Loved this video. Can anyone tell me if the red/white/blue signage along the way is clearly marked and the way easy to follow? Or, do I need to invest in a GPS, which I prefer not to do. I did St Jean Pied du Port to Santiago but I would like to start in Le Puy en Velay this time around. This video is inspiring.
It’s pretty clearly marked, but might be on a fence post, a rock or a tree rather than an official sign. A couple of times I had a nagging feeling that it had been a while since I’d last seen one, but I backtracked and got back on the path easily.
Yes - you could even get a Compostela for walking 100 k from Sarria, Spain. The Le Puy route connects to St. Jean France. The key is if you got that route you have to walk the last 100K in from Sarria.
@@expatstories2181 well If I walk 600 mi in France I wont walk another to get a certificate. I just thought the pilgram office in st jean could do it. Thanks though
@@dgale1023 I think to get your compostela certificate you have to go to Santiago and go to the pilgrims' office there. But yes, you only have to do 100klms. You would have to show your stamped booklet and answer a few questions.

Unfortunately, it's almost all about cities and buildings. The landscape would have interested me much more.
Have you been? A beautiful destination,.
