I managed a bar called "The Echo" back in the 70's in Dayton Ohio. The response was so great...they stayed over 4 another nite. We took them to Denny's by the bar 4 food after the show both nights. Super nice people
RIP BS & JT your music will outlive us all
I remember hearing In For The kill when I was a wee lad back in the 70`s . My hoodlum friends and I used to hang out in a local hippies basement smoking weed ,plotting mischief, and listening to imported rock music, which we had "borrowed" from a local head shop. Burkes vocals were unlke anything we had heard...Noone Knew that much about Budgie, but we knew they rocked !
I saw these in the Checkmate in Caerphilly when i was a lad (73 ish), brilliant especially guts wow what a band they were, big influence on local bands
no posing spandex jeans n vest just pure brit rock played as it should be saw them in 79 80 and2007 and still luv em
BRILLIANT band sound quality on this attrocius
Saw them at Newcastle City Hall four times in the 70s and they NEVER played anything from their first two albums. Pretty annoying cause they were my favourite Budgie albums then and still are. I remember asking them backstage why they never did anything from their first album and Burke just said 'that album's really old now - we like to do new stuff!' Brilliant live band.
Damn, Burke Shelley sounds as good as he did in the 70's
Brutal Long Live Rock'n'Roll.
Cara, eu sempre falo para os meus amigos, o Budgie é uma das bandas mais ''injustiçadas'' do mundo do Rock/Metal! Os caras fizeram parte das fundações do Metal e da NWOBHM! Mas tá limpo!
thanks for uploading we need more of this classic rock on you tube, sheer quality
Sounds just like my youth...except the hippies were my folks!!
ufo
Rockkkkk and Roooool !!!!!!
Burke Rules!!
una de las mejores bandas de hard rock del planeta..y para David Rivsa,,esta banda nunca a viajado a Colombia hasta ahora por prejuicio de uno de sus integrantes,,
The first example of Heavy rock/ Metal song with Heavy guitars !!!
Dude these songs were from '71, hard rock & "metal" had been evolving since '67. Plenty of heavy psych & proto metal before Budgie or even Sabbath
@@mralexforbes Is that so? ...name them!
Mael-Strom to my ear Jimi Hendrix is a big one with his screaming guitar solos, that’s the spirit of heavy metal!
Hendrix- Machine gun
Blue Cheer- Doctor Please
Arzachel- Clean Innocent Fun
Led Zeppelin- ...
Sir Lord Baltimore’s first album is freaking wild too!! That’s a must listen!
Umm I’m sure there’s a few I missed...
I wasn’t trying to be Mr Knowitall. These r jst some bands I like to blaze up to & wash my ears of bad music like... P!nk or Lady gaga or some shit like that! Miley Virus! :) haha
And of course Budgie! Not trying to take anything away from this awesome band
Still so many bands here on YT that I still haven’t heard when ya look up Heavy Psych playlists 👍 they jst don’t make music like that these days...
thanks for the upload
oh yeah!
Best
Ojalá Budgie venga a Bogotá. Escuché que fué a Medellín hace como dos años
Great performance, but I prefer Tony Bourge's guitar tone. Sounds a bit slick here.
Omg is that Thunderstick on drums…..!!!!!?????!!!!???
Geddy lee on bass and vocals?
Ollrigth
i don't think you looked... they're there to have fun, not to make moshpits!
Underrated? thats a good thing right?
It ain't a good thing mate , not at all
.... This isnt Budgie!!.
