Hi there, we are really enjoying watching you fit out your boat and hope to do the same ourselves in the next few years. You are our inspiration!! Can I ask why you choose kingspan insulation over a spray? Thank you so much in advance. Lee & Ali

Thanks so much for this series, I'm hoping to get my own boat next year and want to fit out myself, my brother and I have worked in the building industry for years. Of course different to an extent for boat fit out but skills can be transferred, really interested to see how you go with it. All the best 😊

Hi Carl. awesome coverage of the boat build, hoping to take same trip in 8 years time when I retire, what made you choose Debdale Wharf Marina, and any chance of putting a full list of the stuff you used , eg ; glues etc etc, keep up the good work and hope you and your family stay safe , all the best Gaz

Nice work on the floor. Not sure what you were saying for the first 8 minutes though? I'm going a bit deaf in my old age!

The drill bit is a little smaller than the screw?

You do realise that the whole point of the wing-tek screws is that there is no need to pre drill holes. You are in effect doubling the time needed to do the job.

Ian Taylor hi Ian thanks for watching. Yes I do realise the whole point of self drilling screw is there is no need to pre drill a hole, but in my experience the steel braces I am drilling into are quite thick and in some cases the drill head on the screw became blunt before it had gone through, and they did take a while to drill there hole. So I found that popping a small pilot hole in first helped me.
That’s for taking an interest, keep watching, regards Carl & Christine

Are you aware that the main difference about marine ply is it don't delaminate as fast in salt water. The best way to stop the battens rotting is to use an oil based stain.

Lewis Gardener Hi Lewis thanks for the info. The marine ply may be a little overkill but that’s always been my approach to over engineer things a little, thanks for the tip on the stain, keep watching, regards Carl & Christine
