- I've been looking forward to the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Megafigure Clayface, mostly because I can fit it into any Batman display. Well, okay, the sculpt is amazing too but it's the size that gets me.

I always felt Clayface can be workable into 6 inch scale no matter how big the figures are since he can change sizes
Hey Robo! So I picked up Clayface and noticed a few things that you might want to bring up on a future play day!
- the arms CAN hit a 90 degree bend, you just have to heat them up like crazy to loosen up those joints. The wrists can hinge upwards pretty far as well.
- the reason the head snaps back to the center whenever you twist it side to side is because it’s attached to a long peg that connects it to the shell. But the peg isn’t on any kind of ball joint or socket so when you’re twisting the head you’re literally twisting and putting stress on that whole peg as well. I wouldn’t try to move the head at all cuz continued stress on it will cause that neck peg to just shear off (speaking from someone who sheared it off and had to repair it).
- Closing the mouth all the way causes the bottom row of teeth to scrape against the roof of Clayface’s mouth, removing some of that tooth paint in the process

Cool sculpted detail and articulated jaw aside, I just can't justify spending almost 45 bucks after taxes on a figure that cant even bend its arms all the way.. With how expensive everything's getting, I'd rather put my hard earned dollars towards figures I'm really excited about. I'll see if I can snag Clayface for 30 or less down the road. He literally can only stand straight up because he has no ankle articulation. Like it was an easy thing to do. Ratchet joints would of been fine. At least side to side. Like he set up the feet perfectly to do so and hide it well. I'm perplexed as to why they didn't do that. Like he literally can't do anything. The Mattel baf can do so much pose wise compared to this. Just 45 bucks for a glorified statue

Despite the limitation of the articulation Clayface does look good just needed some accessories like what Clayface would use like spiked mace, tentacles, and etc. And I bet someone will make those for him that would be cool.

The sculpt is great. I just wish more parts are soft plastic or rubber to allow more movement. Right now, it is more a statue.
can't believe they finally made a figure for the great mighty poo! I saw him at target but another collector had already nabbed him (but he did let me take a look at him), but I was able to get the titan joker, which is big and awesome.

Cool figure. May have to grab this one. I am a sucker for big bulky figures. There was a great Batman / Clayface run back in the 90s that spanned over Detective and Batman comics. Appearances on the Batman cartoon were also good. Could morph into different people.
I'm glad I got this figure. I do hope I see some customizers trying some mods to make it more posable if it's possible.
I bought him last week but still havent cracked him out of the package yet so this video was actually helpful too me. He's so F'n big, I haven't figured out where to put him in my collection yet

Thank you for this review! I was on the fence, but like you I prefer articulation over sculpting and it looks like this does not have the range I imagined it would have and would have been annoyed when I got it in hand. Still looks incredible, though!

I wonder if Todd will end up reusing this for one with some weapon hands, and/or maybe going for more of a reddish clay look rather than the poop brown.

I'll never understand why people complain when Clayface figures look like giant turd monsters, it's like they've never seen what Clayface looks like before.
This figure does look cool and I was tempted to get it, but my DC shelf is super crammed and I only have space for one more larger scale character, and whilst I've never had a Clayface figure the Arkham Asylum Killer Croc is way higher on my list, love that character and that design a lot more than Clayface.
Still this looks good, if I had the space I'd get it.

I Would love a 6-Inch Clayface that's his The Batman 2004 design. Maybe with changable Hands that are weapons we see in the cartoon

Got my Golgothan 💩demon (if anyone gets that reference 🤷🏻♂️) the other day from GameStop. It is a beast. And works with multiple scales. Comes with the most useless stand EVER.

Good review, Robo! I don't know about this figure though. I sometimes think they are too large to look good on display with the other figures.
For clay face, being large is no problem- plus he’s actually kind of short when compared to 7-inch so I bet he’d scale perfectly with 6-inch

I saw one at Target about two to three weeks ago. Passed it up for the Robin DKR figure to complete the horse BAF. Went back the next day to actually grab it and of course it was gone. Didn’t know it had an April release.

What was the last ML wave review? Ursa Major? Eternals really killed most Marvel reviews. I haven’t seen any Armordillo or Rintrah waves reviewed, yet. Just a handful of retro Spidey figures.
I still think if Eternals had done two waves, mixing MCU and comic looks, they’d be better received. But the pandemic delays did NOT help.
