulb this is web lily bulb.. the shape od cala lily's bulb is like onion.. not bnana type.. i also bought bulbls of cala lily from FLIPKART n i got same as you shown but unfortunately that ws Web lily.. then i bought amazone then i got correct one..

@anshu nerkar, Depending on the climate, planting depth, bulbs take different time to sprout. And since they were like ginger, I think those were Canna Lily!

Bulbs of Calla lilies are hardy and do not rot easily... it's very sad you lost them.
