We don’t do these because I guess the window breaks easier than other frameless car windows ? I get nervous doing any type of frameless Espically the Camaro because of how low the handle is
Any damages that may occur as a result of unlocking a vehicle is on the customer who locked them in there. I always video the customer, stating that I am not liable. I didn't lock them in. The vehicle isn't designed to be unlocked that way. And if they don't like my method or liability waiver, they can call someone else. I take on all calls because I do it that way. There is no point in rejecting a call or losing money over potential damages. Also, I've never broken a window.
@@roadsideguy5902 Thanks for the reply I 100 percent agree with that i figured there was something different about the corvette window that broke easier but if not I don’t see the issues. Technically we don’t service teslas but I’ve done that only once with no issues. One thing I wish we didn’t service is box trucks 🤦♂️
@Apolloneek, the only Vette's you should not touch are ones that have the B pillar stick out and inch and a half. Which are newer than this model. Those will break the window. A buddy in Texas had a driver break one year ago. And I have gone to one before, but after seeing the difference, I said call a locksmith and have them Lishi the lock. Box trucks aren't bad if you go through the front A pillar instead of the back.
Also try the glassman tool by access tools usa . They are designed specifically for the frameless windows. It spreads the tension over a wide area to minimize the possibility of breaking the glass. They also have a Tesla tool. I just ordered it so I’ll test it out when I get it.
@dre963 the Glassman tool sucks azz. I bought one fifteen years ago. I never use it. Try it and find out for yourself. It's about as useless as their white reach tool with a light or their reach tool window suction rack for holding reach tools. Don't get me wrong, they make great tools, but a few are straight trash. The Glassman is straight trash.
That tool won’t do you any good with most frameless doors. I have one of them as well and like OP, I almost never use it. The reach tools we use are coated in plastic which will prevent damage to glass anyway. Also, the glassman tool will take up a lot of the small space you create with your air jack. Often times I even have to remove the grip tip on the reach tool in order to get it thru that small space. Bottom line, glassman tool is pointless and no one worth a shit needs one.
@@jessetruck903 reading what you say I don't know how to properly use the tool. I used it the first time and worked perfectly. Maybe you did look at dinner videos to see how to properly use it and save yourself from a liability issue.
@@dman357 I’m sure you used it correctly, and there’s nothing wrong with using it. I was only speaking in the context of 2 door sports coupes like these corvettes, mustangs, Camaros etc. the tool isn’t much help. Sorry if I came across hostile, we are all here to learn from each other.
