Been about 40 years since I lived on the Goldie, but Dbah is still the benchmark for me of great surf spots. Lived at both Burleigh and Kirra, but Dbah was always reliable for a wave. And a bloody good wave, too. I was a gumby when I first lived there, but surfing around such great surfers, with such great waves, puts you on a fast track to getting better. And Dbah does all the work for you... it's so fast and sucky that all you need to do is point your board in the right direction and it generates all the pace and power for you. Awesome place, with such an adrenalin-charged atmosphere.
