He was so devoted to her. He risked everything in order to save her life. Shiyi was very lucky to find a husband like Lingyi. They been through so much to finally get to a place where they can be happy. He finally has the life that he's always wanted with the only woman he's ever loved.
I don't feel bad for Mr. Ou because he could've saved Shiyi long ago but he chose his family. I understand his loyalty but to let an innocent person die for their crimes is wrong. I give him partial credit for finally doing the right thing.

Well he brought it on himself. He knew from the beginning that Shiyi was innocent but he decided to protect his family. If he hadn't heard that his father killed innocent people to try and find Lingyi to retrieve the evidence against him.. then he would've let Shiyi die. I understand his dilemma but at the end of the day he was ready to let an innocent person pay the price for his family's sins. I'm glad he was honest with her. It shows that he still has a heart. It's unfortunate that he made the wrong decision at a weak moment. I'm glad that he changed his mind and that his life was spared. He deserves a fresh start.
