I think they are coming from Col. Bruce Hampton, watch: ruclips.net/video/l9gXADKqiIA/видео.html. Hampton taught the song to Brandon. Skip James and Cream didn't do much more than: "I'm so glad, I'm so glad, I'm glad, I'm glad, I'm glad..."
