Almost every album in this video I have in my collection. You have great taste. That Country Joe Electric Music is one of my all time faves. I saw the Grateful Dead a few times in the 70s and 80s, those LPs you showed are classics, love the artwork on Aoxomoxoa. Nice copy of Pearls Before Swine's 1st, mine has a smaller picture with a white border. Clearlight, the Seeds, and the mighty 13th Floor Elevators, all just fantastic albums. You have a killer collection, and thanks for giving people a chance to see it. So keep up the good work!👍🖖✌

Hi, thanks for the feedback...I just posted a psychedelic record & CD collection part 3 today...I know from your comment that you watched part 1, but did you watch part 2?...I'm still going to do another, part 4 featuring psychedelic blues & garage bands like Blue Cheer & The Count 5.

I noticed you have a mono copy of Paupers- Magic people. What do you think of the sound of the mono pressing? I had a mono copy myself and the sound was very muffled and muddy when compared to the stereo press.

I bought Magic People back in July 1967. I was 16 and my head was swimming with all the far out psychedelic music coming out that year. I bought it because I liked the colorful psychedelic cover with out knowing who the band was or what they sounded like. I was not disappointed. I really dug the songs, "Magic People" "Its Your Mind" and "Think I Care" I was taken by Skip's drumming. It was a mono copy and I played it on my little record player with the plastic handle that squeaked and the felt covered metal turntable that rang like a gong when struck. It had a needle like a little nail that screwed into the arm, with a small speaker, so I didn't know muddy from clear. I've since bought a 2 record set featuring the first two Pauper's albums on edsel records. I'll have to play them side by side now, I am curious. Thanks for comment

@@grooverealizations Thanks for your reply. A nail like stylus? Oh no! Also that mono Paupers is a cut out. Let me guess, 50 cents 😉

@@rockinronist My original Magic People mono copy cost me around $2.69 in July 1967. The copy I showed in the video I bought on Discogs recently for around 7 or 8 dollars. In beautiful condition, NM vinyl / VG+ sleeve. I still have my original copy, but it is a wreck. I keep it as a relic of the psychedelic summer of "67.. It is full of scratches and marks and the cover is ripped, torn and split apart. I played it to death back in the day. I was big into the electric twelve string guitar sound, being a big fan of the Byrds. Eight Miles High blew my mind!

@@rockinronist Back in the 60's, before samples/streaming on computers was available, if a band or record was not played on the radio there was no telling what they sounded like. So I used to buy what I called, "chance records" which were albums I bought because i thought the album art was cool, but had no idea what they sounded like. Two examples are the Velvet Underground Banana album and Zappa's Freak Out. Both albums blew me away!
The one I am about to focus on is Hapshash and the Coloured Coat featuring the Human Host and the Heavy Metal Kids...Sundazed calls it a Subterranean Psychedelic Treasure. I was drawn in to its tribal vibe and voodoo ambiance from start to finish. I love it and play it to this day!

@@rockinronist Do you view the Omaha Introvert, channel with Hanna? Well she posted a video not long ago in which she featured post punk Goth...It got me thinking, the first Iron Butterfly album HEAVY may have been the first Goth album. It had those dark baritone vocals with the syrupy thick organ and what sounded like down tuned heavily distorted guitars. It had a dark sound overall in the production. The album cover art was cool, with its blue and yellow...it was another chance album that blew me away!
