Anyone thinking that Novak is faking his injuries is pathetic! Aging is part of injuries, hes not making excuses. The haters of the GOAT are incredibly annoying
most logical people can stay he is acting a lot on court its not hate, no one is saying he is never injured but he plays it up and the lack of depth in the men's game laps it up and he falls them ever single time
Like many people here, I want Djokovic to win his 25th major and his fourth French Open.... but let's get real. It's curtains for Novak. His knee won't hold up and if he has any chance of winning he'll have to be in top condition. He's not. Knees are a bitch. He wasn't faking those knee jerks on the court. It was bad. There's nothing you can do for knee pain except rest or surgery. Novak is handicapped. Novak might forfeit before Wednesday or might forfeit on the court. The odds are against Novak getting past Ruud but, if he could pull it off, Novak won't get past the semi-finals. I hope I'm proven wrong, though I agree with your predictions on the men's side.
It’s definitely not fake injuries but I’ll bet for him to get past Ruud. Haven’t been too impressed with Ruud here tbh but I don’t think Novak will get past the semis if he gets there.
I think u might be right...but Novak if he plays he still has a chance against Ruud although Ruud is the favourite to win.... but against Zverev no way if Zverev makes it to the SF which he should...But Novak will be thanking his stars if De minaur makes the Semis...But i think he just hasn't much left in the tank....
@@Nostalgic14-zo3pk Novak is definitely playing. He’s got a day of rest which will help him. It’s really a toss up with Ruud at this point who has played less minutes but does not seem to me to be on top form. If he gets past Ruud he might get past Zverev ( or Minaur) but no way he beats any of the other three in the Final.
I agree that Casper will beat Novak. If it were not because of the knee, and how it dragged the 4th round match to close to 5 hours, I would have picked Novak. But Novak has been on the court for 9 hours in the past two matches, and his knee is hurting.
As a DIE HARD djokovic fan...I don't think he would win the tournament cos father time is actually caught up with him...I believe alcaraz will be champion....however if casper ruud doesn't beat djokovic NOW !!! he will NEVER EVER do it again...never !
Djoker plays hot potatoes (lol) with his fans in 2 AMAZING drama-filled matches. The Muss-Cer duals were hypertension magnets for viewers like MOI! AirDjoker was flying in both 5th sets. Picking Nole over Ruud. Carlos over Stef. Sasha over Dimi. Yannik over Dimmi. Knee is soooo different from soft tissue injuries so NOT SURE how much of a strain-issue for the Djoker. He will play - how well & how long - tough to say. Thanx Stephen. Cheers, Milan
@7:25 time on court data observation for all Quaterfifnalist, . the next Gen Players De Minaur, Alcaraz, Sinner playwers 9 - 10 hrs incl Tsitsipas, the rest of the older ones have 3 to 4 hrs more. On their last matches at round 4, the same Next gen spent under 3 hrs while most of the older ones spent betweeen 3 1/2 hrs to above 4 hours. Id say for body to recover, the next gen players have a clear advantage.
I am not sure that winning one match against someone will make you confident against them. Casper has only beaten Novak once and that match went to 3 sets, and Casper was in better form.
Im Novak fan,but this doesnt look good.He needed so much easy/short match yesterday. This is clay, long griding points and he is 37 so i dont think he can pull this all the way this time.
Just a quick fact check on your claim that players like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic would have switched umpires if they could. In 2015 Rafa successfully got Carlos Bernardes removed from umpiring his matches for some time. Nadal didn’t appreciate a judgment call CB made, and he said it to Bernardes and then later to the press. After that CB was not on a Nadal match for ten months. CB had enforced time violation rules on Nadal in three matches and Nadal did not like that. Nadal’s rule breaking time violations are well documented, but CB was the only one to actually enforce the rules. Nadal showed that he lacks humility when it is difficult to muster. Which don’t surprise me because a truly humble person would have played by the rules or adjusted their intra-point routine to fall within the allotted time. Nadal never cared about following that rule and he expected the game to bend around him. And, mostly it did. As unfair as that is.
Great players are just able to find a ways to win matches they're no supposed to, we saw what Nadal was able to do to Zverev 2 years ago, we saw what Djokovic did to Alcaraz last yr, what he is still doing here. Another thing is Novak has one of the greatest night records. He should get night vs Ruud & will get night if he makes it to the SF.
If it were any other year you’d be nuts to pick Novak to lose. Nadal not making it past the first round. This RG has a different feel. It would be cool to see a Sasha v Grigor final, a shot for one of the last gen to win a Major.
Djokovic has a habit of acting physically tortured or suddenly ailing when he’s in a tough spot. It has nothing to do with age, he’s been doing it for decades. I don’t think he’s faking discomfort as much as he’s exaggerating it. It may be because it plays on his opponent’s psyche, or it may be that he looks even more heroic if he wins or loses.
@@al1976-v7m does whatever her name is bring in as much revenue as Djokovic, Alcaraz, Sinner, etc, if not, then she shouldn't get the same payout no matter how much effort and preparation she puts in.
Nice prediction for Novak playing 100% next round. You are "genius" !! This just prove how much he and other players play with injuries and that's normal thing in sport especially in tennis. But from some reason most of you just don't believe Novak and say he is faking.
Yall were wrong saying hes going to play, hes not injured and all. Now the MRI has come out to say he had a tear. Talking like hes faking his injury smh 😂
Only Djokovic can use/exaggerate any slight injuries he has. Does anyone not actually even recognise this? Can you imagine a smaller non GOAT player using this tactic? The point is Novak is a guy who can/does use whatever advantage he can find to win.
He played great, leads 6:1 in the first set and only then gets injured. Why would he act and take away his match for 5 sets, in order to slip through as you say. Funny statements.
What tactic? If he faked an injury , distrupted his opponent and won on that. It might be a tactic. But please be a normal human being for a moment and see that after faking the injury, Djokovic lost 2 sets in a tow and almost another set until the very late end of set 4. So what is the logic of faking a injuiry here? Please tell me. By the way, as you can see, HATE blinds your mind. You should be careful about the feeling of hatred. It might cause you mental problem.
