So I'm really interested in worker's rights and my friend is working on a video about the connection between worker's right and robot revolutions. Do you think this adventure could be hacked to work in that area? BTW there's an another upcoming setting that connects work culture to the kobold myth.
Yes, you wouldn't even have to hack the adventure. I didn't really get into it, but the module features several automatons that have come free of their enslavement and are rising up against Eth's majordomo and foreman. A central tension of the hexcrawl is resolving a standoff between the freed automatons and the ones that are still subservient to Weiren Oils.
It is beautiful, and it is terrible. Such existential nightmares used to keep one of my personas up many a manic series of nights. What at last allayed our terror was, (on top of other eclectic research) Integrated Information Theory, a fucking awesome intersection of maths and qualia. We're willing to bet at this point that free will-by our definition, the reasons for which we make the choices we consider available to us-is necessary feel any horror for its perceived absence. The horror only results through duress, or ignorance of other available options, where they nonetheless do exist. in other words. my bones feel safe.
I never understood the appeal of being mentioned as a backer as I was the one mentioned by a youtuber I actually enjoy! What an honour! The mic and headset look awesome and I am glad my small contribution helped you get the upgrade. As always, excellent video, Aaron. ^^
Heh, see we feel the opposite sorta valence about it all, coming from a nondualist perspective. At worst, we can laugh at the absurdity of a gestalt Mary Shelley fielding a live service chat about our Cashapp payment declining. And at best, it's like all those poetic thoughts cresting a wave over a lagoon, finding animacy in a new pool of consciousness.
"and then a bunch of people announced a bunch of really boring parody movies and games" -not the point of the video, but a welcome moment of levity
I just get so bored by the annual “what if winnie the pooh was TwIsTeD?”
YUPPP@@aavoigt
Also one of those games was a nazi dogwhistle.
"all of this sucks ass and I hate it" AND YOU'RE REAL FOR THAT!!!
Really wonderful and thoughtful essay as ever!
Welp, there's another game that goes on the ever growing list of books I should buy sometime.
