Since this was a customer’s gun, I was just spending a little time with it and showing you all some features. If I ever get the opportunity to test one long term I’m sure that the final results would be better. I’ve not seen the FX Chrony affect accuracy on anything yet. Not saying it couldn’t and I usually shoot without it at first to test for that, (you all just don’t see that footage) but you never know. I’m sure there’s something out there that would be aversely affected by it. As for this gun. I hope my customer is truly enjoying it. (Last email from him was VERY positive) Cheers AGW
Note on recycling the cocking lever. With this new mags you will double load if you cycle the lever twice with out firing that first loaded pellet. I know that with the older mags it was not an issue but not so much with these new ones.
What an awesome rifle. One of the Daystate RedWolf types will be my next purchase. The ability to tune so easily is one of the main attractions about these guns. Thanks brother for sharing this. God bless you and congratulations to the new owner of this beautiful rifle. 🎯👍
Only complaint is power. I love to push heavy slugs up in the 970-1000fps unfortunately the daystate just doesn’t have the horse power after 150 yards. That’s where the huben, fx, and Vulcan really start to shine. However, up to 150 maybe 175 the daystate can hang in there with the right slug and tune. But 200,300, ?? Daystate is out unfortunately. Really wish they had a .25 that could put out 95fpe and a .30 that could push 120fpe
Hey Rick, Thank you for your review, you are the first one to show a comparison between power levels, it always interested me. I ordered just the same one, and it gonna be my first PCP. If I may, I would like to ask off topic question. I would like to buy scuba tank to fill the gun, but it is weight and size Vs. number of filling, based on your experience, how many fillings, lets say from reg pressure to max filling pressure can one get from a tank (pick any size of tank you want, I will calculate accordingly) Thank you for your time!!
I would skip the tank and go with a personal compressor. Because this has a fairly large bottle that takes 250 bar, you will be down bellow the 250 bar level pretty quickly, even with a larger carbon fiber tank. Hope that helps. Cheers AGW
Rick said he has the regular power version. That's better suited for pellets. In factory 3 tune levels the HP version is designed for slugs and heavy pellets. The high power setting is obviously made for 34gr Beast pellets.
John. Right now this is not on the schedule or in the production budget. At best we could get some numbers and post the results on the GTA. In fact, I would suggest that you put your request to the folks on the GTA. I’m sure there are many members that have that gun and a chrony that would probably have the time and inclination to post some numbers for everyone‘s benefit. Cheers AGW
That daystate shoots half in groups at 100 yards in the right hand ands right Ammo. I’d love to see your impact shoot better with same pellet same speed… it wouldn’t be any better. As an fx impact owner and a daystate owner I’ll admit they are neck in neck. However my Vulcan 3 outshoots them both 7days a week.
Thanks........ I had a $20 bet with a friend that it wouldn't take one day for some FX fan boy to show up in the comments. You guys are hilarious. Nobody can show anything without you sticking your little FX bs in the conversation. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Pew_pewchronicles I own FX also. But other brands matter. Isn't it strange that no matter what the rifle is being reviewed. Only one group seems to always claim their gun is better. If the shoe fits, wear it. Only the fan boys hate.
I don't own a Daystate nor an FX and I'm not taking part in the bickering about who is the best in the airgun world. I do think you are old and wise enough to know that this was a quick test and not a review after extensive experimentation with multiple pellets and possibly slugs in different weather conditions and power levels. That's why I just looked to see the gun and yes the stock is not my thing. That's not a criticism, just an opinion.
@@j.verfaillie5742 Ο.Κ. Βut it has happened to me. I unboxed a gun, took some 25.39grJSB's and shot 5 of them into one hole and 3 touching at 50yards. I don't want to make an argument, maybe Rick needed some more time with it.
Daystate. Beautiful as always!
Rick I’d recommend taking that chrono off end of barrel. Sometimes it can help the harmonics but it can also do the opposite. Just a consideration

Sweet 👍👍
I just ordered mine this afternoon.
I’d recommend some 30g H&Ns
Very nice rifle. I’m wait till Daystate come with there slug barrel, then I’ll buy one. Btw, The rifle has no mechanical regulator.
Beautiful stock.
Ahhhh, there is not a Regulator to settle down. I have the Redwolf .22HP in Walnut as well.
Nice rifle, but can't shoot 14-18gr pellets? Can't imagine why there aren't more power levels. So many other choices.....👍😺

Please test gamo swarm maxxim gen 2 .22 and do a chronograph on different pellets please :)

Slugs at high power??
Mediocre accuracy for such expensive gun I’ll stick to my FX impact

Not accurate enough...
The brand name, the cost of it,just makes me expect 1 hole at 50meters.

That gun will absolutely shoot one hole at 50 yards… this wasn’t really much of an accuracy review
