- After a night in Mexico City, it was time to head on to Cancun. There were a number of low cost options, plus Aeromexico serving the route. So AeroMexico it was.
There were two premium products on offer - Premier and Premier light. The main difference being the seating on the aircraft. This being one of AeroMexicos native 737's, it featured the full business class set up.

I feel like 50% of this video was shots of the wing
I would be a bit upset with that lounge if I paid for a business class ticket to Europe or Asia.
Aeromexico Premier for domestic and short haul international routes is a real rip off, don't expect anything special or resembling luxury let alone a decent meal onboard. Ground staff, mostly in Mexico City, tends to be grumpy, their lounges are crowded, service is very poor and complimentary food options are scarce. If you need extra legroom and priority boarding, go for their premium economy (AM Plus) and you'll be on the safe side.
Former Mexicana Aviation is terribly missed by many.
Being a OneWorld elite, it’s a shame that Mexicana are gone.
You think this flight looked bad, stay tuned for the return to Mexico City…
@@InflightWithJames I've had so many bad flights with AM.....they got worse since DL took a large share of them. Incidentally, the Hilton Tulum is actually located in Akumal, their name is misleading.
No digas mamadas!
I think aeromexico is the best for family trips when you want cheap flights.
Nice trip report. Aeromexico Premier class on a domestic flight doesn't look like anything to write home about. The lounge was particularly disappointing. However, your hotel room in Tulum looks incredible! Hope you had an enjoyable stay.
Do they have a separated check in counter for Premier customers in MEX?
They did.
