A version with the heart rate sensor or oximeter would be great, as it would be one of very few such devices that don't require google fit and run open source software.
I wonder if you could use it to aid in home automation like detecting which room you are in based on the signal level of the device or controlling equipment with it (turning on, off, etc)
How did you manage to turn it on? I can't figure out if mine is DOA or if I just don't understand how to turn it on. There are no buttons and no indication of how to power it on.
Sorry if I asking a dumb question, but I have it and I can not find a way to adjust the time! Even connected to my WiFi router that has perfect Internet connection, I git only date correct never the time... Any idea? Thanks.
one minute into the video, and it feels like i'm, somehow, still the only person that gets consistantly water, and sometimes airtight, 3d prints... and I tested that.
@@voltlog That is true. no two printers, nor settings, are the same. sometimes bad luck plays a factor too. sometimes... sometimes its just me that screwed up, lol... ok, no actually, Im the biggest reason my prints fail... but it's fun :)
I'm guessing it could achieve lower power usage by having the TTP223 wake up the ESP32 from sleep when touch detection happens? Haven't checked the actual numbers but that would be my bet.

I think it is already available on Aliexpress, I was looking at some listings a while ago. I personally would prefer the wristband so I don't think I'll be ordering one.
Pretty cool gadget, even better review! I wonder if the battery life can be more than 2-3 hours if the ESP needs to constantly update the screen?
I will be measuring that in an upcoming project, I'll use my Joulescope and that should allow me to estimate battery life to answer this question.
@@voltlog so how long does the battery last?

Any update on the heart rate?
The ESP32-PICO-D4 is actually a hybrid module which contains the ESP32 itself plus flash memory and a crystal oscillator.
I wonder if you could use it to aid in home automation like detecting which room you are in based on the signal level of the device or controlling equipment with it (turning on, off, etc)
Did you ever end up finishing your USB to Serial project, and if so, could you make a video on that?
Excellent review, as you said, would be better if the first upload is the OTA updater and then programming with OTA -
Hey, could you follow up with the programming of the module and what the battery life is like? Thanks
Sure, I am working on that.
isn't it the same case as a Mi Band 3?
TP4054 has rather high Iq, if you want to save bit more power, swap it with something like MCP73831, they're pin-to-pin compatible.
That's a really good suggestion, I will mention that in an upcoming video where I build a project on this, thanks!
how many hours it lasts with turned on display and wifi doing stuff ?

The MPU9250 was discontinued by the manufacturer a while ago, I think, though there seemed to be a fair few of them floating around China.
It can be programmed with pictoblox or something similar? It would be nice for kids to play with it.

Try to connect to an ntp server on first boot. There are plenty of Arduino examples for ESP32.
Can it do image processing?
one minute into the video, and it feels like i'm, somehow, still the only person that gets consistantly water, and sometimes airtight, 3d prints... and I tested that.
That's nice but generally speaking results will vary a lot with 3d prints.

why the ttp223 if esp32 has native touch gpios?

@@voltlog yes, probably
@@voltlog The ULP coprocessor can poll touch sensors. Also I don't understand why the need for external RTC.
They upgraded it with better mpu, vibration motor and Heart rate and spo2 sensor
Chahil Patel that would be a nice upgrade.
👍
Smart Alarm Clock =)

GSM is whats still missing oO
yeah, decent. good choice
То что доктор прописал.!!!
I would buy this if the shipping wasnt 60 euros from aliexpress
Get it from Banggood! Currently UK stock cheaper than CN.
Looks very similar to the Mi Band.
NiHaoMike shape wise yes, similar.
@@voltlog it does resemble a mi band 3. If you have one, can you test if the charging cable is compatible?
Check out my Corona Virus Tracker based on This T-wristband
Interesting project!
