Hey Matt. Just went Diving in The weekend and captured my First KINA!!! I was so excited because of how much you saw "mmm, these taste beautiful. You have to try these" and I was so excited to try it........ OH MY GOD! I threw up, do you have any tips on about to make Kina taste better!!
kina is a pretty acquired taste and there are a couple of things you can look for to tell if they taste good. 1. the brighter orange/ yellow it is the better usually 2. don't contaminate with fresh water just wash the row with sea water and make sure you dont get many guts on your row. 3. and from some reason the kina taste better when the pohutukawa are in full flower and apparently the better the flowering on the season the better the kina will be, just make sure you get bright yellow/bright orange kina
awesome way to cook those pipers, i will try it next time i catch some, great videos dude keep it up!!!
YUMMY !!!!!!
Reminded me of my Grandpa showing me a trick or two with "garfish" .........oh sorry bro .. piper .... LOL
Cheers
